My cat was dying in my arms. The assistant was trying her hardest to be compassionate and helpful but the vet himself only saw dollar signs. When we said we didn't know if we could afford the treatment he said we would never be welcome at his practice again.

Absolutely the best staff. They actually care about the animals not their bottom line.

My cat Theodora lost two toes on Christmas Day they seen us right away it was rather expensive I spent $1,500 but was able to pay some now and some later which helped me a lot. Went back 10 months later because another one of my cats had an infection they were able to do another pay some now and some later on again so I will continue to go here for my pet emergencies. If you're looking to get your pet fixed or neutered you're more likely to spend less money at well pet vet in Pittsburg California I was quoted almost $500 at Apollo but paid 120 at well pet vet. So for things like spay and neuter and vaccines I will go to well pet vet in Pittsburg but for all animal emergencies I will continue to come here.

This is by far THE WORST experience we had at the vet clinic. We have been dog owners all our lives. This place doesn’t care about your pets. I can’t speak for all doctors there but the one I met only cares about dollar signs. They start with charging $59 upfront. We came in on emergency with our dog and brought a list of medications that she had been.on for the past two weeks. Our regular vet clinic was already closed. The doctor didn’t look or touch the dog. Instead the first thing he wanted to know if she had an ex-ray. He didn’t allow me to tell him what’s wrong with her or show him the list of medications. When I asked to allow me to explain what is wrong with her and show him medications list he said he doesn’t need to see it or hear it. He wants to know if she had an exray. I asked to explain why are we starting the conversation with that. Instead of explaining he said he will not treat my dog. I am telling the truth in deep shock we left and went to VCA. My advice, if you care about your per NEVER EVER go to APPOLO. The only thing they care about is your pocket not your pet.

If based off of one vet, I would give 5 stars. They took care of my dog and saw her immediately when everyone else said it wasn't an emergency...it was it turns out. This only real issue is trying to get a hold of records is like pulling teeth and one of the vets isn't reliable. They are open from 7am - 12am so it's great for late night emergencies as well. Way better than Montecito for sure!!

Office staff and nurses were wonderful. However, the vet who actually euthanized my dog was cold and made rude comments. After my dog was gone he stated "What a waste!" He had no idea what led up to this decision or just how extremely hard it was on me. Even though I was sobbing like I had just lost my child he still made rude remarks! I can't see giving more than 3 stars because of him!!

Scheduled an appointment and everything and they kept us waiting almost an hour for the vet to even see my cat. Don’t come here. TERRIBLE SERVICE, literally just walked out right now.

Experience has been good so far. Getting appointments is pretty easy and the staff is helpful. They also welcome walk-ins.

I could write a novel on the poor experiences over the course of a year. To be clear, this is after working with this vet for a year. It is not a one off, but rather an average of 5-10 different occasions. I will never go back here. Here's a summary of why: 1. Little respect for your time. I've frequently been rescheduled on the night before, the morning of, and while driving to an appointment. Once all three!! Once there, without fail I have always had to wait 30 min - 1 hour before they would see me for an appointment I made in well in advance. 2. Low standard of care and professionalism. With almost zero physical examination (e.g. flipping over my dog's ears but not bothering to look at her inner ear or anything else), I've had medication and $200/month allergy shots pushed on me. When we went through vaccines, they repeatedly tried to give my dog shots of which she had already had all the necessary boosters. I had to bring my records and remind them what first rounds and boosters THEY had administered previously, on what dates, and that per their own guidelines we didn't need them again. Mind you these shots are all about 20-40 bucks a pop. 3. Zero followup. We have paid for labs while our dog was very actively ill. We were told the vet would call us. CRICKETS. For nearly a week. We kept calling back and were told the vet would call. MORE CRICKETS. When we finally got the vet on a call, they were brusque as if we were waisting their time and hung up on us. We also discovered that... 4. ...We paid for medication and only got half. They didn't count the pills we were given. When we complained, they still didn't count the pills and again gave us an incorrect count. Counting medication in a prescription is beyond basic in terms of professionalism. Overall, every time I walk into this place, it feels like a battle where they're trying to get as much money out of you as they possibly can with little consideration or care for what's actually wrong with your pet. If you don't educate yourself before hand, they will take you for a vicious financial ride. I would not recommend this vet.

