When I look back on the year 2021, something I am really grateful for is the skillful and compassionate work of Dr. Tucker and her team. Last Spring, my little cat, Shadow, developed a urinary tract blockage. He was suddenly unable to urinate and was suffering greatly. I turned to Dr. Tucker's clinic, because they were ready to see him immediately, without an appointment, even though they are always booked for weeks in advance. After repeated catheters, and continued blockage, Shadow's only hope for survival was a risky surgery. Dr. Tucker performed this difficult surgery, and Shadow was able to survive and recover. But, even before saving his life, I was impressed by Dr. Tucker and her team's care and compassion. From Dr. Tucker taking Shadow to her home for observation when the clinic was closed, to always making time to see him at a time of emergency, to letting me visit him in the clinic to cheer him up (sometimes daily), to sending Shadow home with his favorite cat bed (just because he took a liking to it), I felt like the clinic's staff really cared about his recovery. Keeping in mind how expensive the surgery and hospitalization was, Dr. Tucker also did a lot to minimize my expenses, doing a lot of work for free, or at a discounted rate. 2021 was a difficult year, but thanks to Dr. Tucker's clinic, I got to spend it in the company of my special kitty. Thank you for your services to the animal community, and special thanks and highest ratings from me and Shadow. He is doing well so far, and we're looking forward to have check-ups in the future. We've been taking our two dogs there for a couple years. They've always provided excellent care, including our older dog's TPLO surgery to address a torn CCL tendon. We've since moved back to the Bay, but still come back up to take our dogs there, we have appreciated their care that much.

Thank you for taking such good care of my little guy. Vets are incredibly overworked yet underappreciated. This practice cares and they are very professional. Prices are extremely reasonable and they are upfront with the cost. They are the true heros. Thank you. Will definitely recommend to others PS: I am Brody's human mom. He is doing so much better now. Its still a fight to pill him, but he is almost back to his original stubborn, bed hogging self. Thank you so much for saving him for us...

Very disappointed in animal care clinics behavior. Years ago they were a good place to go for your pets but there professionalism and customer service has completely been thrown out the window with their compassion. They are rude unhelpful and condescending. They have disappointed me a few times but what lead me to leave this review is how they decided to treat my 80 year old grandmother. First off its hard to get anyone on the phone but if you want to speak to Dr. Tucker it simply wont happen. Whoever answers the front desk phone always has a reason why no you cant talk to her and why you cant wait on hold to talk to her either. Apparently Dr Tucker is in surgery for 8 hours five days week very impressive... I'm not sure if Dr Tucker is aware of this or not. My grandmother has been trying to stay home as much as possible during the pandemic. She has also been loyal client for 13 years. The pandemic has lead her to chewy.com to buy dog products. Her dog was recently put on vet formula dog food which is very expensive as well. Dr. Tucker refused to reply back to an email from Chewy.com requesting approval for the prescription. According to the person who answered the phone when my Grandmother called its because she doesn't like the online platform its her policy. After my grandmother picked up paper copy of the prescription they said oh we would have mailed it to you so you didn't have to come in. Yes thank you for letting us know after the fact. She is 80 they told her more than once to mail a copy to chewy, that woman purposely told her to mail it in stead of email it so that my grandmother would be forced to buy a bag of this food directly from Animal care clinic. My issue is not that they charge more money for the food that's fine its the way that treated her. When I called to get clarification on the whole situation the woman on the phone clearly didn't want to give me her name and when I was trying to figure out who I was talking to I asked if she worked the office. She was clearly offended by my question and said that she worked for the "hospital" everyone did everything. Apparently she feels people who work in offices and accounting are beneath her, the reason I asked is because I was trying to make sure I was talking to someone who was aware of the situation and I wasn't sure that everyone there was. I myself used to be a client but left five years ago because of how my dog was treated and my parents left four years ago because of how they were treated. Prior to how my grandmother was treated I had not left a review because while I was upset I guess I felt it didn't matter. But now I just don't understand why Animal care clinic thinks they can continue to mistreat people. Based off their behavior they should just shut the clinic down or at he very least remove care from their name. At this point they aren't interested in helping pets or their owners its very sad.

Less expensive than most other vets in town. Great service

I love this place and especially my vet Dr. Tucker. My animals all get good care there, dogs cats and even my pigeon. The staff are very friendly and compassionate.

Dr. Tucker& Dr. Clifton are top quality doctor's. Their staff has always been on point and great with my pets. Highly recommend animal care clinic to all. Fair and just clinic.

I'm not sure what to think. I like Dr. Tucker when I talked to her. But my dog has been sick and when I called to get help or an appointment I was told they couldn't see her and to go to another vet. What?? They ARE my vet and I drive half an hour out of town to get to them because I thought they were worth it. Guess not. I'll try to find another vet closer. Too bad. I thought we had found our people.

Wonderful people, smart and spot on diagnosis, kind, individual attention and comprehensive care.

They really do an excellent job with our 3 cats and dog. They provide excellent affordable care and are honest and trustworthy.

We have two cats and a Tasmanian she beast. The staff here has been wonderful with our regular cats and does their best with Salem. Parking can be a bit of a challenge.

I've never used this doctor's office before they were phenomenal they helped me to make a decision that I knew was inevitable. So much compassion and support. The doctor was phenomenal. If I ever get any more animals again or need care I will definitely go there.❤️

We took our dogs here for years. The past few times we were less than happy with the care our dogs recieved. We called and tried to talk to the vet because our dog had an infected anal gland and we wanted to know what to do for our pet. They complete blew us off and didn't want to speak to us. Take your pet somewhere else.

Okay, things are weird during a pandemic. Vet offices are not immune. You go, you are not sure what you are supposed to do. This office did call ahead to confirm the appointment and once I got there I was pretty confused. Do I stay outside, what does curbside mean when it comes to my pet, I can choose to send my pet in and hope that what I'm being charged for is actually happening. Well, I left our appointment with confidence. The vet took her time with me on the phone while I was outside waiting for my pet to be returned to me. I was told my pet has some tarter but was given options on how to combat it rather than directed straight to a dental cleaning. How would I know the difference? I appreciated the honesty. I feel like this place is being safe during this time and cares about the animals who come through.

First time, very nice and caring people and my kittens felt safe.

Doctors Tucker and Clifton are awesome, caring, knowledgeable folks. They are taking care of my older pup who just had a mass removed from his neck. Communication is stellar... Someone is always around to address concerns and give practical advice.

Girlfriend works here and most my family goes here and from what I gather, not a single complaint. My girlfriend always speaks highly of Dr. Tucker and Tech / Manager Rene. Parking can be tight but they are accomodating where it counts--the pets care.
