I wanted to go in and see if i connected with a cat before i went through the online adoption process and was told i couldnt. If i didnt connect with a cat i saw no reason to go through this process as i would have undoubtedly received unwanted emails amongst other things for who knows how long....

They were amazing in their communication with me regarding pet adoptions. They seem to really truly care about their pets.

People are a lot more likely to adopt a dog fron an establishment that is t rude. These people were very rude and uninterested

This rescue is absolutely amazing. I rescued two pitbull puppies from a backyard breeder that was giving them away for free. I had NO plan, and even worse—it turns out they were very very sick with parvo. AGWC Rockin’ Rescue stepped in and helped me, and most importantly saved these babies. Thank you so much. Words will never be able to describe my immense amount of appreciation.

Wonderful rescue. I donate $ when I can, usually Christmas & when I get my bonus. They love the animals and do great work. Friendly volunteers also.

These people lock the dogs up in a cage outside in the back, which is right up against the very loud and busy freeway, and they leave them there all night and then again all day. Am I the only one who thinks this is unacceptable?

We got our little maltipoo Weston there and couldn’t be happier. They were clean, professional and really care for their animals. I highly recommend them!

This is definitely the best animal shelter/rescue in all of Los Angeles county maybe even off Southern California. Everybody that works there is awesome they really put in so much love and work and are dedicated to helping all of these animals find forever homes. Making the world a better place one pet at a time.

We adopted our cat here, who at the time was about 6-8 months old. Her name is Olive - she has grown up to be a really good kitty. Also very pretty and very sweet. We spoil her a lot. The place has a smell to it, but all shelters do. They are thorough about the process, but for good reason. It might annoy some, but it's to the benefit of the animals here. Be honest in your survey so that they can help you find a good animal that will suit you well. Which will benefit both the animal and the owner. And above all, be patient.

I didn't actually go someone borrowed my phone to find the place at 1am... She came back and said oh they are closed... I said oh really?? It's only 1:00 a.m. imagine that...anyway I still have the 8 cats that were to go up there... I gave him five stars because anybody who would take care of a bunch of cats has got my vote...

I was so happy to adopted a dog and I apply for adopted and then a person came in my room to checked everything was great after that I called them many times and I went to this shelter 2 -3 times and I told them I like to adopted a dog after that They never called me back. :) I don't know why they try to keep the dog inside and the dog getting stress in the small room and right now I see on their website have a lot of the dog more than before but it's ok for me if they want I have a dog because I have a dog from somewhere else already . I'm a professional dog trainer and I know a CEO of Petco as well .

No Stars!! One star was required to post I showed up because I wasn’t getting my calls returned. I was rudely and meanly greeted and was told my application was not complete and “why are you wasting my time?” She said I did not include photos of my home. Nowhere on the application or on their website is any mention of required photos. She then shouted “well we’re busy!” My entire experience was unprofessional and unkind. I’ feel badly for these cats, desperate for a home and they have this woman turning people away with her dismissive and rude attitude.

No one should ever adopt an animal from here....I stopped by twice....couldn't see kittens, needed to make appointment...ok, I get it but if I'm there then and now....let me see the animals....you go to the grocery store without an appointment, right? And this place stinks! It is not a "no kill shelter"....find animals elsewhere....

We were so impressed with the staff and volunteers at AGWC. Fabienne and her team are all about the animals, and took their time to make sure we were the right forever home for our dear Hank. We adopted Hank in the fall of 2020, and it took about a couple weeks of emails and several sessions of walking him supervised and on our own to seal the deal. I loved Hank from the moment I saw him, but Fabienne and her team took the careful steps to make sure it was the right fit for Hank too. Luckily they approved! They love the animals so much, and it warmed my heart to see how they cared for Hank during the process and when we adopted him. Great people doing great work for animals in need. Hank says hi!

Not friendly at all. My wife said maybe they were having a bad day but from the reviews they’ve had a few bad days.

We've adopted two pets here over the last 18 months from AGWC, and would happily come to them again. They clearly care about the animals, and are working diligently to find the best possible outcome for everyone.

Nowhere to park unless you take a risk of being towed in somebody else's private parking lot

My husband and I were looking to adopt a new fur baby . after meeting and greeting with a couple,of fur babies .we were introduced to Paige... A loving beautiful husky. We fell in love ... Fabienne the owner of AGWC Rockin Rescue, and all the wonderful caring staff, made our adoption an easy process. I would highly recommend Rockin Rescue to any family,or friends looking to foster or adopt their future babies, Not just dogs. But cats.. Hamsters and bunnies. Thanku again fabienne we love our Paige.

My husband and I recently adopted two wonderful kittens from Rockin’ Rescue in Woodland Hills. Named at the shelter, Mario and Luigi are four-month-old brothers; Mario is completely gray and Luigi is a striped tabby. They have delightful, friendly personalities and are exceedingly playful and curious. They also get along with our dog, having previously been fostered in a home with large canines. Rockin’ Rescue is a great rescue; the animals have adequate space to inhabit and the folks who work there truly love animals and are genuinely concerned for their welfare. In fact, I had to fill out a four-page adoption application, which indicated the importance of the animals’ well-being to the folks at the shelter. The kittens had a bit of a cold, so Fabienne, the manager at Rockin’ Rescue, made sure they were given medicine and were well before we took them home. (They were also fixed and chipped and had had their necessary shots at the time of their adoption.) I would adopt from Rockin’ Rescue again in a heartbeat; we had a wonderful experience there and I would highly recommend this rescue to responsible and loving people looking for a pet or pets to care for.

The staff of AGWC was able to help us rescue a scared and lost dog. in a tight spot. on short notice. quickly. A++++++ I love having an organization in my neighborhood that is so helpful and cares so much. I am sure it is an emotionally taxing job.

Their staff is very dedicated and professional. A special shoutout to Fabienne, who always guess the extra mile to make the animals feel comfortable.

I went by to inquire about a kitten, but was told to put an application in by email die to Covid. I did that, and the next day I called to Follow up and was told to wait for the manager contact me. No response from the manager. I sent another email a couple days later, and didn't get a response either. 2 weeks later still no response. I'm an experienced cat owner and dog owner, work from home and own my own home. I don't know what it takes to adopt from this place, but feel sorry for the animals waiting for their forever home. Very inconsiderate to not even reply.

I wanted to take a moment and write a review about this wonderful place and the great people who work and volunteer . My family and I are so grateful and appreciative to all the staff you could not ask for a more caring and accommodating group of people to be ambassadors for all the dogs and cats in their care. They treat each animal with so much Love and true affection . Everyone helped us and tried to always accommodate our needs and schedule while at the same time helping us find our newest family members . We adopted not one but two amazing and loving fur babies (Cookie and Nugget) and we are forever grateful to AGWC and everyone who gives so much for these animals in need of forever homes. If you want to help you can volunteer ,donate and or adopt ..... Its good Karma also.

This rescue helped me when a friend of the family’s dog had puppies and they didn’t know what to do. This rescue offered their help and even found homes for the 4 puppies. Other rescues offered to help only if I couldn’t find anything else, but Rockin’ Rescue agreed without hesitation and I was able to drop them off the next day.
