My dog is a rescue from Texas and is currently being treated for Chagas. This is a disease that is transmitted via a bug found in Texas and more southern regions. I noted it on the paperwork and they denied my dog due to him having this disease stating it could be transmitted to other dogs. These people are uniformed and uneducated regarding this disease and clearly didn’t even take the time to research it. A 2 minute google search could have helped them not look dumb. It’s not transmissible from dog to dog unless they plan on giving blood transfusions from my dog to others while he’s there. It shows your unprofessionalism that you would response with inaccurate information and would discriminate against him based on having this disease. Once he finished his treatment we won’t be resending the request. Your clear lack of investment in your potential clients speaks volumes.

My husband and I moved to Colorado Springs a few years ago and shortly after arriving, we searched for a place where we could board our dog should the need arise. We were immediately very impressed with Bam Paws and chose it over all other boarding places we looked into around town. We loved that they have a person on-site 24/7 and we loved that they offered a tour of their facility. Fast forward a few years and we have only needed to board our dog a few times. Each time we have been very pleased, but during our dog’s most recent stay this last weekend, Bam Paws really went above and beyond. We’ve noticed that as our dog is getting older (she’s 12 years old), she is becoming more sensitive to changes to her routine. After being at Bam Paws for 1 day, we received a message from the owner that our dog was upset and had been unable to keep her breakfast down due to her anxiety. The owner wanted to let us know this and to ask our permission to give her chicken, rice, and pumpkin to settle her stomach. Wow! We were so impressed to be given updates on how she was doing and to see someone be caring and attentive enough to give her an adjusted diet. She settled down the next day and had no further issues. We are going to try to take her for occasional daycare in the future so that she will be more comfortable in this environment going forward. All this to say, Bam Paws is a first-class, top notch establishment. We will forever be customers and we are 100 percent confident that they will give our dog the best care possible in our absence.

The ONLY place we trust to care for our "little dudes" when we are away from home. They know Bernie needs his "people time" and one of their staff will always give him a lap to sit in!

I was a little nervous about taking our Marley to daycare. He has never been before, and has issues with being too “protective” of me. They knew just how to handle him, and he did just fine, and even made a new friend! His sister Sophie got a little jealous-she is used to having him all to herself... and... she is a bit of a 70lb princess????, but she seemed to get over it. When we picked them up, there were pictures of them playing and happy. Overall, I got a good feeling there, and they have been sleeping since coming home from their evaluation????. We look forward to a long relationship with BamPaws. (Best thing of all, this is not a chain, it is a local business, yay!) I’m quite sure that once they have been there a few times, this rating will go up to 5 stars. Update: Love this facility.. After taking our babies there for a bit, we love how our dogs are happy when they come home (but tired, amen!) We will be boarding them for a few days, our first time away from them. Laurinda was very kind and compassionate about explaining the boarding process to me while I was trying to not get too emotional. They are staffed 24 hours a day, and have a great bedtime routine. You won't get that from a "chain" facility. If you take your pet anywhere else, you are nuts!

I cannot say enough good things about Bam Paws. My dog has anxiety issues, meds, and isn't use to not having me around. I've never left him at a kennel before but what I love about this place is they have someone who stays onsite overnight, and they text me pics of him doing ok. I trust them with my baby and will again. He did better than I thought he would and we are both happy! It had so much to do with the care and attention he received.

Laurinda & Dave are such awesome owners. I've been taking my dogs here for the past year now and I can't thank them enough for how well they treat Maggie & Caloh. The facility is always so clean and the staff is extremely friendly. Every morning when I pull into the parking lot, my dogs scratch at the door and pull me in! If you're looking to leave your dogs for daycare or boarding, don't think twice. BamPaws is an amazing place!

My almost 11-year-old Yorkie, Naboo, has been groomed here for some time. I’ve been afraid of sending him to daycare because he’s very leash reactive. BamPaws assured me that is common for dogs who are still able to do well at daycare. He goes once a week and seems to love it! He’s been pooped when he comes home, which is great, and seems very excited when I drop him off. Very happy with how they treat him!

We trust our dogs to Bam Paws when we can't take them along with us. We can tell they treat them as if they were their own.

BamPaws is a life saver. We got a last minute invite to go white water rafting and just moved into town so we had no one to watch our two shy dogs. After trying a half day at camp bow wow and leaving horrified, I found BamPaws online and was desperate to get my dogs temperament tested one day before leaving. I missed their last temperament test of the day but the owner worked out a plan so I could bring my dogs in later that day since she knew I was so anxious about leaving them at camp bow wow. The owner was so kind and compassionate with my shy dog Augie and really took the time to assess if BamPaws was a good fit for him. My other dog Millie was right at home immediately. It may not be in the nicest area of town and it’s a little far for us but I’d send my dogs here any day over a big name chain like Camp Bow Wow. Smaller groups. Individualized care and a quiet facility.

I have been taking my dog, Penny, to Bam Paws for two years now. The staff love her and treat her like a queen. Laurinda and Dave are kind and absolutely love our dogs. They also have a groomer that is fantastic and very reasonably price. I feel so lucky that we found Bam Paws after my grandson was born so that my husband could take care of my grandson, and my dog could get all of the attention that she needed, too!

Doggo had such a good time at Bampaws that he can’t hardly stay awake now that we have him home. He plays and loves a little, then he naps. Then he checks out the yard, and then he naps. It takes a lot to wear out a 10 month old Great Dane! Good job, guys!!! I was impressed from the phone call I made to when I dropped him off with the questions they asked me. It was clear they were concerned about my dog before they ever met him. They wanted to know how he had done at other times he had boarded. They wanted to know what commands he knew and which ones he knew but had taken to ignoring because he’s 10 months old and that just happens at this age. They actually read the information I filled out on the form about his eating and social behaviors and talked with me about recent vet visits I’d had. We talked extensively about what would happen if he couldn’t hangout with a play group both with him while boarding and with my bill at the end. I haven’t felt this good about leaving a pet with someone in a really long time. Thank you!!!!❤️

Used Bampaws for 2 days of day care for our 3 year old English Setter. We were very pleased. Talked with one of the owners who was obviously very interested in the dogs under their care. Would highly recommend.

They don't hire anyone that doesn't have a stable home.

BamPaws is the best place in town! My dog, Kimber, loves going there. She can't get in the door quick enough each time I drop her off. The staff all know her by name and truly took the time to get to know her behavior style and quirks. I have never felt so confident that my dog is in great hands! I could not recommend this place more!

What do you do when you need your beloved dogs cared for, while you deal with a personal emergency?!?! We called our veterinary office and asked! They suggested Ban Paws! I cannot praise them enough for working with us to get the necessary shot records from the veterinary clinics! They took our two dogs, made sure they knew everything about them. Got feeding instructions! The facility is amazing! Truly a first class place to leave your dogs, while you work, go out of town for a couple days, or overnight! Thank you for making a very hard situation easier! We are so glad that our Veterinary Office suggested Bam Paws!

We have boarded our dog here a few times, and every time she comes back absolutely exhausted from all the exercise she gets here. We feel comfortable leaving her here knowing they provide 24 hr supervision and give LOTS of playtime! So much better than leaving her somewhere to only be confined to a small cage most of the day. We had to leave a couple of antibiotics with her the last time we boarded her, and the staff members were great about giving her the meds she needed without any issue.
