The nicest people! If I was a horse, this is where I would want to retire.

Very sad ! I tried reaching out several times to get information on some Horses. Very poor services, this animals need a good caring home.

Because... they love these animals and strive to take excellent care so that they can be adopted .

Avoid volunteering here. Setting is gorgeous but people are treated like dirt. An example is liability agreement which must be signed to participate and is far more draconian than the law requires. Even the horses suffer from the oppressive atmosphere. Hay is old and inadequate, pens are mud holes. I won't work here again. Too depressing.

Every time I volunteer at HPL, it puts a smile on my face! The staff is amazing and the horses are treated extremely well. I've been around horses for a long time and I can definitely say that their facility is top notch!

Volunteers and Horses are great. Have concerns about mixing a nonprofit mission with staff/board personal business interests and using property for a nonprofit mission for personal gain.

Beautiful property maintained by knowledgeable horse people. They truly care for the horse; all their goals are to better the horses lives.

Excellent care and volunteers doing an excellent job

Volunteering here is always a blast. People are very nice here and treat the horses great. Boarding your horse here even helps support their rescue efforts.