Please for the safety of your pets do not go here. Read the negative reviews on Yelp. Let’s just say starting surgery on the wrong paw for my pup was only the beginning of our nightmare. A tiny sore on his toe turned into 2 hours of sedation. I was on the floor crying with my pup in my lap because I thought he might die. All they did was yell at me to pay. I refused until I was sure my pup was ok. The vet said it didn’t work that way they had other things to do. Because I refused to pay all the up charges they withheld meds and told me to take my dog and not come back. Please keep your pets away…

DO NOT come here unless you have no other options!!! The wait was extremely long (maybe only one vet was working) but the disappointing thing was the follow-up. We took our animal in on Sunday for x-ray and blood work and was told by the vet we will be followed up with the results by Tuesday…***crickets***…we have to call only to be told multiple times (not the receptionist’s fault) we will get a call back from the vet. By Thursday NIGHT, we were able to get a hold of the vet for the results. We were left anxious for days! If your animal needs emergency services and you’d like timely follow up, don’t come to this place.

When no other vet clinic would see me in an emergency between American Canyon Vallejo or Benicia, Apollo Vet came to my rescue and say my cat

The vet was ok but if you have insurance in your animal, and intend to use it do not go there you’ll never get the records for the insurance claim.

From my experience, they have answered one out of maybe a dozen calls in the last few MONTHS. They kept me in their waiting room for over an hour while the ONE veterinarian they had on staff was chatting with a customer (yes, NOT working with animals- just chatting). My sister has also gone here. She's disabled (so she needs her caregiver- which is me), but insists on going with her animals (otherwise she's under intense emotional distress). I was not allowed to go with her until she was having a full meltdown and the staff was belittling her. They proceeded with treatment for my animal (without asking) when she was suffering and needed to be put down. For the entire experience, I was charged about $600 and was talked down to by the vet, who disregarded my questions. The only thing that made this experience not absolutely terrible was that the receptionist was kind and welcoming toward me. Thanks, receptionist!

Prompt appointment, excellent care of my friends dog. Dr Mangat and Dr Kevin are fabulous I haven't been in since 2016..but they have NOT raised their fees. I have worked at other clinics and all have a basic appt fee averaging $75-80...Apollo has kept the basic fee of $49.00. Sure there are charge added on for additional services, but its no different than any other vet.. We paid $25 for a rabies vaccine, that is the same price as Ive paid at a vaccine for clinic. Most private practices charge $35 for the vaccine.

I went there to pick up a refill written prescription that I was told would be ready for me by Dr Amin, who I do like, but he wasn't there. Dr Kevin was, he wrote out his own prescription for my dog for his arthritis but it was only for 7 days. When I questioned this he got upset with me and brought up what happened two years ago when I went to Apollo with the same dog for bladder stones and when he would not give me a written estimate for the surgery he needed I went someplace that did. He then told me if I want more pills I would have to come back to get checked again and have blood work done. Basically he just wants more money. That is also why I wasn't able to get a written estimate 2 years ago, I did get a verbal estimate by Dr Gill and then a higher amount by Dr Kevin, imo, he wanted to charge more for the surgery after it was done. Dr Kevin is greedy and disrespectful. It really made no sense to me since the medication my dog needs is a life long medication.

I am changing my review after 5 years.... It is a very bad place to take your pets. They only care about the money. Although office visits are cheaper than other places, they will find ways to increase the price you pay. They do services …

Dr gill is cool. Dr Kevin knows his job but he is trying to rip people off and he thinks he's better than everybody else. Go to Well Pet.

Avoid going here, staff insensitive. They know there stuff but are all logic and no feels. Had to put my boy down, and I could hear the staff laughing, even over heard them hollaring "cry baby" another staff member had to go over and shut them up. I wish I would of listen to the other reviews, hella sad my boy had to die here with these people around. I've been in the back, I've seen how they man handle your pets.

Very efficient, same day appointment and immediately seen by Dr. Gill who was very understanding & professional and even worked with me to bring the cost of the procedures down over $100. Had my dog back within 2 hours of dropping her off. Very grateful- thank you ????
