Dr James is fantastic! Takes great care of both of our animals.

We had a very sick cat, my wife called 2 times to get the vet to call, our cat died, the vet never called, I'm.100 percent positive he never received our message to get help.

Dr. James has been my vet for 2 decades. He has always treated my cats with kindness, compassion, and humor (when appropriate. ) Today my cat Moses was trying to beg for scratches while Dr. James was reading his chart. Moses got his scratches after being told that he wasn't helping.

The owners of Aspen Animal Hospital are the most compassionate people i have come across and would recommend everytime. My pets are everything and i am a protective pet mom besides being skeptical of new people and places and i could relax and not worry when my dog Beasley was in their care. I have nothing but gratitude for the owners of Aspen. Its wonderful knowing there were absolutely good and genuine couple i can rely on. Thank you Aspen Animal Hospital for everything you do!

We really like Dr. James, but there just aren't enough hands to handle the traffic. I came to dread even calling because the front office oftentimes seem stressed out. Non-illness visits are okay, just be prepared to schedule well in advance. Illness related issues typically resulted in me having to take our dog to another vet to be seen. Earlier this year, my dog was placed on an expensive prescription diet. When it didn't seem to be helping, I made the dreaded call to see if we should continue this route before I picked up another bag of food that was almost $100 (if memory serves, I think that was $20 more than it was just a couple months or so before). I received no response. I tried again and still never got an answer, so I had to schedule a window time just to pick up a bag of food. Around this time, my dog became ill and off we went to see another vet who could see him that day. This vet discovered bladder stones had developed that needed to be surgically removed; I had mentioned maybe a couple months before when I was at Aspen that his urine flow seemed off, so there were definitely an issue. I was a little reluctant to have a vet we'd never worked with do the surgery, so I called Aspen about this as well as to get an idea of the cost. Maybe Aspen was too busy for even a surgical estimate, but they said it would take 2-3 weeks to even see him for their own eval; no telling how long the wait for surgery would've been! Meanwhile, the other vet got him on the calendar quickly to avoid a potential emergency (like a stone dropping into his urethra, causing blockage). Surgery was successful and my dog was placed on another prescription diet to try and keep more stones from forming--and now we have an almost $100 barely used bag of food that he can no longer eat. Too many frustrating back-to-back recent experiences to return.

I've been taking my pup to Dr. Bob James for about 3 years now. I'm always happy with the service she receives. My dog is getting older, and I'm a worry wart so I bring her in for small things fairy often. I always feel that Dr. James answers all my questions and eases my worry. I trust his knowledge and expertise. I also appreciate that his prices are very reasonable and he doesn't scare you into paying for things your dog probably doesn't need.

The Aspen Commons animal Hospital and Dr. Bob James, were amazing. Dr. James took his time with each animal and really made them feel comfortable and safe (I have 1 dog and 2 cats). The animals were relaxed for their examine and he really took his time. The price was reasonable as I had 3toget all up-to-date on their shots. I highly recommend them.

Only been there once so far for a general checkup for my dog, but so far so good

I would NEVER trust nor recommend Dr James to care for a fur baby of mine. Last year, he operated on Shotzi to remove a tumor which is ONLY cured with chemo, she had Transmissible Venereal Tumors (TVT). So, not only did he perform an unnecessary surgery, but he left gauze in her. After I had her treated correctly for TVT, by Animal Emergency & Specialty Center (AESC), which was 6 chemo treatments, she was still emitting bloody discharges. I had AESC run tests to find out what was causing the bloody discharge when they discovered she had gauze in her. There was so much gauze that to remove it they had to perform surgery and keep her overnight. I have tried contacting Dr James by emails, with documented attachments of diagnosis, photos of the bloody sheets, and the final invoice for over $3800, I printed all the emails and attachments and sent it to him by mail, plus I’ve called numerous times. I asked to be reimbursed by March 15th, 2021 but he has done nothing to make this right, so I have now reached out to Channel 7 for help.

I have been coming to Aspen Commons for many years now with an array of dogs & cats. I and my various pets have always received excellent service and attention. Dr. James and the staff are compassionate and professional. They listen and provide solutions as best they can.

Caring, kind and so very empathetic. They have always taken such amazing care of our greyhounds. Our dogs have never minded to "go to the vet's". I truly doubt we'll ever go anywhere else.

our cat was attacked by a pitbull and we took her to Aspen Commons Hospital without making an appointment. We are not disappointed. Dr. James and the staff attended us promptly, with the care, attention and professionalism that we would like to see in many other places in our society. I can only thank the attention they have always treated us and, especially, our pets.

You know those places that you want to keep quiet about so you can selfishly keep it all to yourself? This is one of them. There aren’t enough words to describe how wonderful this practice is! Dr. James and his crew are a needle in a haystack!

I brought my 8 week old puppy to his first vet visit on 8/3/20 to see Dr. Bob James. It was a fantastic visit - great Doctor and great staff so don't let the shopping center sketch you out. The doctor was actually referred to us by one of the neighbors and Doctor Bob knew who the owner/dog was just by the dog's first name. The doc even got down to the puppies level and played, giggled and made the doggie feel comfortable with him. He answered my laundry list of first time dog dad questions with patience. The first visit was FREE too! Plan to use them going forward.

After my not so pleasant initial experience that was primarily due to an internal issue not scheduling me for my first ever appointment. I gave Aspen Commons another chance to see what their vet services were like. Dr. Bob James is a great vet and followed up their positive reviews and made up for my negative first experience.
