I first checked out Ponderosa because my daughter had such a great experience with her skittish mini aussie. Since my first visit, I have found the staff and veterinarians to be knowledgeable, professional and caring. I would highly recommend Ponderosa Veterinary Hospital for all your fur-babies health needs.

Ponderosa is hands down one of the best veterinarian clinics I've ever dealt with. I already have referred two families there, that in turn...LOVE Ponderosa and would say the same thing as myself. I will continue to direct others their way as long as service remains the same standard. 5 star service from arriving to leaving.

First visit here and we had a great experience

We came upon this clinic when our senior dog was suffering from sudden discomfort and wouldn't eat. We had called our regular vet and were told they had no openings. Desperate for help we started calling multiple vet clinics in the city. Each time we received the same response, no openings. Then we called Ponderosa. They told us to bring him in right away. They went above and beyond to help our beloved dog. The doctor kept us informed and was very honest, helping us make informed decisions. When our dog unfortunately succumbed to his disease they provided genuine care and compassion. The level of concern was exemplary. The care and treatment provided was professional and affordable. We decided at that time to switch all our dog's vet care to Ponderosa. We are a multiple dog household so having a clinic we can trust to provide the best possible care at affordable cost is very important. They have successfully treated our pug for digestive issues , and continue to provide well care for all our dogs. My daughter loves this clinic so much she drives from Oregon to bring her dog in for his health needs. I strongly recommend Ponderosa clinic!

They called me back with an opening, gave our dog a last minute surgery after Thanksgiving and were very professional, communicative, and helpful through all.

From the instant I walked in and expressed the emergency condition that my cat, Remi, was in, the staff understood the urgency and showed so much kindness, attention, and devotion in providing the absolute best care that Remi needed while also helping me remain calm and involved every step of the way. There is no way I could ever thank Dr. Bassett enough and Remi is alive and thriving because of the expertise and love of the Ponderosa Vets and their techs. My animals have been patients at Ponderosa since Dr. Coufal opened his clinic in Black Forest. Recently our 10 year old English mastiff Keely was diagnosed with a tumor on her liver. There were many days when she was not feeling well. Dr. Coufal and his staff were always able to see us and were so through and compassionate when examining her. You can tell Dr. Coufal cares deeply for his patients. He even called and checked in on the weekend when she had really stared to feel bad so that he could support her with anything she might need. When we made the most difficult decision that Keely could not go on, Dr. Coufal and one of the techs Dave came to our house and was able to let Keely peacefully go to heaven in the comfort of her own home and bed. I will never be able to show my gratitude towards Dr. Coufal and the staff at Ponderosa.

Great vet advice about puppy

This visit was for a routine rabies vaccine but happened to be a week post incident when my dog had been bitten by another dog. Dr. Coufal did a thorough assessment of the bite locations and gave consideration to the need for any more treatment. He was on the floor with my dog, looking at the dog's chest area from underneath, saying to the dog "I'm not sure about the best way to get a good look at this, buddy". I was so impressed with the vet's attention to the dog's sensitivity. Ultimately, I was assured that my dog was healing just fine. He got his vaccination and we were on our way.

Had urgent issue with new puppy. Looked for a highly rated vet and Ponderosa vet clinic had 5 stars. They fit us in on the same day. My pet was checked out thoroughly, received vaccines, and medication for the issue we went in for. The vets, staff, and facility are of 5-star quality. I have a happy, healthy pet to prove it.

Lucky to live near the best Vet Clinic in Colorado Springs. We have been going to this same vet for nearly 6 years now. I cannot praise the staff members and Doctors enough. Truly a blessing to have them so close by. They are so professional, courteous, and caring when it comes to their patients. This is a VERY good Vet Clinic.

Made the mistake of not choosing this practice first after we moved here from out of state! Amazing staff and very knowledgeable and compassionate. My dogs have always received FANTASTIC care here. They have always taken the time to answer all of my questions thoroughly and made me feel as though my dogs’ health and quality of life is their priority, as well, and not just mine. I’ve even called with a few urgent questions and they are always extremely helpful and quick! I feel as though prices are very fair, the building is very clean…. Cannot see us going anywhere else.

Loved it my cat was taken care of so fast and they were so kind!

We recently had to say goodbye to a dog at Ponderosa. He was our buddy and had been with us for over a decade. They were incredibly professional, compassionate and kind. They had a comfort room where we could sit with him as he passed. The entire process was as good as it could have been, considering. The entire staff did everything they could. We received remains back in a very nice engraved wooden urn with a clay paw print. We’ve also brought in our other dogs for various needs, even some very serious at times. The vets and staff at Ponderosa go consistently above and beyond to create the best possible outcomes. Highly recommend this vet.

I absolutely love this office. They really take the time to listen to you. All of the staff is super friendly and I recommend this office to anyone and everyone looking for a vet.

Their new building is beautiful and the staff was super awesome

They are very kind people who are very attentive to my fur babies. They are my new go to clinic for all of my dogs' check ups and various health needs! I get one of my dogs' blood tests every 6 months and the prices are very fair!

The staff are so kind, accommodating, and wellness visit was very thorough. Reasonable prices and beautiful facility. I'm so grateful we were able to establish care here and look forward to our pup having quality care here!
