Desert Veterinary Clinic Yuma, California

Just called to make an appt for a nail clip. Nothing more. I'm from out of town and in the area for a week. They wouldn't be able to get her in until Feb as they have to establish her as a patient.... seriously? I confirmed again, it's just nails and she said yes and to try Pet Smart. Just FYI.

Great service by Dr. Haunt and kind staff. Highly recommend this as office.

I have been taking my Australian Shepherd mix to the Desert Veterinary Clinic for three years. I am completely satisfied with the service from staff and Dr. Cheryl Haugo.

My dog was choking on a bone and her tongue was purple, wheezing for air. Called them hysterically and they said it would 500 just to check her in. Didn't give me any advice or helped me in any way. My dogs dead now.

Took dog in for possible eye infection, waited close to an hour before seeing the vet. Prescribed eye drops. Called a week later to let them know medicine was not working and was told I could not get the dog in for another 3 weeks. Used to be a good vet clinic. Now I would not recommend to anyone.

We love Desert Vet. They are friendly, and compassionate with our fur babies. We have been visiting Dr Haugo and her associates for at least 20 years.

I've been taking my dogs to Desert Veterinary Clinic since 2009. Dr. Haugo and her staff are caring and they always treat my mini dachshunds like they would treat their own. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for a clinic in the area.

Desert Vet was responsive to my little dog’s needs. I had not been there before, but they were able to see me the next day. My little Maltese had pancreatitis and Dr. Hartman was able to treat her promptly. I was very impressed with the entire office staff. They were efficient, professional and most importantly, caring. I’m very pleased to have found this great vet office and the satisfaction that brings.

Our Bernese Mountain Dog Bella receives the best care and service at Desert Veterinary Clinic. Dr Ryan and staff are loving, caring and very professional. I know Bella is receiving the best care and The staff at Desert Vet are always there for us when we need them.

Tried calling to schedule a vaccine that my pup needs but they have a 6 week wait-list. Unacceptable. Dr. Hago was great years ago but that doesn't mean anything if they can't even get clients in for nearly 2 months. Highly suggest offering better services, especially for routine stuff like vaccines.

New to me vet clinic. They were thorough and kind. Explained everything so I could understand the problem and solution. Would go back.

Finally get to take my animal to the vet. Appointment this month

Desert Vet has been phenomenal since I moved to the Yuma area. My first visit with them was an emergency visit after my dog was bitten by an off leash dog. They were the first to answer on a Sunday, saw me promptly, answered every question I had, and took great care of my dog. My own dogs are aggressive (leash your dogs people!) and they've been fantastic about keeping them calm and away from other dogs during every visit. I've taken my pets to them ever since, despite the almost hour drive it takes me, just because they've been so amazing. I do dog sitting as well and recommend them to any owners who may not have a vet yet and they're my go to if I were to ever be in a situation that needed them.

We took our holland lop baby bunny there the service was great. My bunny was treated very good. We were so happy with there service we had to do a couple of errands they took care of him we wouldn’t go anywhere else they are great

Take good care of our fur babies and seem to care about them. Very informative.

I have been bringing my pets to Desert Vet for a long while now. They have taken very good care of them from kitten/puppy to old age. I remember especially when they were so compassionate about my having to say good bye to one of my dogs. They really are the best when it comes to pets.

It seems nice and friendly. Clean and open. Try it.

We took one of our dogs in to have a growth removed from his eyelid and at the same time I was told he needed a teeth cleaning. Was given a quote of $2500 for the high end on the first day I took him in. When I took him back to have the procedures done I was told that I was signing the quote that I have been on the first visit. I was not given a copy of that signed copy until I went back to pick him up later that day. When the doctor called me after his procedure had been started and told me how he was doing and that he was going to have to have several teeth removed she told me what I had signed showed a high of $3000. When I called and questioned why the $500 difference no one was able to give me an explanation. I was told that it was my responsibility to have looked at the quote that I had signed the morning I brought him in. I was told by the technician that I was signing the same quote that I had already been given. I had no reason to not trust them. I know now that I can’t trust them and I will not be taking my pets back there for any more appointments. I feel that the doctor did a good job on his procedures and he is a much better puppy now. I just can’t justify not being able to get some sort of an explanation about a $500 increase from what I had originally been quoted.

Extraordinarily huge business in Yuma. Open 7 days per week! Cool! We had an appointment two weeks in advance. Very clean, very professional, well maintained facility. Impressive! We would be happy to return if needed. 5 Stars!

I have been with Desert Vet Clinic for probably 30 years now with dogs and tortoises. No question about it, this is the best vet clinic with the best staff in Yuma! My dogs always come home to me healthier and happy, so all is well.
