My experience with Caldwell pet hospital, i believe I've been there since 2012 or 2013 never had no problems with the staff but they are always rushing in a hurry and that can make things complicated for the customers always put me on hold until it goes to a voicemail after holding for 20 minutes I did that three times concurrently it gets frustrating but overall they're great staff...

amazing place the generosity and compassion is unmatched they saved our husky after a long emotional and financial battle dealing with parvo all oir options were exhausted and they came to the rescue with a plan that we could afford and that was practical. highly recommend them

Decent place to go too, the price is in the average whatsoever decent staff. Just that everytime I called I get put on hold by a female staff forever than I just got forgotten or something and it takes me to voice message. It's not the first time but it's got quite annoying I guess you guys don't want me business, I'll take it somewhere else. Plus that yearly shot that they gonna charge me 60-120 bucks rabies/boratellia bs if you're reading this s.p.c.a has a better deal, your welcome.

This vet was not good. My dog was in a ton of pain from hip dysplasia and when I dropped her off I was not allowed in(common enough with covid) told me that they had a safer alternative to the medication she was currently on and failed to mention the medication was a downgrade in strength from the carprofen she was currently on. Then when that wasn't working told me I needed another medication to go with it. Did not tell me that medication took up to a month to take effect and then when I called a couple days later told me I needed yet ANOTHER medication, and that if that one didn't work I would have to start her on opiods. Then when I called about possible euthenization I was told I was able to be present, then when I went to schedule it I was told I would not be able to be there with her as she passed. This veterinarian office seemed only to care about getting as many scripts out the door as possible. I will never go here again. I made the mistake twice and will never make it again.

$350 for a (small dog) spay plus fees and estimates “Total estimate charges... $822.00”, this information was given after the small $25 checkup. I found a better place shortly after (in Selma). I called to cancel but was placed on a “brief” 10+ minute hold that ended at their voicemail box. I understand they need to make a profit, but that approx. estimate is way too much for an 8 pound dog.

My family vet was booked and it was urgent. They got me in quickly and the vet was very nice but due to covid we couldn't go into the office at all, they picked my kitty up at the door. They were about double the cost of my normal vet and tried to order over $1k worth of tests. I appreciated them seeing my baby soon but took him to my normal vet for follow up.

Very friendly and helpful staff. They weren't able to do what I needed (crown), but were very helpful in helping me find what I needed and who could provide it. Curbside pickup went smoothly, and the Doctor was very pleasant and knowledgeable.

Turned away and Refused to help a puppy sick with parvo due to disagreement.. I kept finding inconsistencies in everything they were saying and it all started a few days ago at night when speaking to a man who im quite positive was the actual Veterinarian by his voice... When telling him about the symptoms we were experiencing he just didnt seem alarmed at all although we were and now after seeing a long time vet in our original city Fresno (shout out to Abby Pet Hospital 5star service and communication) was it confirmed our puppy tested positive for parvo and is under treatment. Its upsetting because it was lost in translation to this man we spoke with after we said we had a puppy package (which we were told allows us to go in for visits anytime we have a concern without charge) we spoke that we'd be coming the following morning for stool and checkup to be safe it wasnt more serious than an upset stomach and the next day they wanted to charge us told us we dont have an appt until Monday, which is probably why an appointment wasnt scheduled sooner because in their head we already had one coming up BUT AS WE ALL KNOW UNIVERSALLY THAT PARVO MOVES FAST.. so Monday wouldnt be soon enough. Im sick myself and have to get the strength to talk to them because im confused why an appointment wasnt set and now from what they told my husband (they suspect parvo since symptoms were progressing) would they want us to wait until Monday to test if parvo is serious??! And they couldnt give me a straight answer and wanted to charge me for an emergency visit since they lacked scheduling an appointment and they made it as if it was about paying a measly what I think 51 visit which I could care less it was more the principal and that everything they would say was a contradiction and my trust was lost. The vet couldnt handle that and didnt want my business although we already purchased a package care, he denied it and said he doesnt owe us anything which is whatever keep it because I believe you get what you give which is unfortunate but a lesson you'll have to learn. Back to what occurred my husband reasoned with me that we already purchased a package and we just need a quick test that takes 10 mins to confirm parvo since no vet in Visalia is taking patients due to covid and they are the only unfortunate option so I said fine just the test and he called and told them, can he still go in ( although his wife, myself was not wanting) and they said yes come over. He did and he waited and waited and they took card for payment but ended up denying Alltogether even though he called to make sure... The vet is a coward and even worse for denying a puppy on its deathbed, an animal he suppose to help as a Vet, all because he couldnt handle tension that ill admit I had but because I was scared for my girl and wanted her to be in good hands, with those that are true to what theyre saying...again the lack of urgency couldnt ease my mind and continuing to pay them bothered me even more not the AMOUNT. With all this being said , guys beware of what they sell you and what you think youre getting, and if you think you puppy is off trust yourself and dont wait a whole weekend even if an animal specialist acts nonchalant about the whole situation alongside multiple I think receptionists and assistants we spoke with. If Youre looking for a quality veterinarian then look no further but to ABBYS PET HOSPITAL IN FRESNO CA ON CEDAR!!! Yes there is a drive about an hour but it could be the difference that saves your pets life!! yea they are pricier in comparison to caldwells BUT YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR and this is a lesson learned although for us we went to them because of the drive not money we shouldve stayed true to Abbys who seen our girl cost us a total of 500 but I felt that they were adequate and knew what they were doing and immediately said bring her in not an "oh you got appt Monday we can test for parvo then" answer... And I called a lot of vets yesterday who also had that immediate response (but covid issue) so not sure what caldwells problem is???? ????????????

Caldwell pet hospital is so unprofessional I gave them a call for a walk in and they said they'll take my number if they get any cancellations they put my baby in that day,I also made an appointment for the next day if I couldn't go in that day. It's been 2 months and still within for either cancellation or appointment.i decided to take my baby to courtyard veterinary clinic on akers and they toke my baby in that same day thanks so much caldwell pet hospital for nothing I'm glad I went elsewhere. they are my new veterinary clinic !

Been here plenty of times before and have always paid $39 for an office visit. Went in today for a check-up and shots for my dog. They tried to charge me $65 for an office visit that I always pay $39 for. I even spoke to the receptionist on the phone the day prior to my appointment and confirmed the price was $39. How did it jump from $39 to $65 in one day?! No way.. That's absolutely ridiculous and I'll find a new vet since that's the case. Smh.
