Dr Williams was thorough and had a wide ranging knowledge that led to discovering a problem with my dog's neck. She has the skills to address that non-invasively. Will definitely return!

They are so good with our rescue dog who can be a little difficult to warm up to. its our go to spot for boarding. our dog always comes out happy!

Recently had to go out of state for a new job and chose “Gunbarrel Vet Hospital” as the place to board my German Shepherd, Dallas. Since this was Dallas’s first time boarding, combined with the fact she is normally glued to my hip, she had a rough couple of days. When Dallas came in, the staff at Gunbarrell Vet were noticeably caring of my best friend, as soon as I walked in the door. When Dallas realized I was MIA and her anxiety set in, I was immediately contacted by the facility and made aware of her condition and the options a available to me as far as mitigating her stress. The staff member who contacted me was kind, informative, empathetic and assured me that Dallas was likely just stressed out by being boarded for the first time. It felt good to know that they cared enough about Dallas’s mental health to not just let her sort out her stress on her own by taking the time to inform me of how she was doing. It is obvious that these folks care about dogs. On top of the great customer service experience, this place has huge yards and a spotless facility.

Great and very professional. Dr Vail was awesome. She diagnosed our dog in minutes. Treated her and now she is back to her old self. So happy we found this place.

TLDR; Five stars because they show how much they care about the pets while other places appear to only value the money. I am a first time pet owner and trying to be responsible about it. When I first got my pup he was 8 week old and I had responsibly found him a vet and made an appointment for his vaccines two weeks after I was to get him. When I got him he was showing some signs that something might be wrong and my neighbors told me not to wait to see the vet. Called the pre-selected vet and they told me "yeah it sounds serious good luck getting him in somewhere... we are booked until Feb (this was December)". I called many vets in the area and they all had the same reaction. Out of desperation I called Gunbarrel Veterinary Hospital ( a little distance from me) and they could hear the desperation in my voice and told me to get there as quickly possible and the vet would stick around to see Marshall (my little goldendoodle). This office won my business over because I know I can rely on them to be there for my pup when necessary not in two months (good luck ...). They are doing a great job of handling business during covid. The world and especially vet offices are not set up for social distancing and new protocols forced on us by the pandemic. While sometimes wait times can seem long (because we are in the car); we need to remember that they have take payments by phone, contact people by phone to give updates (only so many phone lines in a business) and all things that could have been done faster in person are now being done over the phone to protect us. I think they are doing an A+ job at keeping our pets safe and happy and keeping the humans safe as well (from covid). Thanks Gunbarrel Vet Hospital for being so amazing.

Gunbarrel is amazing with our old man dog who has back issues. We have him on a great pain management plan and they are really great about communication and checking in on our guy. Would definitely recommend!

Cancel culture babies. Had been client 5 years to mixed results but they’re nearby. This morning they called to tell me to come get my kitten and call when I arrive. Did that upon arrival, called a second time to remind them after 20 min, and after 40 minutes reminded again by walking up to the door and stating my wait time. So the vet came outside and without question or discussion asked me not to come back again bc I upset him and his staff. gladly taking my pets elsewhere to deal with more reasonable humans.

This place has great staff. In fact, I've never met a staff member I didn't like here. They all seem to truly care about your animal and providing great care to your animal and also helping you to provide the best care that you can possibly provide for your animal . They're very supportive of your relationship with your dog, cat or whatever it may be.

I have a senior beagle with health problems. Every doctor is so knowledgeable and able to explain things to me so I u/s and know what to do for her. All of the staff is friendly. I don’t worry when I have to drop her off bc I know she is in good hands. Cherry has had two surgeries in the last 6 months and is now doing wonderful. They caught an issue my prior vet missed. So I’m thankful.

It's where we take both our car and dog. Staff is friendly and it seems like appointments are always available. There is a groomer and kennel at this location as well.

LOVED our experience at GB Vet. Our dog did as well (who normally does not love the vet). The staff there really treated our dog like their own and the vets knew what they were doing. The prices are extremely fair and they do not rip you off like a lot of clinics do. We will be back for sure.

I'm a long-time Boulder resident, Gunbarrel Veterinary has cared for my dogs and me with great care and kindness for decades. Always answering my questions, seeing my dog even now with the National Crises. I'm forever Grateful for their dedication to my peace of mind and my animals well-being.

Nice facility, and short waits to get an appointment was a big draw. The vet was experienced. They got annoyed with my anxious dog that was whining during the consultation, which is understandable, but other vets have worked with me to calm him down rather than trying to ignore him, which works better. Still a good vet though.

I just wana give a big thanks to the team at gunbarrel veterinary hospital Dr.vail and Rosemary went above and beyond to take such great care of my dog .i had a great safe feeling when shes there and thank you Dr.Vail for taking the time to call me after her surgery and let me know shes ok you guys are awesome there. and i will highly reccomend your practice to everyone in need of a wonderful vet and great doggy day care very nice clean and friendly facility thank you again.

Using this vet is the greatest regret I've ever had as a dog owner. Had I taken him elsewhere we would have taken advantage of treatment options I didn't know were available, and he would have lived a much happier, healthier life. Instead I was given outdated and useless advice that cost my dog years off his life and cost me thousands of dollars. If I had only taken him somewhere else sooner I would have realized my mistake. I hope you don't make the same mistake I did - avoid this vet.

Best place to bring your pet!

I know not of rates in the industry. No one could care more than Dr Gustafson. He has cared for our five loved ones since 2010 and continues to keep our last well as our companion animal. We highly recommend Doctor Gustafson
