RMGSD is the most wonderful business for German Shepherds I have ever encountered. I have dreamed of having my own shepherd for some time, but it is not always easy to find a quality breeder of this type. I worked primarily with Jayne, and she was helpful in quickly working with me to find the right dog for my needs. She let me visit the facility (the grounds are clean, the dogs looked so happy, and they had so much space to run), and meet a few of the options to help me find my right match - I ended up with this beautiful 2 year old beauty. Jayne cares a lot about her dogs, and you can tell, because my girl really trusts humans and it's clear she has been treated well, as she gives nothing but love out to everyone she meets. I am confident I will go to RMGSD again in the future! Highly recommend to anyone in the CO area thinking of getting a German Shepherd!

We took our 2.5 year old female Shepard, who had been developing some bad habits. We worked primarily with Steve, who was wonderful! We had such a great experience and now get to enjoy walks and family time with our dog! They helped us to control her leash aggression and she is so responsive to her commands!!! Steve answered all of our questions throughout the entire program. He spend a great deal of time with us during pick up to ensure we understood what was expected of our dog and how to issue commands going forward. It was such a great learning experience for the whole family. We highly recommend this training facility and enjoyed our entire experience. If you are thinking about a training program but are on the fence, this is hands down the one to try!

State of art dog training facility nestled in one of most beautiful places

Jayne and crew are so knowledgeable and really care about the breed and temperament of their dogs. The facility is gorgeous and the dogs all so well cared for. We couldn't have dreamed of a better fit for our family.

Jayne and her staff are wonderful people, they can train any dog breed, they also offer boarding and pure bred. We couldn’t be happier with our new puppy and how she handled our first rescue puppy who was unfortunately abused at a young age. Please give these folks a call.

Rocky German German Shepherds is the only place we will get GSDs. Jayne is a wealth of knowledge and truly cares for the breed - it shows in everything she does and she knows more about the breed, their traits, their genetics, and tendencies than any forum online or off. Speaking of training, Taylor performed absolute wonders with our GSD. The dog had a bit of a rocky start thanks to someone else (not someone recommended by Rocky Mountain) who should not be training any dog. Our mistake. That dog is now night and day different despite our errors thanks to Taylor.

Our experience with RMGS was nothing short of amazing. Steve worked with our GS, Koda, and was an incredible trainer. Even after Koda’s training/stay there ended, Steve and everyone else provided help when we faced some challenges at home. The challenges faced were handler error and to no fault of them or Koda. The trainers and staff actually care and want to see you and your dog succeed. They are all extremely knowledgeable about the GS breed. We can’t thank you enough for all of the advice and training. Koda is doing great! We recommend to anyone looking for training for their dog, especially German Shepherd owners.

Our almost 2-year old GSD Atlas (intact male) is a wonderful boy but we realized after trying a couple of hourly based trainers that he needed more than we were providing. Leash pulling, aggression towards other dogs and just overall anxiety outside the house. I heard about Rocky Mountain German Sheppard's and the results they achieve. Atlas spent just over 30-days with Steve as his trainer...and he is doing so well we are finally at ease with him in public and we can see he has developed a true confidence and more relaxed posture and appearance. Now we are just working on being the confident leaders he deserves and looking forward to follow-ups at RMGS and achieving amazing things with our beloved pup.

Steve and Jayne did a fantastic job training my dog George. They also spent time explaining their philosophy and training to myself. George and I have been practicing and he's doing great and I'm getting better. It was worth every penny thank you for a great program that works.

She has a first class operation which produces amazing Animals. Smart, excellent temperament and beauty. While we waited for our West German Pup. Absolutely the best dogs in the state. Training is wonderful and well done.

We got our dog Senna about 10 months ago and he appears to be in amazing shape. We also sent him to training and Steve was phenomenal! My biggest concern is the lack of communication and responsiveness. During Senna's training, he was vaccinated and although I've made multiple attempts to have these records emailed to me, Jayne has yet to send these over. Overall, I do believe they care, but I do not feel confident that I would recommend Rocky Mountain German Shepherds to my friends/family.

One week into our puppy. Amazing experience with high quality personable and responsive staff. By far the best new dog experience of my life. Dogs are so well cared for and the facility is immaculate. An absolutely positive experience from day 1. Cant recommend any higher.

We just picked up our puppy from the one month training. It was so worth the price. Steve was so amazing! Not only did he keep us updated throughout the month with pictures and messages but he spent around two hours with us explaining everything. He went over all of the commands, what could go wrong + how to deal with it, what we can do at home and how to make sure his training sticks. They are so incredibly nice and responsive it was great. Training with them also gives you the future possibility of boarding. I’m super thankful we found them! If you’re worried about the price let me tell you it is absolutely worth it. I would give them 6 stars if i could!!

Our adoption was a wonderful experience. From meeting the pups at 3 weeks, choosing our little girl at 4, visiting weekly and bringing Siena home at 8 weeks, Jayne was always there to answer questions and offer guidance. I purchased my first puppy from Rocky Mountain German Shepherds last week. I've been wanting to purchase a puppy from Jayne for several years, and the time was finally right. My puppy was well worth the wait. Jayne's facility is amazing. I could tell a lot of time, thought and effort went into the kennels and other areas. Her place is beyond clean. The dogs have plenty of space, shade, water to drink and play in, etc. I've had GSDs for 25 years, and could tell Jayne knows this breed like the back of her hand. Both times I visited before picking up my puppy, I enjoyed listening to her talk to other clients and LEARNING from what she was saying. She is passionate about and devoted to German Shepherds. Jayne's dogs are very social and did not show any signs of aggression when she took me on a tour. Jayne is also very organized. For example, at pickup she gave me a binder containing puppy health records plus a lot of other useful information and some food so puppy would continue eating what he's accustomed to. I would recommend Rocky Mountain German Shepherds to anyone interested in buying this dog breed. I look forward to purchasing another puppy from Jayne in the future.

This was the best place to send my shepherd! Not only did they work with my dog, but they worked with us, showing the importance of the dog owner being trained too. We were able to work with Taylor and Steve. Steve worked with our dog the most, and let me tell you... Steve was amazing. He did a great job with my dog and an even better job training me. I have noticed how less stressed my dog is and my dog feels like he know his role in the family. We took him on a hike for the first time after this boot camp and he did better than we anticipated! Outstanding breeder, facility and dogs. I bought my first GSD(Rocco) from Jayne in Feb of 2019 and couldn’t be happier. From the amount of time Jayne and her son, Taylor, spent with me at their open house, answering my slew of questions, to introducing me to many of their dogs. The personality and demeanor(not to mention how beautiful he is) of Rocco is absolutely perfect, which I’m sure come from his parents, Smokey and Sierra. I also sent Rocco to their board and training for a month, which I HIGHLY recommend. They spend time with the owners to make sure YOU understand how your dog is trained which sets everyone up for success. I will own a GSD for the rest of my life now and will go back to Jayne as long as possible.
