I’m sorry but I have nothing good to say about this vet. Under staffed. Very poor communication and many mistakes occurred trying to get treatment. I called today trying to get someone to listen to my dogs irregular heartbeat and they said to take him to emergency. All I wanted was to have someone listen to his heart and run an electrolyte blood test. They really are no help. They have been treating him but can’t handle anything out of the ordinary.

Geary Veterinary has been taking care of my dogs and cats for over 20 years now. They are passionate and compassionate about the animals they care for. Dr Bjork, Dr. Weiss & Dr Hamilton have all gone above and beyond to help take care of our animals. We can't thank them enough and their fabulous staff for all of the loving care.

Cheerful friendly staff and doctors. They seem very compassionate and kind, not only when giving care, but also when it comes to pricing. Very reasonable and effective covid precautions as well. When asked each person I worked if they were vaccinated they said yes and that they think the entire staff is at this point.

Excellent vet! Caring staff! Dr. Weiss has been spectacular in helping my large chocolate lab deal with a variety of medical issues like allergies, cancer and arthritis. I can not thank Geary Veterinary Hospital doctors and staff enough... highly recommended!

We brought our dog Emma for a check here several days after we rescued her from the Martinez shelter in June 2019 as Geary partners with the shelter to help newly rescued dogs. Dr Hamilton was terrific as she gave Emma a thorough exam and gave us some great advice. Today we retuned for Emma's annual check up and it was like seeing a long lost friend and Emma was on her best behavior too. Dr Hamilton and her staff always go the extra mile when dealing with Emma and we couldn't be any more pleased with the care that she receives at Geary. Thanks Dr Hamilton.

Dr. Weiss and her team are responsive to the needs of the pet and the family. They took good care of our pet and I wish we had discovered her long ago. When time came to euthanize our dog, she and her staff were so compassionate and gentle. A great veterinary hospital.

I was flabbergasted at the speed and ease of my last visit to Geary Veterinary! I pulled up and texted them, as per the sign outside, and was immediately responded to and someone was at my window in moments. My cat seemed to enjoy having a quicker than usual visit, and he was home in his safe space within 30 mins of us first leaving. Safe and clean facilities BEFORE the pandemic, even more so now! Busy. It took me a month to get an appointment for a nail trim.

Something strange happened to me at this vet hospital. I arrived at the hospital per my appointment and called from The outside in the parking lot. Staff was busy. I did not get an answer. When a staff acknowledged my presence at the curb, I did not call anymore. Due to my unfamiliarity with the procedure, I ended up waiting outside longer than necessary. When staff realized that I was not being helped, Dr. Weiss came out to greet us and offered a free examination. I just came in for a checkup for a stray sickly kitten I had found at a trail. Staff took a body X-ray, head X-ray and diagnosed the kitten free of charge. I offered to pay but was told no charge for all this work that was done. Staff was kind. Service was responsive. Treatment was humane. And, I was treated professionally. I Have never been treated so responsibly and humanly like staff and Dr. Weiss treated me. They cater about my kitten and made sure it got the attention it deserved without asking for it. It is one thing to do work and another thing to do what they thought was needed to get done. This place is not out to take advantage of pet owners. This is the most unusual, extraordinary customer service and most kind staff I have ever met. Thank you Geary Vet Hospital.

It takes time to schedule an appointment there, but it's because they are really good. Our doctor is doctor Hamilton, and we appreciate all her advice and help.

They take great care of your animals

The techs and doctors are fantastic. The service is top notch and my dog, who normally hates other people, looks forward to coming in. They don't price gouge you. It's all fair pricing, and as a vet tech myself, I know how rare that is. I wouldn't bring my animals anywhere else.

Decided to stop taking our greyhound here after a few subpar experiences at Geary in a row. The customer service at the front desk has been really cold and unhelpful (not helping us when we’re the only customer there, having us weigh our dog ourselves when we’re also carrying a baby, not showing us to our room, etc.). On our last visit, they gave us a much higher quote for his teeth cleaning than they did over the phone AS we were dropping him off. Telling us about the $150+ increase after we get there is a pretty unprofessional move. Lastly, after we expressed our disappointment in their care, they way over-shared information about us to another member of our greyhound group. The vets themselves seems pretty good, but everything else is lacking.

Best vet around. We moved to Oakley but still will make the drive for the quality of care and service we receive from Geary Veterinary.

We had Dr. Bjork take care of our pets for years, he was great, always straight forward and to the point. Now we have Dr. Hamilton and are just as happy with her. The only downside is that because Geary Vet Hospital is always so busy, it's very rare that they can actually work your pet in if she/he is injured. Expect to be referred to an Emergency Vet.
