The staff are so kind and communicate very clearly. They show compassion in hard situations and we always appreciate everything they do for our little family!

Took the dog in for a regular checkup and as always Dr. Jeff was great.

Dr. Jeff gets 5 stars but the rest of this place gets zero. Brought my dogs multiple times so this isn’t just one bad experience. Dr. Jeff is the only vet there I recommend but he’s not there all the time so he gets booked out really fast. My last visit, my dog has a bloody raw tail and that was the reason for the visit. The only thing everyone was focused on was the thousand shots he didn’t need. After he got the one shot he needed they tried to end the appointment and I asked about his tail. The vet literally said “oh I forgot to look.”……..THAT WAS WHY I BROUGHT HIM IN!!! And I got was a spray so it doesn’t get infected. My dog still has the issue and we’re having to figure it out on our own no thanks to this place. DO NOT RECOMMEND. Sorry Dr. Jeff, you should find a better place to work cause you don’t deserve this review, you’re wonderful.

They are the best around. We moved to Aurora but continue to bring her here. I would drive across the state for the quality care they provide.

Doctors and staff are so caring. I feel comforted by the care given my puppy.

I have a long history with these folks, most of it good, some of it tragic. They are consumate professionals, and very compassionate.

Dr. Jeff is the BEST!! Sydney was great as well! Think my pup Marley loves Dr. Jeff as much as I do! ???? Such a great visit...as always!! My doggo loves to go to the vet! They are a delightful team. Never pushy and Dr. Jeff always makes time to listen and answers all of my silly questions!????????

DO NOT GO THERE! This business specializes in ripping you off! I was there to get a health certificate to travel with my dog. The appointment literally took, 20 minutes for that element of the visit. They charged me $422 for this one piece of paper. I called around and the most expensive vet in Castle Rock was charging $200 for this certificate. Of course I am travelling next week so I couldn't get an appointment in time for that so I was force to pay this ludicrous amount of money. Any vet is better than this one so save your money and go elsewhere.

All of the Vets are great, but Dr. Jeff, with his background in Opthalmology, got to the root of Mitzi's eye issues....she is just great with her Rx drops! They are all so caring and become so involved in your pet's welfare...never too busy to answer questions and to make certain your visit ends with your pet on to better days! Even all the Vet Techs go above and beyond.

Everyone here is so compassionate and caring. I’m grateful for the experience I had.

We drive from Colorado Springs because we are not going to give up Dr. Jeff and Dr. Ivey because of their compassion and the care they give. They are a huge blessing for our pets and we wouldn't think of going anywhere else. Dr. Ivey was there with us during one of the hardest days ever and we are forever grateful.

I've been taking my dogs to Cherished Companions and Dr. Melanie for 22 years! The staff is great, the service is outstanding, and my dogs have always loved each visit. Sure would be difficult to find better Vets!

We love the staff here and they make Maya feel very comfortable despite her anxiety. She’s 13, has some arthritis so needs a little more TLC. We’ve been coming here for over 2 years and are happy with her care, they are responsibly priced for shots and well care.

Can't say enough good things about this place. We've taken both our cats here since we've had them for the last 10 years or so. We had to make the very difficult and sad decision to put one of them down and we trusted Cherished Companions to help us with that process. They were amazing. Very compassionate and kind throughout the process. The doctors were very sweet about taking my multiple calls after having so many questions after we said goodbye to our tabby.

We have been going here forever and they are always so helpful and have taken wonderful care of our family pets! We really appreciate their professionalism and care!!

We had to find a new vet after a very horrifying and traumatizing experience with our original vet clinic. Based on referrals from friends, and seeing great reviews, we decided to take our sweet Golden to Cherished Companions. The first time, he saw Dr. Ivy and we absolutely loved her. The next time, he saw Dr. Melanie as Ivy is no longer there. She was equally amazing with our boy! He was absolutely terrified of anything even resembling a vet clinic after his awful experience at his previous vet, but Cherished Companions made him feel like he was there to see his friends. They were so sweet and patient with him and his nervousness, explained everything thoroughly, and truly made our boy happy, and helped him to trust his Dogtor (which is so huge for him.) Thank you guys, for making such a difference to our sweet Ralphy boy, and for genuinely caring about his well-being. I will always recommend Cherished Companions to anyone who needs a veterinarian.

