Honestly, I brought my cat back home as miserable and uncomfortable as when I dropped him. And THAT was my biggest problem. No RELIEF for him. I was also suggested an ultra sound: extremely costly and perhaps avoidable. I got him seem by a vet outside of Banfield, it turns out it was acute pancreatitis. Something checked thru bloodwork. I asked for the xrays which were taken at Banfield Dublin East, in the Pet Smart. I was told they may not be available, yet. Then, was told they had been put on a disk for me to pick up. It was 11AM. The new vet, outside of Banfield, had given me, miraculously an appt at 1PM, 2 hrs later. I said I would not be able to make it. That is when the front person, Theresa, turned on me, and said she was trying to help me, and being accusatory. It is on tape. I kindly replied my cat was my priority. Not the xrays. She softened up and called me back with a truly different tone, saying she sent the xrays to the ER. That got my attention, I assumed however since this had been an urgent situation from the get go, that she had sent them to the vet I had mentioned by name and address, ( it is on tape ). But no, the vet never received it. So they went to who knows which ER. The other vet made my cat feel better immediately, although she had to take new xrays. So, no, I am getting tired of Banfield really. I don't even feel the vet was that enlightened. The only good things was they were able to see me the day after I called 8 or 9 different Banfields, starting with mine, in my area, and where I was sold the plan for my dog BooBoo. But, they can never see us. They are awful. The vets there are great though. It is every body else before you get to the vets. The location is El Cerrito. So to get back to my experience with this Banfield on Sunday the 9th, $400.00 later, with no relief for the cat and the same expense having to be repeated elsewhere, ( xrays), why should I be happy? My cat was miserable still and possibly dying. It looked that bad. The only Banfield I am still pleased with at this point is the one in Walnut Creek CA. The vet techs, the front desk people are more relatable, kind of like at the office of a smaller one of a kind hospital, like the vet I saw after. Everywhere else it seems, the Banfield people forget why they are truly there. I am staying for BooBoo who is turning 15 soon. After that, goodbye Banfield. I am finding a health insurance for my remaining pets. They are young, and I know there are decent insurances out there. As it is I am paying $63.00 a month for aggravation mostly. I had put another pet on a Banfield plan:, a one year old. She disappeared in May 2018. Banfield would not let me cancel and I paid monthly till the end of the year for a cat that never returned. It will be 4 years this year. So to put it bluntly Banfield is leaving an increasingly bad taste in my mouth. And my cat Gizmo as well. 4 days after his urgent visit to Banfield, he is now going great, no thanks to Banfield and no ultrasound needed.

Vet was awesome but the crowd was big. Long wait times and a very tight squeeze for a wheelchair user.

I strongly believe they treated my cat wrong and caused his death. I am very disappointed in them. They only know how to charge you! I wouldn’t recommend that place to anyone!! If you love and care about your pet (I believe you do) don’t take them there.

They reschedule you without your consent or knowledge . A staff member called me saying they want reschedule me to 3 pm. I said let me check my schedule and I will call back. When I called in to reschedule as told,another member said nothing should be changed and sorry for the confusion,please come in at 5 as promised. I arrived at 5 pm, I was told I suppose to be here at 3 pm and I was so late. Try triple check your schedule. But great nurses and doctors!

Very efficient and kind staff. I’ve never had any issues with scheduling or getting information, however, I always feel as if I have to prove that my cat is sick. She’s been scratching her fur and skin off for weeks, leaving her sleeping nook a bloody mess, and the vet said she couldn’t even find a scab- which seems a little strange as there’s five big ones around her neck. They’re all very sweet people, but I’m just tired of having to justify why my animal is there, and not getting the proper treatment she needs. We can’t afford to go to multiple vets to see what’s wrong.

I doubted my 4 month old puppy has skin issue and he had ear infection. I usually go to the Pinole Banfield but the situation is kind of getting worse so I called several Banfield locations looking for earlier appointment for my puppy. Unlike other locations just say NO to me, this one did ask me to wait and checked for me, so I could get my puppy visit the vet today. The staffs are very nice here asking for all the details of my puppy even though it was curbside pickup during the pandemic. I was also happy about their professional and responsible for all the details and instruction for my puppy. I would love to come here more rather than the Pinole Banfield, unfortunately I live in Richmond. Thank you all and especially Dr. Wong.

I had it with them! You ask for the doctor to check something, they don't check. You have your pet so some lab work, and they never call you back, you always have to keep chasing them to get the info for your pet. They seem only concerned in selling you their wellness plan and booking your pet for expensive procedures. They had lab work for my sick cat for 2 weeks and didn't tell me! Not a phone call, nothing! Run away from this place, they are not concerned with the well being of your pet.

No nonsense here. All the staff check with each other if they weren't sure about something, and did not misrepresent any aspects of the insurance plan I purchased on this visit. They were understanding when I was concerned about prices, and gave me enough space to consider finances. I would come here again in the future, even though it isn't the closest Banfield. I'm impressed by the staff for being both expert and compassionate in their dealings.

Me and my dog love Banfield. The staff there is awesome, the hours are the best. They are even open on Sundays. They call you and talk to you about everything before doing any procedure making sure you understand everything so you can make an informed decision about what you want done and don't want done and what you can afford and what you can't.

We are huge fans of this location. We have 2 dogs and a cat who didn't receive regular vet care except for vaccinations at Pet Food Express and the occasional emergency visit. Veterinary care is just so expensive and unless something is REALLY wrong, we tried to avoid seeking treatment. That all changed when we found out about Banfield and their wellness plan. It's so much more affordable for us to pay a monthly fee and have the convenience of visiting whenever we need it. Also, the staff have been GREAT with our pets. The vet always explains the situation honestly yet kindly. They go to great lengths to see our pets when they're in pain, and helped us find another facility if they weren't able to squeeze us in. (i.e. Calling EVERYONE on their appointment list to confirm their slots and see if anyone was planning to cancel.) HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

Love the place, the atmosphere, and the people... They care very much for your pet ( as if their own) Wich helped give me some relief when finding out what was wrong with my one cat trouble) ... I have 5 cats and things can get confusing and costly quick, I love how Not having "surprise charges" minimize the stress and worry factor of how to come up with so much to try and help my pet. I always recommend banfield and how wonderful it has been since finding them as my tribes vet, thank you you banfield!

I feel very good about bringing my dog to this vet. I have recommended them so many times. They have a great wellness plan that cover so many of the routine vet care services and that really helps keep my out of pocket cost in control.

Took my cat there she was vomiting and hadn’t eaten for three days but they wouldn’t do anything to help her because we couldn’t pay the whole amount up front over a thousand dollars for blood work and an X-ray and didn’t matter that she was suffering no money too damn bad.

Very helpful staff! Caring Dr's. Dr Sharif consoled me for 30 minutes when my dog died. Dr. Schwartzwalder is upbeat, friendly, clear, very compassionate, competent!

Great doctor and customer care. Though my bill was 800+ that gave me a discount including there pet plan to finish her shots for the year and they would be free! So in all I only paid 600 and saved about 400 because her shots and visits were free for a year. I haven't been to any other clinic since being with them. Thank you.
