Your receptionist needs a new job. She's rude, short, and not comforting when it comes to someone who is frantic about their pet. Get a new front desk woman. I called today at 12:30pm and I would give her zero stars. Seriously am in need of help and that's NOT who id ever want to deal with again. More people need jobs who could do it better then her.

Late night emergency visits are SCARY, there’s no way around it – but when you have a team that is in constant communication with you regarding procedures, cost and wait time, it makes your 2am visit so much easier to bare. The care and thoughtfulness that was given to my husband and I was absolutely amazing. We knew each step that Dr. Gomez and her team preceded forward with our pup, Owsley. SO grateful for ACCESS for opening their doors to us, and guiding us through a challenging evening. Thank you!

I have always had a great experience when I take my pet here. Dr Jones is amazing and very knowledgeable. She is also empathic and personable. The staff there is also amazing and so friendly. When I called to get my dog in I asked for the wait time. Rather than just telling me, they asked what was going on with my pet. Other places did not do this. They also were able to get her seen quickly. They kept me informed frequently throughout the exam. I highly recommend them!

This trip did nothing for me at all. I took my cat in because he was acting strangely and had accidentally gotten outside the night before, and I had mentioned to the vets that his pain seemed to be localized near his ribs. They did a checkup which cost 85 dollars only to tell me what I already knew, and even told me they "didn't see any outward wounds", even though I knew for a fact he had a small visible scratch on his inner thigh; It's as if they didn't check closely enough to even see that. I had already told them multiple times that the pain was around his ribs and that it looked and felt like a small strange bump was there, so I assumed they would pay attention to that area, but apparently not. I got an x-ray done in case he had broken ribs (he didn't), and paid more for a pain relieving shot. In the end, I went home still not knowing what was wrong with my cat who wouldn't eat and was in visible pain, and having paid about 350 dollars. I later found out myself that my cat was dealing with an abscess, in the same spot that I had told them about with the bump. Such a common cat injury, and they couldn't even diagnose that.

My dog was half dead because she got a bad rip giving birth to her first litter. She had 12 puppies! We lost four but 8 of them are healthy little puppies. Anyways, my wife and I hadn’t slept a whole lot because we were up with the mama all night because it was Christmas and nobody was open so we were kind of cranky and moody as it was the next day…yet and still the folks at Animal Critical Care and Emergency Services fixed our dog..they saved her life! We appreciate you guys very much for that, thank you!

The ladies at Acess around midnight last night were so compassionate, sincere, gentle, and warm. Seriously. I called them freaking out about my old girl Stormy, rapidly declining and dry heaving last night. My baby sadly was at her end of life at 14 years old at this point. It was a more comfortable process that I wasn’t expecting out of a hysterical situation. They let us all be with her, and gave us literally as much time as we needed with her. They really felt for us and took the best care of Stormy to her last second. I’m glad it was them. They were truly incredible

Worst place ever. They did not help my animal but instead tried to charge me an extra 700$ after they completed the exam and x-rays. Please don't give them your business for the sake of your loved one.

I am nothing but impressed and relieved for the staff I have encountered here. My dog ate a handful of trail mix that had raisins (take this serious! 1 raisin could kill a dog!) & chocolate (not good either) in it. I frantically drove here and they have been amazing both with my initial visit and follow-up later sameday. As much as I hate meeting people on such circumstances I am so relieved I came here. Thank You all!!

NO VET IS WORTH A HUNDRED DOLLARS A MINUTE!!!! Especially this awful place!!!! Paid $85 and it took the vet about two minutes to call me in my car and tell me she heard "crackling" in my cat's lungs.... and it would be another $300 to know anything else... I have two options... pay the $300 in x-ray or leave... I asked if my cat could be placed on some pain medicine or some sedation for the night until I could get her to my regular vet in the morning... she refused. Told me my cat's problem was not pain related??? When my cat was clearly crying out in pain??? Really? You take $85 spend less than 2 minutes and tell me you hear a crackling? Sadly my cat had to spend the next twelve hours or so in pain until my regular vet opened. Because I refused to pay these clowns any more money. Today my cat spent all day at MY vet being monitored.. cared for..got fluids Etc.. With pain medicine included. Because she 100% needed it. I spent a little over $200. I was also informed by MY vet that there was NO crackling in my cats lungs? Her shallow breathing and paleness was because of the pain she was in.. do to her miscalculation on a jump that ended in a bad fall.. she tore a muscle in her leg.. and my normal vet was able to properly treat her.. care for her.. and medicate her.. This Urgent Care charged me $85 took two minutes to look at my cat. And then gave me some inaccurate pathetic crackling of the lungs diagnosis??? It is not only infuriating but it is disgusting that this place thinks so highly of themselves.. I am happy to say that my cat is back home with me tonight resting comfortably. NO thanks to Animal Critical Care!! All this place did was robbed a single mother with a hurt cat almost $100 for 2 minutes of their time. I have two words of advice for this awful ... disappointing.. pathetic excuse of an urgent care... DO BETTER!!!

After having my girl fixed at our local vets office, she developed an infection in the incision. I am so thankful for this place as they likely saved my baby girls life. Great staff and great prices for an after hours clinic. Thank you all for you kind and compassionate care, you not only showed me but Baby Remi. ????????

Best ER animal hospital i’ve been too, staff is excellent, efficient and can tell that they love their bobs. Yes you have to pay for services, but that’s anywhere you go. I’m glad i brought my sweet baby Diego here, they saved his life. ❤️

Our puppy had been throwing up for 3 days. She was wasting away. Our regular vet had not helped. We went to acces seeking help. We got there they diagnosed the problem immediately and basically saved her life. She is back home today healthy and playful while she recovers. The vet and her staff were clear , definitive and fast which was needed. They were very clear about how much it cost and it ended up being less expensive. Thank you so much.

