Had such a good experience on the trails with the wranglers Andrew, Clay and Barbie! All the horses were well trained and made you feel comfortable! We did the 1.5 hour ride and crossed the creek which was fun! A really good relaxing Sunday activity!

My friends and I had an awesome time meeting and riding the horses. We did the 1 hour trail ride with a creek crossing. We had beautiful weather and scenic views of Mount Evans. Thank you so much to our guides, especially Andrew. You all did an amazing job accommodating us. ❤

We had the BEST time on our afternoon trail ride. Cookie, Snowball and Tangled are the absolute sweetest horses but our guide, Gabby, was truly the best part of our experience!! She is one of a kind! A real wrangler for sure!!! My kids, 8 and 6, want to come back tomorrow!

An amazing experience - beautiful horses (Cookie, Tangled, Floppy, Snowy & Sonic) and the guide was helpful, super knowledgeable and very fun! Gabby put us all at ease and kept us having fun the whole time. A very fun experience for families!

I just returned from a trip to Denver celebrating my daughter's birthday. We had a wonderful sunset horseback ride with Gabby (our guide) and our horses Snowball and Jock. Gabby was very knowledgeble of the horses and the trail. She was very entertaining and made the 90 minute ride a lot of fun. The horses were beautiful, well trained and moved at just the right tempo were us! I highly recommend this stable and horseback riding experience!

Great experience with scenery and great tour guide (Caleb)! Horses were friendly and very smart (not really any work at all), they follow in line with one another. Caleb gave us some great history of the ranch and on horses themselves. I got to ride “Mags” (Magnolia), she’s a big beautiful black horse, little intimidating at first [and I’m 6’2”], but she’s a sweetheart and very gentle. Thanks for the ride guys!

My wife and I went on the sunset trail ride and absolutely loved it! Our guide, Clay, was experienced with the horses and very polite to us. It was a perfect balance of quite peaceful time and conversation. We would 100% recommend these stables to anyone and can not wait to return again someday soon!

My husband and I did a 1.5 hour sunset trail ride and had a great experience! Our trail guide, Clay, was very friendly and knowledgable. The trail offered great views of the Rocky Mountains and beautiful fall colors. Our ride was peaceful and enjoyable. We will definitely be back! We definitely recommend choosing 12 Mile Stables for your next trail ride!

Had such a great time on the sunset ride! We saw deer and a coyote. The leaves were starting to change color. It really was so much fun and everyone from 12 mile was incredible! We literally rode off into the sunset!

I wish the $12 parking fee was that mentioned when calling about rides, would've dressed appropriately to walk from the school to the stables???? otherwise my niece had fun and can't wait to return!

It was a great first time experience for my nephew Pollo and I. I loved riding Riley she was really sweet. So was Maggie. Sam and Gaby are great guides. We loved the jokes as well. That was a plus.

We booked a ride for our group of 7 in advanced. Upon arrival, the stable/office was unattended. Eventually, I found someone who casually directed me back to the stable/office. . . Once waivers were signed, we each were set up with our horses. The horses were not tacked up yet which I thought cut into our paid time. I would have preferred them to be ready to go. The stable is located inside a state park ($12 entrance fee, bring cash) which ironically is across from a shopping center and also borders a subdivision. It was not the most natural surrounding that I would have envisioned. Although, there was an off leash dog park next to it that was fun to watch on the trail. During our 1 hour prairie trail ride, our rancher was on his phone for what seemed like half the time. I would have preferred a more personal experience without the personal phone calls. The second rancher had to go in and out to expend his horse's energy because it looked like he was breaking in his own horse. At one point, he dangerously came close to running into my cousin's horse. It wasn't a very long or exciting trail except perhaps for the little creek we passed through twice. The trail ride was slow and the horses kept crowding each other. Personally, I think we probably should have saved our money and spent it for a trail that went through a more scenic park. For beginners, this may have been a worthwhile experience.

