We brought our two dogs here and neither dog enjoyed it. We were nickel and dimed every step of the way, they charged way more the country care ever did, and my great Pyrenees came back to me with a severely fractured and infected dew claw that now needs to be amputated - hello, massive vet bill. They were very rude, over charged us, and didn't follow our instructions for the dogs regarding how much to feed them or what their addon's should be.

We went to the puppy social. It was wonderful! Puppies are spilt up by age and size. It's an hour session and a trainer was there to monitor the puppies and make sure everyone was playing nicely and having fun. Owners stand around and watch all the puppy fun! It was a wonderful experience and a beautiful shade cover yard with artificial grass and kiddie pools for the puppies. I highly recommend!!!

This place is the BEST. I was referred to The Royal K9 about a year ago after adopting a dog who came with a handful of unexpected behavioral challenges. I was very seriously considering returning him because I wasn’t sure if I could give him what he needed, but I’m so glad we came here for help instead. We started out with private sessions with Melina, who helped me understand what my dog needed and what was realistic for him. Since then we’ve participated in puppy socials, an obedience training class with Zack, day camp, and overnight boarding. Every single staff member here is kind, helpful, and knowledgeable. It gives me peace of mind to know my dog is in good hands and the training we’re working on at home is reinforced every time he visits The Royal K9. A year later my little guy is much happier than the scared and sad dog I brought home, and I can’t thank The Royal K9 enough for their huge role in his progress!

Me and my husband just finished a 6 week class with Gina and Melina. It was a wonderful experience and glad we did it. Our relationship with our dog Lavan is a game changer. We got as much trained as the dog. Thanks.

Our dog loves it so much he runs to the gate waiting to get in. Then when I try to bring him home he doesn’t want to leave. That’s a good sign to me. The last place we took him, he didn’t want to get out of the car when we pulled up. ????

One of the best boarding facilities in Orange County! Clean and spacious, with a back yard area for playtime and a caring staff to constantly give their attention to your pet. Located in Yorba Linda, on Valley View in a huge facility. Very accommodating to your busy schedules. Friendly and caring staff, a Zen waiting area with a fountain and Finch palace. Would highly recommend this for your pets stay!

We left our little Maltese dog here for 5 nights and 4 days while we went on vacation. We made sure he was kept in the quiet area, as it was his first time being kenneled. We didn’t have any service on our vacation, so we couldn’t call and ask how he was doing. We paid for him to be taken out to go potty three times a day, played with once a day, and groomed sometime during his 4 day stay. When we called to tell them that we were coming to pick him up, they told us that he was scheduled to be groomed. This was on day 4 of his 4 day stay. My family and I were confused as to why he hadn’t been groomed in the 3 days prior. When we told them that we would reschedule his grooming, they told us that he really needed a bath. When we got there, they again told us he needed a bath. When they brought him out, I could see why. There was dog poop in between his toes and on his tail. We took him home and told the staff that we would give him a bath. When we got home, I noticed that his bottom was red and there was poop caked around it. As we watched him, he dragged him bottom on the grass. We looked closer and saw that the base of his tail down to about an inch below his anus was rubbed raw and had no fur. He has never dragged his bottom along the floor and we were shocked to see the poop caked in the fur around the raw area. I called right away and asked to speak to a manager. The woman in the phone transferred me to the supposed manager and I asked her why his bottom was red. She made it sound like no big deal. She said he had diarrhea, which was common for first time borders. When I told her that I was upset and that we would have to take him to the vet, her only response was “mhmm.” I told her then that we would no longer be doing business with them and hung up. I urge you to look for another business to board and groom your dog. We will not be returning to this business, as it seems that they don’t care enough about their clients to check on them or even clean them up

EDIT: I had previously reviewed with a 1 star, but have updated my review to 5 stars. I reported that my dog did not receive walks/play time paid for based on data from my dog's activity tracker (think FitBit for pets), and the owner in turn responded by conducting a thorough investigation into how this could have happened. Although the results were still conflicting with my own data, we somewhat agreed that Tim may have just fallen through the cracks somehow, I have every reason to believe the workers did not intentionally avoid walking or playing with my dog. The owner has done everything she can to make things right including updating their processes to record walks to ensure similar situations are avoided and to refund me for the services I had reported on. Her professionalism and dedication to the animals and business set a high standard for any small business owner and animal caretaker and I would strongly consider returning here even through this whole experience.

