I have used them 3 to 4 times to groom my wheaten terrier. She is to have a 3/4" coat once cut. She went in with a 2" coat and came out with a 1/8" coat. Her ears are floppy type and typically have hair. She shaved her the same. This was NOT A GROOMING IT WAS A SHEEP SHEARING. VERY MUCH NOT A PROFESSIONAL SERVICE. when I dropped her off she tried to tell me she was matted that was not true as I had brushed her the day before. My dog was the last appointment for the day and they did the quick and easy sheering.

I took my Australian Shepherd here back in March and had a good experience, but just had a terrible second appointment. After dropping my dog off i get a call about 15 minutes later saying he’s doing “alligator rolls” and they cannot groom him. While I understand my dog can be high energy, I’m shocked that someone who sees multiple dogs per day doesn’t have the patience to get the job done. I booked this appointment almost 5 weeks in advance and they did not provide any solutions for me. When I came back to pick him up they also said they have “no record of my first appointment” and looked at me like chop liver. They only gave him a bath so he was soaking wet when I came to get him. Do not recommend this place unless you own tiny dogs since apparently that’s the only breed they want to groom.

Fortunately, we were able to get our dog into this place when a lot of other places turned us down (which is why I gave them 2 stars). Other than that, nothing great about this place. Would not recommend, very unprofessional

my experience was amazing! my aussie loves Holly and she did the best job ever!! my pup is very anxious and she was so amazing with him! i’m so happy I found a place I trust! this is definitely the only place I will bring my dogs!

We needed a quick place to get our dog groomed at last minute... unfortunately JK Ruff House was booked, but when I called & left a message, they promptly returned my call. I appreciated that. Great neighborhood groomer!

Super fast and professional. Felt safe leaving my dogs there with the extra gates. My huskies look amazing and their undercoats were removed completely.

My puppy Poppy has been going to Megan since she was 6 months old. I am so grateful to have found her and been able to keep this relationship for 3 years now. Megan is so caring... Listens to what you want and how you want your puppy to look. She takes great pride in what she does... Is professional, kind and you can tell just loves these puppies! Thank you Megan, I cannot imagine having anyone else!

Not friendly toward customers - even rude at times. First grooming was ok-at-best. The second grooming sealed the deal for me. We will not be back. Seems like they are banking on being related to JK Grooming on 6th, but be warned - they are not even close to as good as the original.

Staff doesn't seem to pay much attention/care too much about the customer service bit of their job. When trying to get a quote the phone was never answered and when I went through Yelp for a quote they didnt read the message I sent at all and just sent me an auto response of "call the store with this information(all the information I had put into the email)for a quote". Though I am interested in seeing their actual grooming work which is why it isnt 2 stars.

I am new to Denver and had made an appointment at JK grooming that obviously got cancelled due to Covid. I called the day they opened back up and they asked me to go to the JKs ruff house location in two weeks. I agreed because my dog needed a haircut SO badly. Her hair had gotten so long and had matted and she was so hot all the time - I did my best to brush her and get them out but honestly it was just very hard and once I had an appointment scheduled, I knew she would be taken care of soon. I got their at 8 AM Saturday- I walked in and the girl told me that they actually weren’t taking new clients with mats. I got very frustrated and asked why they did not tell me that beforehand because I could have gotten her an appointment somewhere else. She understood my frustration and called the owner. He was on his way- I stood outside and waited for 10 minutes in tears ( I had been looking forward to my dog getting a haircut for weeks because she needed it so bad). The owner got there and felt her and explained the policy some more about why they weren’t taking them - I understood but also explained that I know she would need a full shave and I was fine with that and would sign anything I needed too. I also explained that I had been to the vet the week before and if I had known that they weren’t going to shave her, I could of taken care of it then and now I would have to wait another month and my dog would only get worse. He went to the back to make some more calls and came out saying he would take her but I would need to sign some forms and she would be completely shaved. I started filling out the form while the owner is blatantly complaining to the workers saying he would have to cut this dog himself and complaining about how it was going to take him all day. (This is all while I am standing there crying). I finally just said I was going to leave because I felt like he was just trying to make me feel bad, and his response was “well you should.” NOT OKAY. I understand the policy and that my dog was very matted. However, they should of let me know when I made the appointment or called me when they changed their policy. I had literally cancelled a trip because I wanted my dog to get a hair cut so bad and knew she needed it. Also, do not blatantly complain about my dog and try to make me feel bad in front of me. I know she was matted - that’s why I had made an appointment in March because I didn’t want it to get this bad. Make your policies clear before someone cancels a trip and gets up early on a Saturday and drives 25 minutes.

JK came recommended from a friend when my 95lb bernese was long overdue for a bath. They cleaned her up great and gave her an awesome cut. Will definitely be going back .

I'm very happy with my experience at JK's Ruff House and will definitely be using them as my regular groomer for my dogs going forward. Two of my three are rescues so I was nervous how they'd react to the whole experience...they did great! Very professional, bright and clean shop, and I love the location and space.

They have a policy that if you run 15 min late you pay 30. But if they are running 1 hour late they do not notify you in any way. Brought my dog here and after waiting in the lobby for 15 before being spoken to was told (without any remorse/empathy) that it would be an extra hour before they would see my dog. Other dog groomers in Denver have more staff, are more timely, and are friendlier. I'd suggest going to one of them.

First, I have to say that Sam is one of the best groomers I’ve found and I am always happy with her customer service and the way she grooms my dog. However, I picked up my dog today to hear that the owner has instated a 20+% price increase for my dog’s groom, without notice. My dog is 35 pounds and I have never paid north of $75, even at the more “boujee“ places in town (with the exception of little brown dog). Raising your prices $20 without warning because the “other places in town charge that much” is a quick way to lose customers and the many referrals that come from them. As a business owner I’m sure you’re aware that word of mouth is one of the most effective and cheapest marketing tools. If you need to raise your prices you should consider grandfathering your current/repeat clients into the pricing they have had in the past. You’re lucky to have Sam on your team- she is the only thing retaining my business.
