After having several behavioral issues with my 2 year old 90 lb American Staffordshire, I contacted Elite Dogs to see if they could help me. We just had a consultation and it was great. They opened my eyes to so much and we will be working with them on managing his behavioral issues, starting with how I communicate with my dog. I will update my reveiw after our training. Im so excited for the future me and my dog will have after this.

The drop off and pick up was safe and seamless! I watched the hand off of three excited and large dogs. Then my fur boy came out...he was calm and clean from his grooming! It was like he spent the weekend at the spa!

Elite took care of our three stooges (Belgian Malinois/Pit & 2 Husky German Shepards) while we were away. One of the stooges can be a bit mouthy and I was worried before we walked into the door but she went right on in without any issues. From that I knew we had nothing to worry about. When I picked them up all three stooges were as happy as could be and had even gotta bath! The perfect Christmas present happy, health, clean dogs! Can’t express enough how grateful we are to be able to go on vacation and have peace of mind knowing our dogs are being so well taken care of.

Brought 2 rescue pups for 3 week board and train several years ago,and I’m still reaping the benefits. Honestly the training has been a blessing! I needed training as much as they did. I would trust them with my dogs anytime!

Very accommodating, quick responses to emails and updates on how my dogs are doing. I have boarded my dogs here several times and am always pleased with their customer service.

First time taking my German Shepard who’s unpredictable and can be aggressive. I have to say everyone was super friendly and sweet, I checked in on my dog twice during the week I was gone and they were nice enough to let me know how he was doing. If I need to board my dog again I’d definitely take him back to Elite!

I've left my dog with Elite for many times over the years for vacations and have always been happy with the service. Recently, I had a medical emergency which required that I board my dog for 2 weeks. On short notice, Elite took him in and once again provided excellent care. I am so grateful and my life would've been much harder without their help. I recommend Elite for anyone looking to board their dog.

My baby was happy to arrive .... High praise! If he's comfy and happy, so are we.

Good for hard to place more difficult

I had never boarded my dog before but I was unable to take him to Disneyland so boarding was my only options since my family didn’t want to watch a big ol’ shepherd for four days. The employees all told me how good he did and how much attention he got. He even got a nail trim while he was in there so that’s something off my to do list. It was very reasonable price as well, which was a bonus. He was returned to us in perfect condition and was happy to see us but didn’t seem distraught or whatnot so obviously he had a good time. I will DEFINITELY bring him back the next time we go out of town. Thank you, Elite!!!!

I have a three-year-old (Regina) anxious, aggressive pit-husky mix who *to me* seems like the most dominant dog on the planet. She had a history of showing aggression towards people and attacking dogs by the time we started working with Elite Dogs. Courtney reassured me that they would be able to work with her and I couldn’t be happier with the progress she has made so far. We did the board and train program and we still have a long way to go but I have never felt more in tune with my dog’s motivations and behaviors. I truly never thought Regina would be able to let a stranger into our house without completely freaking out and that just happened for the first time and watching her feel relaxed and comfortable around this new person was like the proudest moment of my entire life… Also the entire staff at Elite Dogs are THE nicest most caring people—super understanding, professional, and compassionate. My dog who is uncomfortable with everyone is genuinely happy to see them which is nuts to me.

Within the first two minutes, my wife and I knew we were at the right place. My dog loves to jump on people and the female employee immediately took control. She was able to observe and explain to us why he was behaving the way he was. All this time I thought my dog looked at me as the alpha in the pack. To my surprise I learned I was considered an equal to him. Mind blowing…

These guys are so amazing. Always helping even after training. They are there 24/7 for you. I cant thank them enough for there help and teaching us as well. Pricing is perfect and 150% recommend them over and over again.

Never had any problems. They have been great. Wish they would have coupons. But, they are professional, friendly, flexible, and my German Shepherd seems to like the place, so we are quite happy with Elite.

We love this place, my doggie seems to be comfortabled with them. We are so happy we found this place for my rottweiler. Not many places would room on board my beautiful dog.

We’ve been bringing our Boxer/Pitbull mix to Elite since we moved to Sacramento from the East coast (about 3 years). Elite was the only place willing to board a reactive pup and are sooooo good with our Nico! He’s incredibly playful and loveable, but just takes some time to warm up to strangers. Elite staff know just how to work with him. It’s always hard to leave Nico when we go out of town, but we know he is in the best of care. From long weekends to nearly two week long stays, all visits have gone exceptionally well! When reaching out to Elite via email when we were out of the country during Nico’s latest visit, they responded so fast (within an hour or two) with a very detailed description of how he was doing. We are soooo very glad Elite exists! I wish more boarding companies were as knowledgeable and trained as Elite staff. I think there is a big need for more places like Elite! We will continue to trust Elite with our Nico for all future boarding needs.

I left my dogs for the first time in months for 2 weeks....the longest I have ever left them. They had no problem with me calling & checking in. I have older dogs & when I dropped them off, they handled my dogs very carefully. Will go back again.

I am a Veterianrian and have worked with Elite Dogs since 2001 when I got my first German Shepherd Dog and they were in Alameda. They have since trained 2 other Shepherds for me. I have also used them for Boarding. These people know and understand dogs. When I go away I am confident that my fur babies are in good hands. Even though I live and work in Marin County, I make the trek to West Sacramento to use them. I also have referred several of my patients to them over the years and stake my personal reputation in referring them. You cannot go wrong with Elite Dogs.

We have sent all three of our dogs to Elite's Board and Train program (three weeks each) and recently our dogs boarded for over 3 weeks with Elite. They are always well taken care of, have plenty of play time and come back bathed (small extra fee). The staff and owner are great with communication and truly love animals. Always highly recommend.

We have been going here for years. Most places aren’t able to handle multiple large breed dogs but they can and are kids always come home looking happy. They learn their repeat customers and pets and we feel very comfortable leaving our kids with them . Our dogs are our kids so it takes a lot to earn our trust and comfort!

Unfortunately I had to remove some stars and update my review. After picking up my dog from boarding here for a few days, he's been having a loose, bloody stool which I've had to clean up off my living room floor 3 times in the past 24 hours. He's gone 3 more times outside within that time period too. This happens usually when he hasn't eaten his own food. I truly don't understand what happened. I was told he was eating his food and all was well. His collar and ID were also missing when I got home.

I have an old dog with dementia and they took great care of him. When I told Adam what to expect he said that's just fine-I really like the older dogs. Went on vacation and knew he was safe.

We love Elite! Our two pups have done the board and train program, and general boarding for almost 9 years. Our pups aren’t easy, one is very fearful, the staff are loving, knowledgeable and absolute pros! Can’t recommend their training and boarding services any higher.

The results of my bully mix's board and train have been amazing. Her reactive behaviors have almost completely gone away and her confidence is sky high. Courtney is wonderful and the rest of the staff have been so kind and caring for my little girl.