Work was better than attitude. When I made the appointment I talked to them about my dog being skittish with people and they assured me the groomer was patient and used to working with difficult dogs (they have a German Shepherd rescue there). When they called me to let me know they were finished I felt like I was being shamed that he was difficult. I wouldn't bring him back except that their work was excellent. He's never been so clean and handsome. The $90 fee seemed steep but I can't say I felt overcharged, they did a really good job. It wasn't a warm and fuzzy experience, felt more like a bad parent teacher conference on the call and picking him up, but we'll go back because as far as the quality of the grooming it was very, very good.

Been bringing my husky Splash to Country care for quite some time now and always happy with the care they provide. But today they blew me away by providing free boarding when we were unexpectedly evacuated for the Canyon Fire. Great place!

DO NOT TAKE YOUR ANIMAL TO THIS PLACE. OUR DOG CONTRACTED KENNEL COUGH@ THIS BOARDING FACILITY. I CHOSE THIS PLACE BECAUSE I HEARD IT WAS A GOOD PLACE AND I LOVE MY DOG BUT KNEW I NEEDED HER TAKEN CARE OF WHILE ON A BUSINESS TRIP. IVE SPENT HUNDREDS OF DOLLARS ON VET BILLS AND MEDICATION NOT TO MENTION THIS PUTS OUR OTHER ANIMALS AT RISK. ALL OF OUR ANIMALS ARE VERY HEALTHY. BE CAREFUL AND CHECK OUT PLACES THOROUGHLY BEFORE YOU LEAVE YOUR LOVED ONES IN A KENNEL. NOT SURE IF ANYONE IS FAMILIAR WITH THE SOUND OF KENNEL COUGH BUT IT SOUNDS AWFUL AND ITS TOUGH WATCHING AN ANIMAL YOU LOVE SO MUCH LOOK AND SOUND LIKE THEY CAN BARELY BREATHE WHEN COUGHING. JUST BEWARE!????

Great employees and boarding facilities. I board my cat Hannah there and coming up will be boarding her and her new sister, Gracie. They have a separate room for the cats, which is spacious and they play music for them. They also have a huge boarding facility for dogs. This is also the hub for German Shepherd Rescue of Orange County.

We became a regular there leaving our dog there whenever we traveled. However, the last few experiences made us turn away from them forever. Our dog came home with a cut on her nose once, followed by another cut on her leg another time. Both times we suspected maybe it was an accident from the groomer, or play fighting with other dogs, so we didn't think it was an issue since the cuts were small. However, the last time our dog came out, she had a swollen eye! Again, if they were aware of the incident and it was an accident, we'd understand. But! The problem was that they never noticed it. Somehow our dog had a injury, (a pretty serious one considering its her eye), and from the looks of it, was left alone without any care or supervision for hours until we picked her up (right before closing). Her face was covered in what looked like tears, tissue around the eye was completely swelled up to the point where she can't open her eye at all. Staff and owner offered a full refund of the dog stay and grooming, and a trip to the vet. Weeks go by the refund was never received. And they seemed to have changed their tone. From full refund, to blaming their groomer and possibly refunding the grooming cost, to finally, receiving a check in the mail for $15. Grooming was not just $15, so I have no idea what kind of prorated refund that was. We returned the check to them! We didn't stick them with the vet bill either as it was crossing the weekend and our dog seemed to recover slowly after 3-4 days. I would never trust them to take care of my beloved dog again. 1 mystery injury after another without any acknowledgement. And not offering the refund that they promised tells me they're all about the money and have no love or sympathy for the animals.
