Happy Dog Daycare Denver, Colorado

We love this place! They have taken in our four year old high energy German Shepherd and made her and us feel welcome. The staff is very accommodating and friendly and appears knowledgeable and capable in their dog handling. They are responsive by phone and email, not always the case with other places we have tried. Our girl is very happy to go there and fits in well with the other dogs. Staff is not intimidated by her energy and her GSD tendency at times to “herd” other dogs. They know she is sweet and they know exactly how to handle her. Other places we have taken her to have not been as capable or as willing. The facilities are spacious and clean. There is a kiddy pool and a large pool for hot weather, and indoor and outdoor areas. The location is very convenient for us in NE Denver and easy to get to and park at. Most important, the dogs appear happy and cared for. We are very pleased to have found Happy Dog, which seems well-named.

very intimidating place for a dog, especially on their first visit. One of my dogs, a puppy, was dragged into a crowd of 15 older dogs hovering over him. My dog was scared, dug in his hind legs and they dragged him out. My other dog (4yo) was denied membership, because he was not able to calm down but he was only given 90 seconds for introductions and to acclimate to the environment. Luckily, I was taking a video of their security monitor, hoping to catch the cute introduction but that wasn’t the case. Out of all the dog daycares I’ve been to, this is the least welcoming. Front desk staff was friendly and welcoming.

Our puppy loves this place! She is always so excited to go! The staff is wonderful and the business is run in an organized manner with numerous safety protocols to protect the dogs.

Fantastic place to take your pooch. They care about pets rather than some dog care places that just have uncaring employees. They have a trial day for our dog to make sure he melded with the pack. Our dog lives the swim lessons that trey offer and those lessons due the trick to really tire out our high energy Chocolate Labrador. Spa services, caring employees what more could you want.

Recently moved to Denver and I took my 3 year old pup there to see about boarding him. My pup has gone to daycare and boarding regularly since we got him, he has never been aggressive to other dogs outside of normal dog behavior. During the 30 min intro evalutaion my dog was doing fine- then he got into the kiddie pool and another dog approached and he kinda of nipped at him but didn't even come close to the other dog. The pack leader immediately put his leash on him and escorted him back out saying they could not take him as he was not a good fit. I watched the entire thing on camera and it was NOTHING unlike normal dog behavior. Furthermore, the pack leader was rudely yelling at the animals like they were bad children, the vibe was off the second I walked in, feel like I dodged a bullet here. They turned away the person right before me too because the dog barred its teeth once....I guess they don't want business Thankfully after this terrible experience I took him to Ace Dog Denver, there was no evaluation. He spent about five hours there today and when I picked him up the staff was so excited and couldn’t stop talking about how much they loved him and how fun he was.

Our dogs absolutely love it here! The staff is professional and responsive! I trust them and recommend them! We have small/medium dogs!

After staff said reservations weren't necessary I brought my dog in and they refused to take him because I hadn't made reservations. After I called out the haughty manager on this, he said one of his staff hadn't showed. Sad that I was left in the lurch due to his lack of planning. Also, they never came through on the special they offered new members. A bad experience all round due to lack of planning and no organization.

Happiest place on earth for daycare and boarding! The staff here is awesome, very attentive to the dogs. Both our dogs love it and there is plenty of activity for the high-energy sheppard. They can come back pretty dirty, which I would expect anyway with all the other dogs and the space to play, but Happy Dog also offers baths and grooming as well as training and swim lessons. We've only used the daycare and boarding, but would trust them for any of our dogs' needs!

Such a great team! They really love the dogs and do their absolute best in ensuring each dog has a great time!

We have boarded our two little dogs here several times. We feel like they are safe and well cared for. Admittedly, one of our dogs came home sick after the last visit, but it isn't like kids don't pick up colds at daycare.

I've taken my dog here 4 times and I just can't ever bring him here again. When I pick him up, they never know which dog he is and have even tried to give me the wrong dog to take home. If something happened to him, they would have no idea …

They are very caring and loving with the dogs. Even take some of the dogs for walks depending on time there. It kinda like babysitters for you dog wile your working or on vacation. Good place.

The staff are great and very helpful. I bought a training package with Collin as I have a crazy new dog in the house. Wow, what a transformation! Love this place.

My dog loves it here

On a Sunday, I booked an appointment online for a Meet and Greet and I also submitted a request for boarding. The next morning, I called to confirm because I hadn’t heard from anyone even though they had been open for more than 4 hours. The employee that answered the phone told me that they didn’t do Meet and Greets on Mondays since their manager wasn’t there- only in the mornings T-F. (Why was I able to book an appointment if it wasn’t actually available?!) I explained my situation that I desperately needed boarding the same day, as we had a last-minute trip come up. I assured the employee that my dog has been in daycare and boarding his entire life and is quite a nice and social dog with great temperament. I asked if there was any way they could accommodate us and she told us, “no, but there are plenty of other boarding facilities around”. So Happy Dog Daycare has lost all future business with us. Quite unfortunate. Maybe their daycare/boarding is great? I won’t know. I was able to find another place that was happy to accommodate and board my dog. I’ll gladly give them my money.

I have been taking my dog, Dudley, to Happy Dog Daycare for almost 2 years. Words cannot explain just how wonderful this place is. I can’t even say “doggie daycare” around my dog because he gets so excited and thinks that is where we are going. Colin is a dog whisperer and the entire staff truly loves dogs. I always feel so secure knowing my dog is in good hands and it doesn’t hurt that he is exhausted when I pick him up at the end of the day.???? I can’t imagine my life without this place and would recommend them to anyone!!!

I came in to work on some IT related issues they had, and thought I should share what I saw over the few days I was there. Amazing staff and great facility! I am pretty sure they are all dog whisperers BTW. The dogs really loved the staff and the staff really loved them back. It was quite beautiful to see. We are dog lovers and would use them and recommend them 100%

Spur loves this place they are adorable but very well structured. Great dogs and packages. Spur sleeps all night after being here and the staff is wonderful
