Friendly staff and relatively clean store

Julie did a great job grooming my sweet boy Denver. It’s been a challenge to find a groomer where he feels comfortable, he is a rescue and is often scared and timid, but he looks great and is happy as can be! We will be back for his next bath. Thanks again Julie! And thank you to the check out staff in grooming for getting us set up on the Petco app ????

Extremely rude manager, no stock in anything, hostile staff, and a filthy store. Trying to buy cat litter tonight was one of the worst retail experiences I've had.

Cashier was aggressive and manager lacked any back bone. They wouldn’t sell me a $3.95 fish because I stated I was going to put in glass container. From that point on the cashier was both verbally aggressive and physically stepping towards me as she berated me for her belief that she could not sell a fish into a potentially abusive environment. When questioned about why it is not posted that the fish needed a filtered tank she acknowledged that it wasn’t petco policy but she was changing the world. How hypocritical of petco when back in the fish department they had about 20 + bettas in non filtered containers and 2 fish were dead. But me putting my $3.85 fish in glass container is cruel? Never ever will I shop any petco again.

Extremely dirty store the bathrooms are filthy

Best petco ever staffs there are always friendly and helpful and the fishes there are healthier than other petco and pet smart.

"Restrooms for employees only"? Well, if I can't even wash my hands after touching the bulk dog chews, then there's no way I am spending my weekly pet food budget ($500 for frozen raw for 6 dogs & 1 cat, plus food and toys for 4 birds) here!

The Boulder PetCo is a nicely and logically laid out store with friendly and helpful staff. Pricing on most items is competitive and they even carry some of the more natural pet food brands. The only drawback is that there is very often extremely low or no stock of what is apparently the more popular pet foods. Otherwise we wouldn't hesitate to shop here.

We took our Australian Shepherd in for grooming and they did a very nice job of removing her excess winter coat. She's never gotten so many compliments on how nice and shiny her fur looks! Thanks!

The cashier, Aria Is not friendly at all. The check out with pal rewards took so long and she never feels sorry for that. Very unpleasant experience.

The fish are full of disease. Within a week one has died and killed three other fish in my tank. It is just irresponsible to sell animals that aren’t healthy - the dead snails in other tanks should have told me everything I needed to know. $$$ not animals is clearly what Petco cares about. We have bought fish from all over Boulder and never had any issues. I hate that I was so dumb to buy from a big corporate that doesn’t care about the health of animals.

He normally hates having his nails trimmed. As you can see he was actually pretty happy with Zoe! I have joined the monthly unlimited nail trimming and teeth brushing service. It's awesome!

Petco in Boulder is awesome. The people are super knowledgeable and friendly, especially the dog training girl. She has helped two or three of my friends with their dogs, super solid advice.

Person i spoke with on the phone said they don't have cat backpacks. So i found one online at the same store i called (boulder Arapahoe) and found one in sock for pickup. I'd maybe give them more stars if they didn't sell unethical food products.

I was excited to purchase a Grammostola pulchripes today from this location. As a tarantula hobbyist, I was excited when I saw two T’s available. The one I wanted was a sling about the size of a quarter, if not smaller. When the employee came to assist me in the purchase, he questioned me about what size enclosure I was going to put the sling in. I replied a 5 gallon tank and, in-short, the employee replied that they refuse to sell me the sling since I wasn’t putting it directly in a 10 gallon tank and then he asked if I even had heaters for it. As a Tarantula hobbyist, I can confidently say this size T did not need a 10 gallon for a few more molts as I know what size it will molt to be. He treated me as if I were going to neglect the tarantula, even after showing him photos of my collection of happy T’s. I know when to rehouse a T when it outgrows it’s current enclose. Really a bad experience and not to mention the enclosure they currently have the sling in isn’t a 10 gallon either. Overall disappointing as I normally love to shop at Petco.

This place has it all! Great variety and the friendliest staff in the area. Large selection of pet clothing and toys, I love spending time here!

Good place to get almost all you need for your pet, I didn't found what I was looking for.

We always have a good experience here. Gregor (hopefully I spelled that right) was super helpful and so nice! He was really busy in the fish area when my boyfriend and I went to get some shrimp, but he didn't treat us like he was rushing us, and he didn't rush other people when they had questions and needed help. I can't say enough good things about him! Thank you!

We love the grooming services at Petco! We have a keeshond, a double-coated dog with LOTS of hair and they always do a terrific job. The team clearly knows what to do (and maybe more importantly, what not to do) for her kind of coat. Plus, she always comes home smelling like sugar cookies!

Staff is friendly and helpful!

I am so impressed with how healthy their parakeets are. The cage is amply spacious and the birds are all interactive, eating fresh food provided daily. The staff were super helpful and professional handling them and making sure we were all set to come home. Very impressed.

They don't even have a bathroom! How do you have a large chain store with no bathrooms?! Management should be ashamed!