The staff here were wonderful at a really tough time. Our boy was bitten by another dog the night before Thanksgiving, and the staff were wonderfully communicative the whole time, keeping up updates and giving us time estimates. When we noticed some swelling a few nights later, they spoke to us over the phone, invited us to send some pictures, and called us back to share their thoughts. We worked in particular with a wonderful vet tech (Christine, perhaps?) who was nothing but kind and informative during a stressful experience. While we hope to not see them again for a while (in a good way!) we would 100% return here with our dog if he ever needed it again.

Just go to Wheat Ridge Animal Hospital down the street. They actually let you inside to be with your dying animal, the staff isn’t rude, and they are cheaper for a better level of care.

I brought my 3&1/2 year old dachshund to this clinic after he collapsed & had issues walking with his back legs. They would not allow us inside the building, but kept my dog for 5 hours. After 5 hours they said it was just a pulled muscle in the back & he had “no pain” upon examination. (EVERYONE who knows dogs should know that dachshunds suffer from IVDD. Just Google it…but apparently this place needs to re-educate themselves or actually care about the patients.) When I went to go pick him up he was obviously experiencing pain!! Did they even look at my dog? Who knows since I could not go in the exam room with him. The next day my dog was worse, even with the pain meds they gave him. He completely lost all function in his back legs. I called the clinic back and they didn’t even want to see him, they referred me over to Wheat Ridge Animal Hospital. Wheat Ridge Animal hospital saw us right away, allowed me in the room, figured out the issue & the following day they performed an MRI to confirm the diagnosis & performed back/spine surgery.

My dog had wonderful care they informed me about things they were doing to him and asked me about all the charges that they we’re going to charge going to a emergency hospital is not cheap anywhere They even reimburse us over 300 dollars. Would recommend this place to anybody. Very nice people thank you so much to all the staff. And for taking very good care of our dog.

You know when you get a feeling in your gut about something…. I had that today. I took my very sick Boxer there today for some solutions to make her comfortable until we can go to our usual vet tomorrow Monday. I arrived and they wouldn’t let me go in with her because of Covid…. I told them I wasn’t comfortable with that and neither was my dog, but I was desperate, so I let her go. The tech said to wait in my car or go home and they’ll call me when they get to her…. Was she in a Kennel alone waiting to see the vet?? Who knows! Required $85 fee before they even see you pet, then you pay additional again later. What??? I get a call an hour later that they need to do blood work and urine analysis and that it would be another $430 something. That seems outrageous to me and still wouldn’t allow me in to be with her. I declined and just wanted to take her home and felt like I was being taken advantage of or maybe just don’t like how they run their practice. Either way, I wanted out. They bring her out with my credit card, ID and receipt and make me sign multiple forms that I declined treatment because “she is very sick and may not make it though the night and the dr doesn’t want to be liable”. Very disappointed.

My little old lady Olivia had a rough summer, first near death GI issues, and then she almost lost her eye. It says a lot that my chihuahua actually perks up and gives kisses to everyone that works here any time she has had to go in for an emergency. The people that work here are absolute angels to me. They have cried with me, spent time answering every question I could come up with, they didn't judge me when I called at 2am to tell them what I read on google, and they treated my baby just like they would their own. I cannot recommend them more!

Without a doubt the best animal hospital I have ever been to. My lab puppy ate his leash and had to have surgery. It was a third of the the cost compared to the the first emergency hospital I took him to and the care and compassion was A …

The front desk person is very nice and thoughtful but the vets themselves are heartless and cruel. You go there hoping to get some help with your dying pet and they act like you are inconveniencing them with your very presence. I wanted to see if anything could be done for my pet. Anything at all. Even if the chances were slim, I owed him that. The lady who looked at him acted like I had just insulted her mother, and I really did not need her negativity during such a horrible thing as a pet's death. I don't know what went wrong in that vet's life but she really ought to get her act together and show some compassion for once.

I’m a veterinarian and completely trust the team at ACCESS with my pet’s care! My kitty needed urgent help for a urethral obstruction (he couldn’t pee). The team came to the rescue and took great care of my kitty. Now he is resting comfortably at home!

My dog received critical care from here after a hit-and-run accident. I think they did a good job in treating my pet and making sure he was okay before getting discharged. However, they are definitely money hungry. Only empathetic towards animal, not really towards the owners and their financial obligations. They did not thoroughly go over my dog's procedure and cost, and only expected me to pay up IN FULL, the astronomical amount.

Our dog ate something toxic on a Sunday evening and was having balance issues. We called the clinic and they said to bring him in right away. The staff was really responsive and took great care of our dog. They updated us frequently and answered all our questions. Thank you for helping our Milton!!

My cat was at another vet and they sent her home without helping her. So I brought her here. With no appointment they got her in right away. They were so helpful and nice with me and my cat. Like everyone said they do take your ID and Card. But that's to be expected. We waited 2hours and she was done. It was $130 which is very well price compared to most other places. They are still doing covid procedures but that's ok. I will be taking all my pets here. Thank you for all your help! Update: I brought my dog in after having such good care for my cat. My dog was having a hard time breathing. They said it would cost $700 to check her out. I ask to do some kind of payment plan. They called me back and said we'll it will be $1200 to $4000 to give her 12 to 24hr care. Never help me with a payment but offer to put her to sleep. I don't think they like dogs much. Sad to say I was forced to put her to sleep.

The worst place to possibly go to bring your baby to cross the rainbow bridge. They told me I would get her back in 8-10 days. It has now been 14 and they told me she is still intact and has not been cremated because of some mix up? What does that even mean?!!! I won’t get her back for another week!!!!!!!! Do not recommend at all
