The best vet I have ever taken my pets to. I see Dr. LaBonde who is a fantastic avian veterinarian, and I couldn't ask for better care for my feather babies.

The only *credentialed* avian vet in the state. Excellent, experienced care for birds.

I've been a client for almost 18 years. In fact I'm now over 150 miles away and still go up once a month. No other clinic can compare.

They are not my regular vet, but my ball python needed a professional diagnosis and my regular vet does not see exotic pets. I was very happy with the treatment. Changing the grade after 2 months of working with them. My ball python had an abscess that seamed to go away with antibiotics. However it came back. I went back in for more antibiotics and to schedule a surgery. I decided to try a longer course of antibiotics instead of surgery right away. After half the antibiotics were used I knew that she needed the surgery so I called to make the appointment. They scheduled me for Christmas eve. A few days later they called to reschedule for new years eve. A week later they called to say they can't do it then either because it is new years eve. This makes sense but they are the ones that scheduled those days. You think you would know the hours of the place they work but I guess not. My new appointment is on January 17. I am still happy with the vet and the work she has done. But the people answering the phones and scheduling appointments are terrible at what they do. I will have to spend more money on antibiotics because of there mistakes and my animal may die! I asked why the animal and the owners are the ones that pay the consequences for there mistakes. I was told that it is there policy

Always professional and passionate about your pet. My parents use them as their vet for the exotic bird store and their rescue. Reasonable prices and quality service. 10/10 would recommend.

The only bird vet in Denver area that I can find. The doctor was very knowledgeable, kind and helpful. They got us an appointment within a few days. Only downfall was it was $150 for a 30 minute appointment for essentially a check-up.

Great doctors, terrible staff. Since we got our English Bulldog earlier this year, they have been anything BUT responsive to us. Getting in contact with the front desk is no problem, but getting in touch with a Vet Tech is proving to be IMPOSSIBLE! My self and my significant other have had to leave messages that are rarely, if EVER, returned! To add to the frustration, my bulldog had to have surgery done to correct his cherry eye issue, which in itself was prompt and went smoothly. However, we were not given his eye ointment because they forgot to include it, AND they NEVER called us for it to be picked up. We only got it a few days later, post surgery, when I went into to get other medications. When trying to speak with someone about it, I couldn't get in touch with ANYONE to answer my questions. Again, we think they're a great vet, but getting in touch with anyone is proving to be an extremely challenging endeavor.

2021 Update: Had to euthanize my hedgehog a week or so ago. Dr. Christen D, was amazing! Kind, knowledgeable, wonderful bedside manner. She allowed me to be in the room with my boy for the whole procedure and gave me some alone time with him afterwards. She was respectful of my needs and feelings from start to finish. Thank you. This place is fantastic! I see Dr. Labronde (not sure I'm spelling it right) who is an exotic vet here. He sees my hedgehog Octavius. He's super knowledgeable and friendly! Any question I ask he answers with senseroty and clearity. The front staff are all very nice and helpful as well. If you're looking for a good vet (at least an exotic one) this is the place to go!

I recently brought my 20 year old cat here for a recheck. I was concerned about some new health issues regarding his kidney disease and age. Dr Geiselhardt was very reassuring and I couldn’t have felt more confident that our beloved boy was in the best possible care.

My family has gone to Homestead since the 70's. We've always gotten great care for our dogs & cats. Years ago our elderly dog needed care & the Vet came to the house. They return calls & the Vets always call with updates & follow-ups. All of our fur babies have lived long lives & had great care from the Vets when needed.

Our first visit was above and beyond what I imagined. Came in to get our guinea pig established and have his nail trimmed. We had a great and informative conversation. The vet also took time to answer questions about other animals for my 6 year old. The family was very clean and welcoming. Great staff. Easy to get a hold of. They also have an online portal for your pet that can help track medications, appointments and more.

Grateful is how I’m feeling for Dr. Christine Duree at Homestead Animal Hospital for her gentle examination of my 19 year old female Tuxedo kitty. Dr. Duree ordered blood work and refilled a prescription for my kitty’s thyroid disease. Since I just moved to Denver, I have hoped to find a friendly & professional animal hospital for my five rescued cats & one rescued dog. I think I found that at Homestead. I really appreciate the information Dr. Duree gave me on Thyroid disease in cats. She seems to be a doctor who can help me manage my pets’ health. I will proceed to bring my other 4 cats & dog for their twice a year examinations.

I give this Veterinary Clinic high marks due to their professional and reliable treatment of my bird and cat. They are caring and responsive when ever I have had my bird boarded with them and my cat examined and her yearly shots. Dr. Jorgensen is always patient with our fur babies. She explains everything so we understand and always gives great advice.

Dr. Labonde has cared for my birds for over 20 years, and I wouldn't go anyplace else! He takes whatever time is necessary to answer questions and address concerns.

Dr. Jorgensen has been our vet for years. She helped us through an end-of-life, a new puppy and a rescue adoption. She is compassionate and empathetic. We are very happy with her and Homestead.

Waited 30 min in a dirty room with no service past our appointment time. Horribly rude receptionist. I walked out because of the lack of service. I am glad I didn't give them my business.

I have been taking my beloved dogs to Dr. John Joseph for almost 30 years. He is the most wonderful veterinarian and I trust him completely. As a physician myself, I have relied on him with my dogs and couldn't imagine taking them to anyone else. His knowledge, expertise and compassion is far beyond any other DVM.

They love and care for your pets like no other! I have birds and a dog. Wouldn’t dream of taking my beloved pets anywhere but Homestead! Plus during height of pandemic they weren’t asking you to hand off your pet and stay in your car. True health professionals!
