Great place. Very caring doctors and techs. The front office staff was very kind and welcoming too. We will definitely be back.

My dogs have always loved everyone here, and we have all been treated with respect as well. We’ve had 2 generations of dogs go through here and we wouldn’t have it any other way. If you even have the smallest question they’re always ready to aid and assist you in so many ways!

Great hospital to bring your dogs to (I don't have other pets). Staff is always courteous, professional, and knowledgeable. All the current vets are amazing as are the assistants.

My dog would be dead now if I had listened to a doctor at VCA back in October 2020. I hope I never have an occasion to enter those doors again.

Was visiting from out of town and my boy got injured on a walk. We didn't have an appointment and even with the COVID restrictions they were able to get him in right away. They were quick and super nice, also accommodating when I had to have someone else call to pay with a different card. If I had gone to my normal vet the visit would have been $300 at least, here it was under $150 including medication. As they were bringing him out they gave us an additional medication that the vet forgot to talk about. Instead of charging us additionally they gave us donated medications for free. I was recommended here and I will 100% recommend other people here.

Outstanding quality care & compassion from the staff and doctors at VCA. We were referred to another clinic but remembered our last emergency visit to VCA. The staff did a great job repairing our pup. We highly recommend this place!

Update: 2 years later, we are still so happy with this vet clinic. They love our dog. Just today I spoke with one of their wonderful veterinarians about some routine blood work. I would not consider taking her anywhere else. My dog was injured in a freak accident, right as our regular vet was closing for the day. We called VCA and they said to bring her right in . They examined our dog, quickly addressed her pain, and gave her the best possible treatment. She's on the mend and we are quite grateful for the excellent care she received.

We are so thankful for everyone at VCA Douglas! My dog all of sudden had a red swollen eye. They gave us meds. The next morning we woke up and his whole side of the face was swollen so they added antibiotics and gave steroid and anti antibiotic shots. The whole weekend the amazing doctors were texting and checking in on him. They even allowed Us to just show up on Sunday when it got worse. They gave us steroids and told us to keep in touch. He is finally back to almost normal and in no pain. They went above and beyond for the care of Riggs and to make sure my family felt comfortable in every way. I will be switching all our dogs over to them!!! Thank you for such amazing care

I was very impressed with my visit to VCA! I was seen by doctor Stone who was very knowledgeable, informative, and caring. She treated my shaking nervous pup like she was her own and made her feel at ease for her dental and vaccinations. She was given plenty of love, treats, and affection during her visit and I felt comfortable knowing she would be well taken care of when I left. I was followed up with several times that day and even given before and after pics which was impressive! All of my questions were thoroughly answered upon pick up and it was nice that I wasn't rushed to pick her up with their flexible evening hours. Thanks VCA for a wonderful experience!

We’ve been bringing our pets here for 16 years and they are wonderful. Staff is always kind and caring to my pets. Dr Boutwell and her assistant Perry are the best.

Today was our first time coming to vca Douglas county. Dr boutwell and Mrs Kathy were amazing. They took the time to help me find the best plan for both our doggies with the best bang for our buck. They Were very patient with us and went over everything Thoroughly. They were so amazing with our dogs. They are very knowledgeable with everything. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for a new vet.

We have been taking our dogs to VCA Douglas County since 2007 and continue to be impressed with the quality of care and concern exhibited by the staff. We love Dr. Stone - she is knowledgeable and takes her time to explain procedures and processes. The front desk staff is courteous, pleasant and friendly. Plus, they are so good with our West Highland Terrorists who go on jihad everytime we have an appt.

Chelsea was very thorough in answering all of my questions about my newly adopted cat. Perry was wonderful, too.

We've lived in several states and VCA Douglas County is among the best vet care we've received for our 4-legged children. Molly and Jackson love seeing their people friends there. The vets and their assistants are friendly, knowledgeable, and caring...and they really getting right down on the floor with our dogs...something we notice and appreciate. And the front office staff are personable and kind. We're treated like family there, and trust them implicitly with the care of our furbabies. We will definitely continue our vet care at VCA Douglas County and will continue to recommend them to our friends/family as we always have.

I am so glad we took Our puppy Henry here when we first adopted him! The VCA care club for puppies is the way to go! We saved thousands of $$! He had so many allergies and health issues and honestly we saw the vet probably every other week for about 6 months. Always free for a check up with the care plan and they always give us the best attention to detail and care. Thank you all so much! We will come to these vets forever for everything!

We have been going to VCA Douglas County for four years now and they have been nothing but great to our two dogs. We have had one surgery and some teeth cleaning. The veterinarians never pressure you to take unnecessary tests and they present you with options for all treatments. We will be using them for the foreseeable future.

Maggie and Angus love Dr. Schmidt, an excellent surgeon and doctor. It is a team of caring individuals with excellent skills and compassion. All my pets have received the best care. This has been our clinic for over 20 years.

My lab Ranger and I had a great experience with Douglas County Vet! Everyone was so nice to us and Ranger especially liked the cheese wiz on the wall! :) They were understanding that I was on a budget and couldn't afford anything that wasn't required for boarding. They were also very upfront with the costs when we initially arrived. We highly recommend them! :)
