I've been taking my dogs to Mesa Vet for more than a decade. We've seen several doctors and techs there and they've always been caring and helpful. You get the sense that everyone who works there genuinely likes dogs. I recommend them highly.

Everyone at this office is so kind and helpful. I rescued a turtle who needed immediate care and the doctor shared her knowledge of how to treat and provide continued care for Happy, our newest family member.

Mesa Vet has been taking care of our dogs and cats for over 30 years and do a great job. They are knowledgeable, helpful, and caring. They are always available, even during the pandemic. I heartily recommend them.

My dogs don’t like anywhere else and I know I can trust the doctors and staff here. I have tried others, but they aren’t as good. The dogs also seem to like the staff here better than anywhere else I’ve tried.

Dr. Dieckmann has been great with our puppy, Phoebe. She gives good, clear instructions, she is thorough, and treats our dog like she is her only patient. I recommend her to anyone considering Mesa as their vet.

Had a bearded dragon pass away due to a stomach tumor and they helped and consoled us the whole way, letting us know what our most practical options are. Even sent us a get well letter a few weeks after, it was very appreciated ???? Now 6 months later I have a Uromastyx lizard, he has a small infection on his leg and they were SO quick to address the issue, prescribe him what he needed and train us how to administer his medicine. Their exotic vets and technicians are top notch, they're almost 40 mins away from me but the care our pets receive here is worth it!

Took my tomato frog here. Vet assistant didn’t even wash her hands or put on gloves before handling him. Didn’t wipe down or sanitize any surface she put him on, including the visibly soiled scale she used to weigh him. Frog skin is extremely sensitive and they should only ever be handled when necessary and with clean plastic gloves on. Vet googled answers to my questions in front of me and charged me $75+ ???????? wish I could give a zero. This establishment is an embarrassment. Or at least the “exotic” vet and her assistant are.

I had been a client for over 30 years. I felt like I had always received excellent care for all my animals over the years. I used to recommend Mesa for family, friends, and acquaintances. Recently my elderly dog took a fall down the stairs and had a leg and spinal injury. I was told not to bother coming in because they were busy and I would be 10 minutes late for an appointment (due to drive time). This left my dog in tremendous pain while I tried to figure out where to take her. Perhaps if I had not been put on hold for 10-15 minutes I could have made it in time. I tried to reach out to the doctor to see if this was a typical response. I never received a call back. Mesa has become so busy that they no longer can provide the service they used to. Mesa staff, congratulations on your thriving business. But client beware, it might be at the price of your animal who needs care.

The care was wonderful but Mesa is very expensive (almost $300 for an annual exam, Heart Guard Plus, and blood work).

We have been going to Mesa Veterinary Hospital for just about a year and couldn't be happier. As new pet owners, we are more on the anxious side and they have listened to all of our extensive questions. Even on the more mundane issues, they have given us a lot of attention and patience. I am so thankful that my friend recommended this place. We have only been patients during COVID times and I am also thankful for their safety protocols. Our kitty gives two paws up!!

Recently, I had a hedgehog surrendered to me as his owner was moving into an apartment that didn’t allow exotic pets. The same night I brought him home was the same night I found a massive mite infestation on him. He rapidly began losing alarming amounts of quills and was extremely flakey, grumpy, and smelled awful. Finally I got him in to see Dr. K today. He was in and out in about 30 minutes and I’ve never felt such relief and gratefulness. Dr. K called and explained that she believes he has a pretty intense mite infestation as well as a secondary infection. While this made my heart hurt for my little needle baby, she explained that she was going to apply Revolution mite medicine and was also going to prescribe him a week of antibiotics and pain medicine. I asked if she had seen any mites and she said that based on his symptoms she knew it was a mite problem. She said in order for her to see them she would have to do a skin sample and see under the microscope, but that it was an extra charge that she felt would waste my money, so she did not do it. I greatly appreciate the thoughtfulness on her behalf but also her taking such wonderful care of my lil guy. I immediately administered some pain medicine for my hedgie In the car and ALREADY he is more spiritely, eating and drinking better, and less grumpy. Thank you so so so much for treating my little guy like he were your own. My faith and trust will forever lie with Mesa and Dr. K.

I was concerned that my 14 month old puppy was peeing blood (Already Spayed) and Mesa Veterinary said they wouldn't be able to see her for 3 days. Its pretty sad when you turn to an Animal Hospital for help and they seem unwilling or expect you to wait several days when its obvious the animal needs to be seen.

Dr. K is literally the best. Saying she “treats your pet as if it were her own” is not a cliche here. She genuinely cares about every aspect of your pets physical and emotional well-being. She is great about gauging your level of knowledge …

This past week my second and youngest cat had his first dental cleaning and the Doctors found a major problem in a rear molar of my cat. The team at Mesa always works together and helped improve the life of my best friend. Thank you for your hard work, Preventative and first dental appointments for cats are very important and can save a you g animals life.

After moving across country from New York City my 19-year-old dog, yes 19-years-old, had a really puffy eye. After calling nine different vets in the Denver area and none of them would take us, I found this incredible veterinary hospital. The staff got us in right away and was so kind when I was so worried. They had incredible Covid protocol: We called them upon arrival and they told us which door to come in to place the dog. Then a few minutes later Dr. Steven Batch called us after observing our pup. He spent over 20 minutes on the phone with us going over what he felt was the problem and all the options that we had. He was kind, considerate, and incredibly detailed so we could understand, everything. Honestly is a true great doctor. When he was ready they called us back to the same door to pick up our healthy pup. I’m super grateful that I found this wonderful veterinary hospital and can’t say enough great things about them!!

I came here because of the numerous 5 star reviews and now I am leaving my own! Had a pup crying and limping. My old vet was "too busy to possibly get her in before ___." 3 days away. No THANK YOU. I googled vets nearby and Mesa had the best reviews. I called, and we were in a treatment room within 30 minutes! The staff is wonderful! I couldn't be happier with the quality of care and the cost was very reasonable. Great, clean and modern office. Truly top notch in every way.

Dr. K was able to see our sick rooster, General Clucks, right away, after being turned away from 8 other vets for lack of appointments. She called after the initial exam and gave me a full explanation of the respiratory issue and the treatment plan. I'm so pleased!!! Thank you!

Dr. Walker is an excellent doctor and I trust her with my 2 Pugs. I have ongoing issues with one of my Pugs and she is always available when I have questions and returns my calls. The staff is competent and friendly to my Pugs and myself. I highly recommend this veterinary hospital.

I had a horrible experience trying to find a vet for my bunny, given many clinics don’t accept small pets or exotics and I could not emphasize enough what a game changer Mesa vet hospital was. They were extremely helpful, empathetic, professional, knowledgeable and not to mention affordable. The whole process was so smooth, and it gave me peace of mind knowing my bunny was in such great hands. These people know what they’re doing. I will now be making Mesa my primary vet for all my furry friends.
