Wait times atrocious, lack concern that people are on schedules and paying their money for a service.

Good Sam has cared for our dog for 9 years, including some serious medical issues and major surgery after our dog was attacked. They’re amazing, and caring. They’re also super flexible. Have used other bets over the years beforehand, and have used VCA for specialty care. Good Sam is the best.

I called and was put on hold for some time. And when the receptionist got back to me, I asked for a certain service of which she had no idea and then it occurs to the receptionist to ask me if I had been there before . I told her “no” and then she tells me “we’re not taking new clients”. So, may I suggest that maybe it’s best to ask the person on the phone first thing before wasting anyone’s time.

They were good until this afternoon we had a dog dislocated his front right shoulder at a park. they were the closest vet to us and they wouldn't even look at him.dog was in pain and it's unfortunate that they wouldn't at least render some sort of aid did this dog. I have brought my dogs for years and years and years but today was disappointing.we weren't asking to move to the front of the line just for our regular vet to take care of our dog that they've seen numerous times before. You can't make an appointment for injuries such as this. What has ever happned to caring for the well being of the dog or the people or everybody who goes through this. The search is now on to find somewhere else to take all my dogs.very disappointed thinking these people cared about our dogs, when they don't.

Called to get appt for new pet, and they said three weeks is the soonest appt!! What!!! Honestly if you get a new pet you want a vet who is available more quickly! They might be great if your a returning customer but i have my suspicions! I want a vet who appreciates new customers, im not sure they do!

I never had an issue with Good Samaritan until Dr. Leeking suggested that my dog start taking NexGard because of increased tick cases in San Leandro at my dogs annual exam. About a week later my dog became violently ill. She broke out in hives, left eye swelled, vomiting, fever and shaking. I took her to the emergency and they ran tests on her, blood work, ultrasound, x-rays and tested for cancer and $1800 later they couldn’t find anything wrong her. I thought she may of ate something off the ground but with some research I figured out NexGard was the culprit. The only thing different I did was give my dog NexGard. I spoke with Dr. Leeking on the phone to let her know that my dog had a bad reaction to NexGard and she denied it, of course to cover her rear end. I told her I did some online research and other dog owners complained about the same exact symptoms after taking NexGard. I would hate for this to happen to anyone else. This incident has been very painful for our family not knowing if our dog was going to make it. She is still not 100% but I’m just happy that she is getting a little better each day. I’m never taking my dogs back there and will be looking for a new vet. Dr. Leeking had enough nerves to charge me $160 for my dogs follow up visit after the emergency when it was partly her fault that my dog is ill. Don’t give your dog NexGard until you do the research first.

After my cat had a seizure in 2019 and was seen at a local pet hospital, Good Samaritan was the only vet clinic that would be able to help her with the medication needed. They were so wonderful and kind to my geriatric kitty—even when she was a feisty old thing! A few weeks ago, Sophie was having more and more challenges and it was heartbreaking, but it was her time. They fit us in a few days later so we could spend a bit more time with her. My heart was broken to lose my sweetie after she had been with us for 18 1/2 years. Dr. Eckloft explained everything to me gently and what to expect. I was able to be with Sophie as she crossed the Rainbow Bridge. Today, I went to pick her ashes up. Again, the staff was amazing and understanding. To my surprise, Sophie was in a beautifully carved box with her name engraved on a gold plate. It got me crying again. I miss her so. I can’t say enough about how wonderful the entire staff was to me and Sophie. Thank you for your care!

Had my girls spayed here this month. Staff and process was easy, vet checked the dogs before surgery, and everyone was nice. Printed forms at home before going in for appointments. Would recommend them.

We just got a puppy, and found this clinic through recommendations on Next Door. We weren’t sure what a vet visit would look like during the pandemic, but we couldn’t put off going to the vet. To our pleasant surprise, Good Samaritan Veterinary Hospital has a great process! For those wondering, this was our experience as a new customer with a puppy getting his shots: we pulled into the parking lot to a numbered spot, and called in to the clinic. From there, we checked in, answered some questions over the phone, and a staff member brought out some paper work to complete. Once done, a staff member picked up our pet. After the initial examination, the vet, Dr. Leeking, gave us a call to let us know everything we needed to know about the examination. She also happily answered all the questions we had concerning our puppy. Through this whole process, we did not have to take a step out of the car. Even though it was from afar, Good Samaritan Veterinary Clinic managed to make the process feel personal, and we couldn’t imagine better service given these unusual times. I look forward to seeing how this clinic operates once the pandemic is over. P.S. they also have a really great puppy package!

Given these troubled times and strictly regulated corona measures, good samaritan vet clinic has adjusted very swiftly for it's clients safety and their clients owners. Lol thx Good Samaritan.

I been coming here for a while and I got helped by dr. Kuen and she’s was very rude the first time she’s was yelling at my thru phone. Like excuse I come here n pay it’s not free service. The second stime she called me a lair and very rude as well. I feel like she just being racial against me n my dog she complaints about everything I go to other vets and they say my good it’s a perfect tea cup Yorki. But she’s just acts like she hates us.

Knowledgeable, professional and kind. Wish I had brought my last dog here instead of Redwood Veterinary Hospital who killed him.