We had a really great time we did the 1 1/2 hour ride. I highly recommend going with kids that can ride alone 7+. I had my 5 year old ride with me and it was tough but we still enjoyed our ride. Christian was very friendly and communicating with us the whole way. If this is your first time going don't be nervous it only feels scary the first few minutes, and your legs will hurt when you get off. Horses look very well taken care of. Great job guys and gals at 12 Mile Stables. We will be back soon.

Best day ever!!! Both our guides Caleb and (name slipped my mind) a female who was awesome. Made me feel super comfortable and the ride was amazing. The horses all seemed to be gentle and happy animals. Soo happy I did this experience. And of course a big shout out to STORM (pictured below), thanks for the ride girl!

I guess if you are not from Colorado or have never seen a horse before, this might be a good experience for you. I went there to refresh my riding skills and just for fun. Bad call! The entire experience felt like an adult pony ride with an extremely long wait time. Secondly, the trail is nothing to be excited about. Horses appeared to be not in a great shape, except maybe for just a few. Too expensive for a basic ride. If you are from Colorado and/or experienced horse rider, look for a different place.

We had so much fun at 12 Mile Stables! I’m an out of towner and have never ridden a horse before. This place was perfect for a first timer! We rode with Ryan and Sam as our wranglers. They were really helpful and engaging during the ride. I had such a good time, I can’t wait to go again. Highly recommend this place and wranglers to anyone looking for a nice and easy horse trail ride!

Today I signed up for the 1.5 hour tail ride at 12 miles and had a very positive experience. Thanks to the amazing guide, Gabby, and the very funny and sweet horse, Missy, who often took me off the tail into bushes for belly/butt scratch. Together, they granted me a very wonderful time, a little get away from everything. Seeing how the staffs talk about their horses and treat the horses, you can definitely feel their love to those beautiful animals. I highly recommend this place!

I really wanted to like this place more but it fell far short of the mark. Here's the breakdown: 5 star Wranglers. Light hearted, knowledgeable, safty oriented, and obviously love their job. Should be tipped individually. 4 star trail ride. We were part of a group of 9 intermediate-advanced riders and went agonizingly slow. Like children riding in a circle at the fair slow. The scenery was beautiful and the horses obviously knew the trail and were well trained. Just wish the pace was faster than the butterfly's drifting past. 1 star meal. We did the dinner ride (which is in a group not private just fyi) and wow talk about underwhelming. The very least they could do is put the Famous Daves takeout in an insulated bag so it's not stone cold by the time we get to the picnic tables. There are SO many local chefs and small businesses they could cater through that would make the meal more palatable. The best thing in the box is the corn bread muffin. -1 star front desk/check in. First off, they add on gratuity (without it being on the website or the invoice that is emailed). I hate paying gratuity before receiving a service, especially when the service turns out below expectations. Secondly, I was told that they can't split payments. Not knowing either of these things prior to arrival, I brought cash for the amount stated on my invoice. I would pay the gratuity with my card - totally normal thing to do. I asked if he could make an exception and he said sure...... that'll be $95. Not understanding where this number is coming from, I ask to explain and he said that's the price for one rider.... with my wife standing next to me. I state that won't really help us as we're scheduled and have already put money down for two riders and this magical fee of 18% was never stated prior to now (he obviously didn't know the word gratuity or even tip as he kept repeating fee). He then tells me, repeatedly, "well if you can't afford it you're more than welcome not to go" Not wanting to ruin our anniversary by continuing to argue with the disrespectful desk worker, we walk away to cool down and came back to pay with a card. Now all of the sudden he can split the payment and has learned to not call gratuity a fee. Were I allowed to tip as usual, his treatment of my wife and I alone would drop a 20-25% tip to at best 12%. Definitely wish we had gone somewhere closer and hired our own caterer. Not worth the 2 hour drive to be disrespected and 2 hr kiddie ride
