From the decor, The beautiful plants in the reception area, the staff, the doctor, all have such a welcoming genuine warm feeling. Kind, empathetic, and friendly. Literally the best experience I’ve ever had at an animal hospital!! Keep doing what you are doing because it’s working !!

I've been a patron for 3 years now. I'm currently moving to Durango and my Destiny needed to be spayed. She currently had stopped bleeding a few days prior to her surgery and I didn't think everything would go well. To my pleasure, they approved her for her surgery and took the greatest of care for her. I am forever grateful for their services and the lovely staff that they have.

The staff is very caring and friendly. I have seen them take care of very difficult clients with care and concern during this tough time. Even being understaffed their concern for the animals is always there. They go above and beyond.

We used Francis vet for our pets for well over 25 years. The last time we were there was 2018. Now our dog needs uthenized due to age and failed health but because we have not been there since, the vet will not perform the service. Shame on them. Apparently a long term client means nothing to the current owner's of Francis vet hospital. Fortunately we were able to find highly professional, compassionate care for our dog of nearly 16 years at Table Mountain Vet Clinic. They come with high regards.

My oldest cat had a cyst at the end of her tail. I won't mention the other facility but the price quote for her surgery hi/lo was astronomical. I'll use the word assertive to be kind but the one word and nod shaking answers to my inquiry was a complete turn off. A very good friend of mines who's also a multiple cat owner suggested Francis Veteranary Hospital. From my intial visit to and after my feline's surgery they have been nothing short of professional and patience when listening to your concerns. The cost of surgery was more affordable and I can't imagine someone doing a better job. Wish I can take a pic of my fur baby but she's incognito due to her procedure but is doing better than expected ???? I strongly recommend choosing this place for your loved one.

The staff was amazing and sweet. M.B. sat with my dog before the exam gaining his trust for about 5 min. They gave me a good idea of what everything costs and what was most important. Everyone that I worked with was very sweet and it felt like they really cared. Christian and cheive.

I took my cat in for blood work because we changed her diet to an all-wet diet per the vet's recommendation. Her blood work 5 months previous was normal, and then when we took her in again for blood work and a checkup due, the doctor came back and said she has stage 2 kidney disease and hyperthyroid. My cat has had no change in weight or behavior, so I found this odd. Her test results were sent to me, and there were multiple typos and errors in the numbers. The doctor was also quick to prescribe her thyroid medication when I did not say I wanted to go through with treatment. After the confusion and concern, I took my cat to someone else for a second opinion. The new doctor said, let's not jump the gun on medication, as that can do more harm than good, and let's try a kidney diet and check her levels in a few weeks. He, too, felt the diagnosis was a little extreme, especially with no change in weight or behavior. We ran an SDMA test 4 weeks later, and her levels came back normal, and she is at a healthy weight. So, I am not sure what happened here, but it was very concerning. I would recommend obtaining a second opinion if you are unsure or uneasy with the diagnosis Dr. Burger gives. It is a bummer because the clinic is nice and the staff is very friendly. Hopefully this was just an error and doesn't happen more frequently.

The staff is so wonderful here! My boy Thor is excited every time we pull into the parking lot. They’ve taken great care of him and are so nice to work with. I highly recommend the puppy care here.

They've always been wonderful to my kitties, would highly recommend. Was quite sad to leave them when we left Colorado.

This veterinary hospital is top notch! It feels like you're at a small town clinic where the staff get on the floor and love on your dog. They have been comforting loving professional and affordable. They are a gem here in Golden!!!

After our family worked with Dr Francis for decades, we are leaving the practice. The new owners are pushy, appearing to care more about pushing expensive elective procedures than our pet. The last straw was a vet tech wearing a 'Back the Blue' face mask trying to explain to me that, 'sometimes police just have good reason to shoot unarmed black men' and being incapable of saying she does not support police who shot unarmed black men. Best of luck to the practice!

Every time we call with a question, we are answered in a quick, helpful way. Our dog had dental surgery and healed quickly, with no problems! Dr. Burger is exceptional! And her staff goes beyond professional! Friendly and loving to our dogs! Thank you Dr. Burger and Staff! Amazing!!????

I called when I entered the parking lot & within a few moments Keowana came out with some meds for my dog. I gave a credit card to pay & a sample for analysis. It was convenient & efficient. I am, however, still looking forward to a regular doctor/vet visit. Everyone I dealt with was courteous & efficient.

Dr. Berger and her staff are so amazing. Even with all of the precautions that have to be taken right now they managed to give our Baby cat great treatment and help her feel better. I appreciate how they remember things from previous visits and use that information to continue to provide the best healthcare for our little one. They show how much they care in every aspect of the practice.

I've been coming to this very for 2 years and they know me and my dog by name. Always follow up a vet visit with a phone call. Just great all around. In that time period I have been in for a few emergencies, neutering, vaccines. Excellent service every time. Genuine, high quality care.

Great staff. Very friendly. They go out of their way to accommodate as needed. I have an 11-year-old dog that is a bone cancer survivor. Since his surgery 3 years ago his separation anxiety is through the roof! And because of the chemo, drawing blood on him takes forever. So they had my appointment outside in the backyard. That way, he didn't have to be separated from me and they scheduled extra time for the appointment since they know it takes longer to draw blood for the labs necessary for his appointment. Highly recommend Francis veterinary hospital.

Amazing staff and a doctor that actually listens to their families. We love taking our German Shepherd Luna here and she goes with them easily! It helps they have great treats too lol

I felt that our experience with Francis Vet was not the best and we were not treated with the care that I would have liked to seen. Maybe it was our situation and COVID. While I realize we were under stressful times and I understand this small practice most likely didn’t have the bandwidth to take on more than they already were, I felt more empathy could have been extended. More understanding. I’m writing this because we laid our dog down to rest about two weeks ago and the clinic (with COVID rules, couldn’t let us be with our pup inside to see her life through) and I was not ok with that so they told us we should find someone who could come to our home. Which we did. They knew we were laying her to rest, but did not update their records and today I got a reminder that our dog was due for her vaccines, even though she was deceased. I responded to the email that she was laid to rest and the response I received back is why I felt compelled to write this review. The response was “I have taken care of this.” And to me that sums up the care we received at this clinic. No empathy. No sorry. A surface level response. For that, and some other not so great experiences with Francis Vet, I can not recommend this clinic and have given 1 star.

LOVE this place. They saved my pup's life after an incorrect surgery at Wheat Ridge ER. They very clearly love your pet like their own and work tirelessly to give the best care possible.
