Excellent service and they are great with my dog! Very willing to work with you and they bend over backwards to for the customers even with relatively last minute requests. Excellent pricing and my dog loves them! They have my highest recommendation!

We have a 5 month old baby Yorkie named Bonnie, she had some biting and nipping issues. We took her to Kathi and John at the ranch and she is doing so much better now, Kathi is absolutely the best at bringing your dog to understand that you are the boss. It's the nicest facility and she teaches both ends of the leash! They are wonderful people who love animals. We highly recommend them at Blue Barn Ranch. Thank you very much Kathi and John! Blue Barn Ranch and Kathi are amazing! My pup, Nep, is a 75 lb white shepherd husky mix. He is a complicated fella. Dog parks and play dates were tough - he is big, he kept fighting and riling other dogs up. I had anxiety taking him out, always worried he was going to start some bar fight. Kathi gave us structure and rules, and helped me be a confident pet parent. When we first came to BBR, we took a scheduled walk through of the facility. Nep did an evaluation with another dog and he was accepted (relief!). BBR pick up and drop off times are set and strict for our dogs protection. This is a mom/pop shop after all and they give our pups 1 on 1 attention. For the last five years, we have gone to daycare there, long term and short term boarding, and training classes. Nep completed his canine good citizen certification (his ribbon is next to my 3rd grade math bee trophy), he did rally training, basic obedience and 1:1 training with Kathi. And of course my pups favorite thing to do aid swim in that beautiful dog pool (he gets so tired on swimming days I love it). Bottom line: If you invest and partner with Kathi on your pet care - Kathi will invest and partner with you. When my flights are delayed over the holidays or on work trips - she would extend Nep’s stay. When my pup had stomach issues or hot spots - I text her for advice. I appreciate how she takes time to fill me in on his day during pick up. BBR/Kathi’s structure is exactly what this Libra girl and Leo ???? needed.

Blue Barn Ranch is the best! We board our 3 dogs with Kathi & John. Expert training and boarding. We have used Blue Barn Ranch many, many times in the last 5 years and would never go to anyone else for boarding. Kathi has trained 'us, the humans' how to communicate with our dogs!! Smooth sailing now.... highly recommended.

I can't say enough great things about Blue Barn. We just picked up our three dogs and as always they are happy and healthy having enjoyed staying there yet again. And they go back next week. Kathi and her family are wonderful people, and Kathi's training classes have been such enlightening and positive experiences for both us and our dogs. We've boarded a lot of dogs at a lot of places over the last 25 years and have never found a better facility with more caring and qualified people. Highly recommend them over any other facility in or out of the area.

Blue Barn Ranch is family to us at this point. My dog has participated in multiple training classes (both private and group), he has day camp several days per week where he practices his skills and plays with his friends, and he is signed up for a swim package so comes home happily exhausted (and fluffy). When it comes to boarding, Kathi is literally the only person I trust with Levi and she's always done her best to be accommodating of us. The BBR facilities are spotless, they're centrally located, and their classes and services are incredibly affordable for the value provided. Kathi's calendar for private training or boarding can book up quickly but any wait is well worth it. My dog wouldn't be the jolly, adaptable, good-natured goober that he is without his time at BBR and I 100% recommend Blue Barn Ranch.

Kathi was great to work with! We have a 7 month old puppy and we had 3 sessions at Blue Barn Ranch. Kathi was very helpful and very patient with my husband and I when we asked a ton of questions! We are starting to notice positive behavior changes in our puppy and we are grateful! I would definitely recommend Blue Barn Ranch!

I love this place!!! Kathi is super knowledgeable about all things dog and I trust her with all of my fur babies (cats and dog). They provide kennel boarding at a really great price, and exercise/attention is no extra charge. My dog loves the compatible play and all dogs are professionally evaluated to ensure they will have a good time and play safely together. Pick ups and drop offs are quick and easy. The ranch is truly beautiful, as well! I live an hour away, but the drive is worth it to know that my babies will be properly cared for while I'm traveling!

Great place for all your 4 legged family. Completed the Basic Obedience class with my puppy. Kathi and family is awesome at what they do. Training grounds are clean and easy to access. Prices are very reasonable. I drove from San Bernardino to train here

Kathi is amazing. We brought our dogs here last time we lived in the area, and are happy to be back here where our dogs can stay at such an awesome place. She is flexible and accommodating, and we always know our dogs are in good hands here.

What a great place to train and board our dog. A very professional and friendly owner and staff. We are so pleased that our Maggie enjoys every minute at the Blue Barn Ranch. We can now travel knowing she is in good hands and enjoying her stay. Her training has made a great dog more enjoyable to be around. We also love getting compliments from people who meet her and comment about her good manners.

Signed up for a group class with my energetic young dog, Spy. The training approach is very supportive yet straightforward which was a perfect fit for the help that we needed. Even after a few sessions, my strong willed husky pup has learned that life is a lot more fun when you listen, and the novice skills we've gained are turning our hikes and public outings from wrestling matches into pleasant, bonded adventures that we can now enjoy together. Since redirecting a dog's attention is a big learning challenge, a huge additional benefit was exposing him to the the tempting distractions of the occasional horse or barn cat strolling by. Classes are held in a spacious outdoor corral so there were absolutely no concerns over interacting with others during recent shut-downs. My expectations were so exceeded that I signed up for more instruction - which Spy will be happy about, since he never wants to get back in the car to leave this place!

The staff at Blue Barn Ranch helped me to better work with my behaviorally challenged dogs. They are patient with both dog and handler. If you're in need of dog training, this is the place!

Easily the best dog boarding in Yucca Valley.

