I've been taking my furry family to Buxton for 20 years. I love them. I believe it's a husband and wife team. They are wonderful with the animals. Their prices are reasonable. Even though I moved just south of town I still make the drive to their north academy office. I can't imagine taking my pets anywhere else. Thank you for everything you've done for my family. ❤????????❤

Both my parents and myself been going to Dr Buxton for about at least 15 years he's treated many of our cats. He's been able to help us with a lot, easy decisions and hard ones. If I can I will keep going to Buxton as long as he's around and in practice! I highly recommend.

I moved here from out of state and needed to find a new Veterinary Hospital for my fur babies. As a vet tech in specialty medicine I am quite particular about my pets care. Everyone was extremely kind with my two dogs. Dr. Ron was very personable and answered all of my questions. We love Buxton Veterinary Hospital!

very caring staff that understands they work with animals. they are very patient and helpful when your fur baby isn't acting its best, our cat was treated horribky at another vet for acting like a cat, so we took him here and they were wonderful

My family has used Buxton Veterinary for probably as long as I can remember .We Moved to the neighborhood in1972 .I'm not sure exactly when my mother started using them , however that location and all I can remember my family using for our pets. That is because they treat you like family.From the veterinarians all the way throughout the whole staff, they're very kind and very patient. What really impresses me, is when I called to set up an appointment the front desk was very knowledgeable about the questions I asked for making an appointment for my beloved 14 year old pit mix dog named Dinara. I was worried because she's having problems with jer hips , little breathing problems ,and a couple of other issues and I didn't want to bring her in because I was afraid they would tell me I should probably put her down. Howeverthefemale that answered the phone and I wish I knew her name, able to answer my questions when I explained the symptoms and he's able to calm me down and say maybe it's just old age. You couldn't promise anything but said it sounded like as long as she was eating, going the bathroom and drinking water not throwing up for food it could be old age but my mind I was worried about cancer and other issues. I have a follow-up appointment to check the blood work for the medicine and so far so good she still with Us in this world. But you would have thought you were talking to on the doctors with a thorough knowledge and unbelievable knowledge of animals. I still don't know who I was talking to but what they told me is also what I looked up on the internet and they said probably old age maybe some allergies that if she was eating well drinking well and couple other things I probably be okay. Right now they're sticking to a couple protocol in place so you have to wait outside for your dog and understandable but they will call you and answer all your questions and I tend to talk a lot like I text a lot and the doctor today (barb) answered all my questions thoroughly and without frustration. I'm not sure what other Veterinarians charge for an office visit. But for the Excellence care from everyone who is associated with Buxton Veterinary it is only $56 for the office visit. I see that cost extraordinary low for the service provided. Dinara received a very thorough examination over whole body, teeth , ears , etc. Rabies shot And a generous supply of anti-inflammatories .each pill broken in half by staff so I can give her half a pill every 12 hour to make sure I gave her the proper dosage. Written down instructions for $100. Office. If for very sad chance you're dog your pet has to be put down they will let you go into the room. Other than that they come out to the car get your your pet. You must make an appointment. I would like to thank everybody at Buxton Veterinary Care, Thank you very much but the continuous excellent care over the years.

Love their procedures for COVID-19. Great service and consultations. They've been our vet for 20 yrs.

We made an appointment here two weeks ago to get our newest member established at a clinic. We arrived for our appointment 10 minutes early to allow for any paperwork. It was a “call from your car to check in” process due to Covid. So we did so right when we arrived. We waited nearly 30 minutes just to have the girl bring us out a clipboard and tell us she’d back to get our dog. Well, after sitting in the car waiting for an hour, still no service! Finally got fed up and left! Terrible customer service and communication! We have had previous pets here at this clinic so we are very disappointed to have to go elsewhere! But that is RIDICULOUS!

My dog went into surgery...when I picked him up, he was left in his own feces. They charge so much money, however, they do NOT provide the service. The front desk staff are horrible...never get the information in your pet's charts correct...also mix up appts. Hannah, one of staff members at desk can't keep it all straight...mixes everything up. Choose carefully.

I have been going to Buxton for 15 years or more they've seen all of my animals but today I've had enough they refused to see my dog who is bleeding out of her bottom this is the second time I've had an emergency situation where they refused to see my animal there's nobody sitting in the office I even asked if I could wait they wouldn't help me out at all and I was just so disappointed. I will be moving to the vet that has always helped me in these situations when Buxton refused to High plains veterinary hospital I'm not sure why I didn't move to them already that was the last straw I'm not sure what happened to Buxton but I am done with them for good . How do you not see a dog who is bleeding

Barb Buxtom and her husband Ron are extremely dedicated vets who take the time to work out a plan when one is needed. Their prices are less than the average but most importantly, they really care about each animal as well as the owners. They take pride in what they do. My dogs and I are most grateful for their on-going support.

Buxton are the best, most caring veterinarian ever

My baby boy is feeling so much better! He's an unfixed 1 year old pitty and despite his intense training is super high energy. They did a great job keeping him focused and calm.

We moved from Colorado Springs about 4 years ago but used Buxton for all of our dogs. Great vets! Great staff! If we move back we'll without a doubt have them as our to go vets!

When to pick up my ex-boyfriend's dogs they charge too much

I switched to Buxton almost three years ago and they are great! They really take care of your fur buddy and other pets. My dog is so comfortable and trusting when he sees the vet.
