Not only was the staff very professional timely and genuine, my otherwise anxious and nervous dog who has separation anxiety surprisingly didn't make a peep when I left and was all smiles when I returned with a great report from the staff. Would recommend to any friend and will definitely do again

The only place I'll take my old evil nasty poodle to get less ugly. They are extremely kind to him, even though he doesn't deserve it.

I moved to the bay area going on 5 years ago. I brought my Yorkie here and was very happy with the service that was provided. They treated my baby like one of their own. The price is very fair and everyone is friendly. I wouldn't take my lil Jinx to anyone else!

I NEVER write reviews, but felt I had to.... I do not recommend taking your dog here. First off, TERRIBLE customer service, I can see why they work with dogs and not humans. I can overlook that and let it go if they do a good job. Second, I have a Samoyed which is a difficult breed for groomers because their hair mats easily and they are loud and can nip if they get very irritated. We anticipated being charged more than normal due to this. They quoted me $200 (cash only) after they received him and gave him a look over. I agreed over the phone. The groomer let me know that he was done for the day and needed to have him for another hour the next day to finish. I went to pick him up and without bringing him out they asked me to pay $125 of this, which I did and gave a generous $25 tip for her troubled because he is a tougher breed. She brought him out and then they informed me that THEY SHAVED HIS STOMACH. They made no outreach to ask if shaving him was okay, which I would have responded NO as double coat Samoyed's fur doesn't grow back correctly if shaved..... I let it go and didn't make a big deal of it.... its done and they already have my $125 and $25 Tip. She asks if they can have him back for an hour tomorrow, I agree. I drop him off the next day. She lets me know that he is done an hour later and that its now $150 for the remainder($275 total now not including tip). I tell them that number is egregiously higher than the $200 we agreed on earlier (their normal base grooming rate is $65 by the way) and with Tip, I am at $300 for this grooming. They begin to berate me for being a terrible owner (I'm not a terrible owner) and a bad person for not paying the additional $75 for his grooming that was not agreed upon. I paid them the remaining balance to get to $200 (and $10 extra because I felt bad) and told them I wasn't coming back. I then get home to find giant holes in his fur where they ripped out his fur, bruise marks on his nose from the muzzle they used, and again the GIANT shaved stomach. He even was skittish when he got home and ran when we tried to pet him for the first hour home. I was only able to take these pictures because I coaxed him over with a brand new bone......

Really loved this place. You can tell the employees and owner are invested in the health and wellbeing of the animals. For example, I brought my Bluenose in to be groomed and found the owner grooming a dog who had massive mats everywhere and hadn’t been groomed in 7 months...normally you have to bring a dog like that to the vet and pay upwards of $1000, but the owner saw a dog in pain that needed help and took care of him anyway. The owner was so compassionate toward this dog as she worked to make him more comfortable. He had embedded foxtails and everything! As for my dog, she seemed to love the groomers. They were so sweet and loving toward her. They were also really great with communicating with me about how she did with the nail clippers, etc. Will definitely be back!

Tracey did a wonderful job grooming my Persian cat and kindly she showed my the best tools and how to use them.

Other place wouldn’t take my large hard to handle dog. They were happy to take him and worked with him so nicely. Couldn’t say better!

Micky loves his spa days at Four Paws Grooming. Shannon takes such good care of him. He comes home happy, clean and grateful. They take care of his toes, mats and gorgeous long hair. They are really caring and loving with their clients and fur babies. Micky is always happy to see Shannon and loves the hands on attention and care. Thank You Shannon and Four Paws Grooming.

Our puppy has been going to Four paws for 6 years and we are always happy with the results. Most importantly our girl is always happy! The groomers really do take Interest in the pups and treat them each like their own. I highly recommend giving this shop a chance! Parking isn’t amazing but there are enough spots to get the job done.

All the ladies there are the BEST! They treat my dog as if it were their own fur baby. And, they always do a phenomenal job grooming Gizmo!

Absolutely love this place and most importantly so do both of my dogs! They are loving and gentle to the pets they spend time with them. Every time we pick up our dogs they have funny little stories to tell us about their time with them. We usually drop them off in the morning and they are done in the afternoon. They are also happy and calm when we pick them up. We have tried several local groomers and our dogs really like this place! Great staff too! So happy we found them!!

My Cat "Sir Crosby" is a Maine Coon with long fur that can get matted easily, and it did! What a nightmare, I was concerned that he might have to get shaved. Four Paws was the only groomer in Walnut Creek that could give us an appointment. Shannon did a wonderful job and was able to brush out all the mats, she bathed and blow dried him. She said, he was welcome back anytime and how easy he was too groom. "My Cat?" "Not Crosby." Shannon obviously handled him very well. They may have even bonded a little, he wanted to sit on her lap the whole time. Well I'm very pleased and will ask for Shannon when I use Four Paws in the future.

I have been going for about 10 years. I really don't know why. They are really rude. They take my dog in the morning and keep her until 6:00pm every time. When I call to pick my dog up they all ways say be patience, I will call you when she is ready. Today is the last time we put up with this poor service. When we picked up my dog today, her hair was disproportionately cut. Part of one ear was trimmed with several different lengths. When we asked the owner why it took so long, she told us that she does not give a dam if we have to wait. Zero customer service and awful parking. We are done. Don't go to this groomer they are the worst. We are done no more

Came in to get my puppies talons clipped. Cause I'm too afraid to do it myself. They accept cash only but it wasn't a problem. I ran across the street to an atm and left my puppy there with them and when I got back she was all clipped and filed. Was seriously the quickest I've ever experienced. And they handled her so well. She came out super happy and I didn't need to worry about her cutting me when she gives me love. Thank you Four Paws. :) Nail clipping was 20$ well worth it.

I took my 15 year old grouchy cat in to have his claws trimmed. They were so fast my cat didnt even pee himself. Very happy with our first visit.

Fantastic groomer! I have been bringing my dog here for a year or two and he loves it here. He used to be fearful with other groomers. The staff loves up the animals and treat them with a great deal of caring. My dog also has a challenging coat and they do an amazing job, consistently. So much so, that I am still bringing him in even after a move to Mill Valley! A groomer in my building highly recommends Four Paws, as well.