This review is for Eric Weatherman who 2 weeks ago reviewed Cherished poorly. Because of Covid 19 they exam your dog in another room out of your safety not to mention theirs. Dr Ivy had an opportunity down south come up and not telling the public is out of her privacy. This group of doctors are the best in Douglas County Eric! I’ve tried them all, trust me they are the very finest Veterinarians in the entire county. God Bless Dr Melanie!!!

We recently visited with our two cats for their annual checkups and immunizations. They offer a free dental exam. Our cats both got teeth pulled last year and having regular check ups helps let us know how we are doing with brushing, food, and dental treats. The staff is knowledgeable and communicates well. Our cats are less stressed here than another clinic we visited only once. The staff members have always treated our sweet kitties well.

The folks at Cherished Companions are all very professional and yet loving and compassionate. We have been bringing our dog Bella there for the last 12 1/2 years and they have taken excellent care of her. At 12 and a half she still looks young and feels young. This is all due to the caring attention that the entire staff gives to her. The doctors always give a detailed explanation of what they observe and the actions that they take or recommend. Bella loves going there and they love to see her. You really can't ask for better service or care.

Jason Lang: Cherished Companions and/or Melanie are the only one's I trust with my companions. I live over an hour's drive away and I still use their services. My family and I have known Melanie and I for a very long time now, (well over 15 years), and I trust no one else with the care of my companions. She and her staff are some of the most compassionate, professional, and competent people I have ever met. Update for October, 2020: Once again, Melanie and her staff have been superlative. Because one of my companions is over 19 years old, I asked her staff to be extra careful with him, and they were. When Melanie took over the exam, she too, was extra careful with him. But then, in my, and my families experience, Melanie is always careful with any animal she examines, and we have had our companions under her car for over 20 years now. My parents, my sister, and I have all been trusting Melanie and her staff all this time, and we have never had any problems whatsoever.

Always a good experience with the team at Cherished Companions. Very professional, responsive, and compassionate. We are grateful for their support with our aging k-9 friend.

Excellent staff and care! Dr. Melani and Dr. Jeff were very kind and always willing to answer all of my questions/concerns. The staff is also very friendly and accommodating. When my cat needed prescription ear ointment they had it ready that same day for curbside pick-up which was super convenient for me and safe.

The doctors at Cherished Companions Vet Clinic have taken care of my dogs for well over eleven years. I've had old dogs, as well as puppies, all looked after by Cherished Companion doctors, techs, and office staff. They are all top notch in the field, as well as extremely caring and compassionate. A 100% recommendation!

Can you spell R I P O F F. $38 for 5 minutes to replace a bandage on the leg of a 2 pound puppy that didn’t need to be replaced. And, it fell off the next day. Pricing is obscene and certainly takes advantage of the love people have for their pets. Called them and told them how unhappy I was with them and canceled all future appointments. They didn’t even care, find another vet.

I needed to get my dogs in quickly so they could get their yearly medicine and had just moved to the area. They got me right in for both dogs that day and sent my prescription to chewy.com for me.

I went here for a cat concern that I thought I shouldn’t wait the weekend. They were the only vet that would take me late on a Friday. I had co-vid concerns which they honored. The doctor was very explanatory, friendly and spoke with me over a half hour giving me many options. They are now my new go to vet for all my pet needs and concerns!

Something has changed I have been taking my two dogs here for years never had an issue always very compassionate willing to listen and answer questions openly and honestly however today was different I had made an appointment with our regular vet Dr Ivy who is awesome upon arriving I was told Dr Ivy no longer works there and they did not know where she moved to why did they not tell me this when they made the appointment there was really no response then I was told the new policy there was not to examine my pet with me in the room and they would take it to the back I explained I was uncomfortable with this practice and would no longer be going back in my opinion I'm not sure what's going on there or what changed but I would not take your animal there