Kathi seemed very thorough when getting background information on my dogs, one who is special needs, when I booked their stay weeks ahead while moving to the desert. She was friendly and attentive when I dropped the dogs off. She texted me they were doing great during their stay I had to change my pickup from evening to morning due to some changes with my moving schedule and let Kathi know two days in advance. Kathi told me to come on the late side of pickup (7-830am) time since I'd changed my timing (??) On my way to get my pups, I had a little snafu and texted her to let her know I would be arriving closer to 8:40 a.m. than 8:30am. Kathi immediately responded very curtly and was adamant that this *would not work* and that I absolutely must arrive by 8:30 or I would throw her entire day off. I drove like a banshee and arrived at 8: 31am. Then sat in the car until 8:38 while she took photographs and played with somebody else's dog who was being picked up and chatted leisurely with them. She then went inside to get my dogs and brought them out to me at exactly 8:40 am. She never mentioned anything about being adamant I arrived at 8:30 or thanking me for waiting or acknowledging what clearly wasn't the case. . Pretty odd. I did call her later to inquire about some upcoming sitting and she told me that she was booked for the entire holiday season, without me even giving her dates. Perhaps she did not want to take my dog again because of his special needs or was mad that I changed my pickup with two days advance notice (and no change to her fees) I really don't know but I would have preferred that she'd be direct and honest. I was left feeling that while she probably takes good care of the dogs she's not much of a people person/communicator and pretty rigid.

Blue Barn Ranch is a perfect place to board your horse. Great facilities and a clean safe environment with access to miles of trails to ride.

THANK You BLUE BARN RANCH. MY WIFE AND I WERE BESIDES OURSELVES. WE JUST BOUGHT A BEAUTIFUL GERMAN SHEPHERD PUPPY. THAT WAS RIPPING MY ARM'S APART, EVERY DAY MORE BITING AND RIPPING. I TOLD MY WIFE IT'S TIME TO TAKE THIS MONSTER BACK TO THE BREEDER. I WENT TO THE LOCAL BIG BOX PET CARE IN YUCCA VALLEY. TALKED TO THE TRAINER. HE MADE NO SENSE. AND WANTED TO TRAIN MY PUPPY INSIDE THE STORE. AS OTHER DOG'S AND PEOPLE WALKED RIGHT BY. THIS WOULD DISTRACT THE PUPPY. I ASKED THE LADY AT DIRTY DOG O'MAT. TOLD ME ABOUT KATHI AND HER PROFESSIONAL TEAM OF TRAINERS. I JUMPED AT THE CHANCE . I CALLED THE BLUE BARN RANCH UP.AND WAS GIVEN A FREE ASSESSMENT OF HOW SHE WOULD TRAIN MY PUPPY. WOW WHAT A DIFFERENCE IN JUST A SHORT TIME. WE COULDN'T BELIEVE OUR PUPPY BECAME A WONDERFUL MEMBER OF THE FAMILY. THANKS ONLY TO THE BLUE BARN RANCH, TEAM. OUR PUPPY IS NAMED RINGO VON STARR. I USE THE BLUE BARN RANCH FOR DAYCARE AS WELL. I CAN GO TO THE DOCTORS OFFICE, TAKE MY WIFE ON A DATE DAY. AND ENJOY OUR LIVES ONCE AGAIN. THANKS TO THE BLUE BARN RANCH

All my Boys love Blue Barn. Run totally by family, each animal gets plenty of exercise and supervised play! We are frequent, repeat clients of over 4 years. And we come home tired!....Update....2018...Well, the family has grown!!!! We have welcomed Trouble, full brother to Thunder and Lightning (canine), into our home in January!!! And Montana, their equine brother, joined us in November, 2017 . My big boys spend 4 full days and 3 nights a week with Kathi and John. Montana, despite having his own lovely palace at my house, now resides at Blue Barn full time. Why? Because I need a dependable, safe place for them to be while I am working locally and my husband serves overseas. John keeps the ranch SPOTLESS. Kathi and her soon to be daughter-in- law Rachel exercise and love my big boys (woof). Kathi and John's daughter, Lisa, is Lightning's special girl, when she is home working on college break. After 4 days with them, they come home clean, happy and exercised! When my days exceed regular hours, my little boys also stay. I never worry, knowing Kathi makes sure Thebes gets his insulin, and trust me, he can be a challenge. The new kennel building is awesome, heated, cooled and able to run in a power outage with the generator....back to Montana....I had my other horse at Blue Barn (in the barn) for a few years, he just loved it, and John, but I brought him to my home for his last year. Now, Montana occupies his former barn stall at Blue Barn. Relief because, wow, having a horse home is a lot of work. He gets 3 feedings a day, 2 clean outs and I have plenty of space to exercise him. My little animal family has been around....not only locally, but nationally! And Blue Barn is the safest, best run place we have boarded. Very reasonably priced and we all feel just like family. If I did not have them, I could not function in my professional life as I do. Kathi, John, Lisa and Rachel. You guys make my life manageable. ????????

The Blue Barn family is amazing. I took my 5 year old dog to basic obedience classes and Kathi worked with her and you could see the level of professionalism and care that I have not seen very often by trainers. Her techniques are great and the rates are very affordable. Everyone was very sweet and welcoming and the classes provided on many levels are great. I cannot stress how much they care and love doing what they do. If I could give them 10 stars I would.

I’ve left my puppy at Blue Barn twice now, and I couldn’t be happier with who I’ve chosen to board with. First time meeting Kathi she was very welcoming and right away let’s you know your dog will be safe , loved and cared for while at Blue Barn. She will give daily updates on how your pet is doing if you ask for it. Makes me feel good knowing my puppy is always in great hands while there. Thank you Blue Barn ranch! ♥️
