We are over the moon happy with Dr Terry and her staff! We took our silver lab pup there because he was having severe skin issues. He had already been placed on many treatments including steroids to treat it and we were really at our wits end. Dr. Terry prescribed a comprehensive treatment plan for our pup that did NOT include steroids (YAY!) and after completing the plan, our pup is now 100% clear of his skin issues! Our pup is a little anxious at the vets because of all his vet visits, and Dr Terry and her staff really showed alot of patience with him. I cannot say how much this has meant to us! We've been dealing with his skin issues for about 8 months and to have him finally free of it is such a relief, for our pup and us! If I could give them 1,000 stars I would!!!! Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!!

They are THEE place to go for dermatological needs for your pet, but trying to get the Dr to return an email or phone call regarding the care of your beloved pet is truly frustrating and awful. Is it really that hard?

A very warm and welcoming team headed by Dr. Wendy Terry. We came to Dr. Terry after waiting 3 months as we coped as best we could with the help of our beloved vet with Carina's (our dog) acute skin condition. Although Dr. Terry was honestly not able to provide us with a diagnosis (as yet) her caring, thorough, spirited scientific approach resulted in providing Carina with immediate relief. Dr. Terry also answered all our questions fully to our satisfaction. Not to mention caring , immediate, curious, and competent follow up. thank you so much Dr Terry and your team. We are very grateful. Carina before treatment. Now no need for the "blue tube" Thanks Dr. Terry!

My angel Ladybird is having to deal with a mass in her left ear. I very worried for here. The staff and Vet were very passionate and understanding. I suffer from MS and Lady is not only my pet she is my caregiver helper. Basically my emotional support dog. I know she is in good hands!

Dermatology for Animals in both Oakland and Walnut Creek have been incredible. Dr. Hudec saved my Cairn Terrier. She had just turned 14 when diagnosed and almost died with an autoimmune disease. She will be 15 soon and is going strong!!! They are amazing!!

Dr Rose Miller is amazing! Our Cavalier King Charles, Charlie had been suffering tremendously for quite some time with severe sores all over his little body! We had taken him to several Vets who prescribed pill after pill, but he only got worse! He was not only in extreme pain, but had constant itching and was very lethargic. Dr Miller took the time to gently examine him, took scrapings and cultures to determine the exact cause of his illness and explained everything to me thoroughly. She prescribed medicine that has not only worked, but has done wonders for Charlie!! Today he is healthy, happy and energetic since he has been under her care. Thank you so much Dr Rose Miller for your care, concern and knowledge that has been instrumental in our sweet boy being healthy again!!

They almost killed my dog. Doctor Stacy Holz has moved to Sage Emergency. I fully disclosed that he had auto-immune mediated disease. She diagnosis him a pitutary dwarf with some other issues and then still gave him an auto-immune suppressant...He end up with ecoli in his gaul bladder due to is already compromise immune system being suppressed. Yah, he had hair again, but I had an almost dead dog. $7K later....and that didn't include the two years of drugs to follow, he is still with me. I don't trust them or Dr. Holz. They wouldn't do anything to remediate the situation or her lack of care. For full disclosure this did happen about two years ago, but I am still angry, as my dog was just taken off of the antibiotics to keep the ecoli suppress.

Before seeing Dr Carine Laporte a little over a year ago Fireball now looks and feels like a eight year old instead of the thirteen years old his is! Thanks to the wonderful team in Walnut Creek.

The staff was extremely friendly and Efficient. The Doctor arrived well prepared having already read the dog's files and had been already been forming a preliminary plan of action. The office and exam room were spotless and organized. The Doctor and assistant personnel were very competent and helpful My dog had been suffering for quite some time with a serious skin sore that other vets had not been able to help with. The doctor prescribed a drug regimen and a home care routine that we followed carefully and the sore that I thought would never go away is completely healed as if it were never there. I would make this office my first and only stop next time. Excellent Results and Highly Recommended!

If your dog has skin issues or has not responded well to prior treatment I would highly recommend Dermatology for Animals. They are thorough, give detailed explanations and will work with you to find effective treatment. As with most specialist, they are likely to be more expensive than your regular vet but the rewards will be worth it.

Our wonderful Maine Coon cat, Buddy had been suffering with an ear infection for 5 months and skin condition when our vet said to try a dermatologist. Dr. Laporte at Dermatology for Animals was the best. A wonderful cat-side manner and just the right treatment to cure poor Buddy. He then moved to a prescription diet of rabbit meat and is doing much better. The hair on his bald spot started growing back within 2 weeks on the new diet. And we thought indoor cats wouldn't get sick. They do. I would totally recommend Dr. Laporte.
