Cocoa and I learned SO much from Teri and her crew at Angels in the Making. It's evident that everyone here loves dogs. Better yet, they KNOW dogs, and they will help you to understand and teach yours. Teri personalized our weekly lessons to meet our pup's needs, and she was always responsive to emails between classes when a training or behavior question would come up. Five stars, absolutely.

This trainer uses positive methods, using the latest research in animal behavior. My vet highly recommends. I have seen very nice results with a friend's dog as she has worked with them.

They were awesome with both of my dogs. One in a puppy class and another one in well mannered class. Teri is very patient and my dogs love her.

We approached Teri for help with behavior issues with our dog, Mona Lisa, who had been showing aggression towards other dogs. Over the course of a month, Teri worked with us and our dog to get the tools we need for training to reduce aggression. Mona Lisa is already much happier and more obedient. I recently had the pleasure of meeting with Teri to assist me with Molly, a young dog that I had recently adopted that was having some behavior issues. I was incredibly impressed with Teri and her ability to provide me with the tools that I needed to help me manage Molly's behaviors. Teri is a fantastic trainer! We have had the benefit of training with her twice with two dogs. Two years later they are both well mannered and take commands from us as well as others. Teri has great patience to teach animals as well as humans- and our case we needed her patience more than our dogs! I can still email Teri with questions and she never fails to respond. Very highly recommend.

Personally, I do not know how I would have survived without Angels in the Making. My dog is large and weighs almost 60 pounds. I adopted Cocoa when she was 5 years old so she had already established some really bad habits (for example, yanking on the leash when walking and jumping all over strangers). With the help of Angles in the Making, Cocoa's behavior and demeanor has greatly improved. I recently had a neighbor over at my house who had last seen Cocoa prior to attending the Well Mannered Dog classes. My neighbor commented that Cocoa was "practically a different animal" and that "she was so well behaved". Teri at Angels in the Making is very knowledgeable about dog behavior. If your dog is acting out or not listening, Teri can guide you on how to respond to your dog's behavior to help your dog become successful. For every skill, Teri provides detailed information to help you progress through the various skills at your dog's pace. In addition to the instruction, the facilities are well maintained and Teri constantly works to provide a good environment for my dog and I to work together.

I say "us", because any good pet training program must first train the owner. Boon responded very well to Teri's methods. After our first session, he knew what was in store whenever we arrived at Angels in the Making. He became excited, and led me straight to the classroom. The course was very well taught, and easily met my expectations. Teri's compassion and enthusiasm were always obvious to me. Since attending the class, I have often asked Teri for advice on new behavioral issues and other concerns. She always has good, thoughtful, and free answers for me. That's going the extra mile. Teri is an amazing positive trainer. I have had the great pleasure of working with her for many years as a student, client and as a professional animal advocate. My personal believe is that every dog should have the appropriate puppy education and manners training. I can't think of a better trainer to have in this process than Teri. Teri's knowledge is exceptional as is her amazing ability with animals. I have seen her work wonders with dogs, especially those that did not have the best ground work in the beginning. She has a special gift in her ability to read body language in the animals along with the outstanding ability to help owners understand and work with their pets. Teri has always said to me that there is an angel in every pet, they just need the proper training and guidance from their human family to bring that out. Thank you, Teri, for all you did for me and my "pups" - they are 3+ years now, they are beautiful, and very good. I never did have to "go to" any kind of training collars for them with the chickens, I just worked with them for hours and hours, watching, monitoring and rewarding them as you suggested. And, this is huge for me, when I take them out off leash or on leash, I can't tell you how many times people with or without dogs stop and tell me how beautifully behaved they are (and how they wish their dogs were so good!). That is a huge testament to you and your training - training the dogs AND me! We are also constantly amazed at how well they do in the house, even when we're eating (that training session was worth it all by itself). Of course, I go thru about $20 worth of treats every month!
