They are supposed to be open but their doors are locked. You can definitely tell that someone was in there but didn't want to open!

Kai is very knowledgeable about spiders. Kai suggested small crickets cut up for baby spiders as the fruit flies were not in stock. Worked great!

Really frustrating to show up at 8pm when your website says you close at 9 but your door says 8. I stood outside with 7 other people whose pets didn’t have food for the night and confused why the two times didn’t match. Truly infuriating

I am a local reptile expert with retail mgt. background. The store is in great shape, including the (difficult) aquatic section. Jasmine (Yasmin?) continues to be outstanding. Overall, the customer service has always been great at the Lakeside Petco.

Didn't get a welcoming feeling here. All employees up at checkout chatting - not job related - and ignoring customers while 1 employee was working and checking in with customers as he was able to. Shelves needed stocked. Store not dirty, but had a very cluttered look. Will look at other places to shop next time.

If I could give this place 0 stars, I would. After calling two weeks ago to schedule an appointment for grooming, I was booked for Sunday at 1PM. I showed up to my appointment and the lady at the front desk told me they didn't see my booking even though I was able to provide an email confirmation. She said they didn't see it on their end so they would have to rebook me. I was already pretty annoyed that I drove over there for her scheduled appointment and got turned away because of their staff error. I show up for my appointment on Thursday at 12 after having to ask off work to get her groomed. I let the groomer know that she had a previous injury but has been cleared by her vet to resume normal activities. The lady at the front proceeds to tell me that she can't be seen because she has an injury. I explained once more that it is an old injury and she has been cleared and I can provide documentation from my vet clearing her. She then went to talk to her manager who told her to tell me that my dog can't be seen. I called into the store to speak with a manager to report this behavior and the manager was very nice and put the grooming manager on the phone. He then tried to lie and say he saw my dog limping and that's why she could not get groomed. This man stayed in the back and never saw my dog. My dog was in line jumping and playing with another dog. He was extremely unprofessional and LIED trying to say my pet was limping. I filed a formal complaint against him and I hope for the sake of future customers, that he gets let go

Jazmin was super condescending about me getting a snake, turns out the snake I got had mites, wonderful. I got 2 pets for the price of one. Anyway, avoid this place. They don't take care of their pets.

Set a grooming appointment online, but they called me a couple of hours before to ask me if I could come in earlier because the appointment ran past their closing time. Fortunately I was free. The check in person was EXTREMELY helpful, informative, and nice. When I picked my dog up, the groomer did not put my dogs flea and tick collar back on and we almost walked out with out. Plus, a couple of days later my dog came down with an ear infection. This was the first time I’ve ever had anyone clean her ears (it was part of the package I bought) and the result was a trip to the vet. We won’t be coming back here!

Don't get me wrong they are super convenient and the staff was very helpful. I should've waited though. I spontaneously adopted a fur baby & needed some basics. After looking for 2 mins online I realized Petco must do laundry as well because I got took to the cleaners! I'll def go online and/or local from now on.

I'm not sure how this place stays open. I have attempted to call the grooming salon and never get an answer. So since I can't get anyone to answer I drove over there and stood at their counter for about 5 mins. 5 associates walked by me. Not one said a word to me. No ine was at the grooming salon and the store was pretty empty. I was very disappointed in the customer service at this store. I do not recommend taking your beloved pet here since no one at this location seems to care about anything let alone working. I ended up driving to Arvada Petco whom all were absolutely amazing!!

It's happened twice now where my dog's appointment has been cancelled morning of. The lack of communication is absolutely ridiculous. I confirmed this appointment via text and email multiple times, so I don't understand why it was cancelled and a walk - in took our place. Unfortunately, I cannot speak to the quality of her cut because she's never been able to receive one.

Lakewood location worst manager ever. EXTREMELY BAD attitude. I was there to do a return and she got so upset she ended up putting two giant red lines with a red marker voiding my whole receipt when I still had other items on it I planned to the return at a later time . Now I'm stuck with a useless plastic but very pricy groomer and 60 dollars in bad cat nip . I bought a huge variety of nip to see which one my cat liked and planned to return the ones that she didn't care for. I have done this before at different locations with no issues. But this lady was so rude . She made me feel so unwelcome I will go outta my way to not go back to the . Alameda and wads location
