Aloha has been the best dog groomer in Ventura for years and for a good reason. The staff is what makes them great. Super nice always and the groomers are top notch. Also very reasonable fees. Give them a try and you won't be disappointed - just make sure to book ahead because they're really busy for the reasons above.

Took my dog without an appointment. Great price and service.

Parking is an issue because this place is very busy. They handled my Husky. She needed a bath and they called me advising me of her status, which I appreciated. She looked beautiful and ready to go home. What I found inside was an array of farm animals: chickens, cats, dogs and hoomans. I found this to be unusual and fun. The staff was excellent.

My dog has a collapsing trachea, so I'm always nervous bringing him to a new groomer, but i decided to give them a try. They were very attentive to my concerns and took great care of him. He came out looking and smelling great. I even forgot to bring the payment and they let me bring him with me while I ran to the bank

They are like Dr Doolittle. There are animals everywhere and they're so happy. My dog loves going there. The price is reasonable and he always looks gorgeous when I pick him up.

Our dogs have been coming here for about a couple years now and we have mixed experiences but the bad experiences are too frequent now. I would say about half the time our dogs get groomed the way we ask. I have always asked for face trimming and over numerous visits ever had it done ONCE. We are often quoted times of four hours however our dogs will be there for over 7 hours, and NEVER have they been taken out to use the bathroom. Their bladders are practically bursting when I pick them up. Our dogs have never ever been happier to escape that wretched place and they have never acted like that may any other groomer ever. The place is complete chaos and the staff are not very friendly. There are so many other great and reliable groomers in the area. We found Applause for Paws and neither us nor or dogs have ever been happier and cleaner! Also the fact that we are in the midst of a pandemic and not one employee was wearing masks when at the counter with customers. I understand it can get hot grooming and choose not to wear it then, but masks and distance should absolutely be used when interacting with customers face to face during a pandemic. If not for the employees safety, for the safety of your customers.

My dog Fluffy does not like getting her hair cut. She left other groomers shaking. Everytime I pick her up from Aloha Dog Grooming she is super happy. The staff are super friendly and care about my Fluffy.

I want to give them 5 stars because they were great with my pets. Both dogs were treated great. But where were your masks? I can’t give you 5 stars if you don’t practice distancing or masks. Please. Please. You’re awesome but this isn’t abiding by the rules and it’s disrespectful.

The dogs (Sasha and Sophie) have been groomed elsewhere for many years. Decided to try Aloha and was very impressed. The staff was very knowledgeable when answering my questions and showed great patience when we had to contact the dogs owner over the phone(I'm a friend of the owner) for various reasons. Both dogs hadn't had a proper bath/grooming for a long time, one of them having thick, knotted fur on her haunches. The groomer was able to comb this area out! Wow! When finished both dogs were very clean, brushed, and nicely trimmed. Thanks Aloha!

Aloha Grooming has a very caring staff, and they do fantastic work. Diego always looks well groomed and clean after he's been to Aloha.

My dogs didn't like going to the grommers and would be shaking after their visit at other locations. This was not an issue at Aloha! They came home happy, like nothing happened. No anxiety issues at all.

I’ve been looking for a locally owned, career type of dog groomer for Buddy since I rescued my dog a year and a half ago. They took care of me, probably more than they took care of Buddy! (I get a little bit of separation anxiety...) You owe it to yourself, your family, and your puppy to go to Aloha. They’ll treat you like a champ and make your worries fade away with the tide. I’m a groupie now! Thanks everyone!

I have been taking my dogs to Tina for the past 6years. Fabulous business. Tina always has a sunny smile and truly so so good at grooming her clients. She is incredibly busy so don’t expect to just walk in...calling ahead is the more professional way. Love love love Aloha for my special Ellie and she smells SO yummy when I pick her up. Thank you Tina for loving your work.....it shows by just talking to you and watching you work.

One star ONLY because I had to. Our groomer was closed so my husband took our 8 lbs Chihuahua to Aloha for a nail trim. I’d heard good things about them, so we figured it would be safe. Upon arrival, he noticed that the facility smelled really bad and there were animals everywhere! We are huge animal lovers, but I don’t think it’s appropriate to have that many around when clients are bringing in potentially stressed pets. Our little guy was very nervous when he was taken back. This quick trim took an abnormally long time which gave my husband a horrible feeling, especially since they do not have a viewing window. Once our dog was brought out, the woman had him walking on his own, having to pass dogs 10x his size! He was freaking out! My husband asked her to pick him up and upon grabbing him he noticed that our dog was completely wet and smelled of feces and urine. She said he was frightened and urinated on himself (which he has never done even during non-anesthesia teeth cleaning). They never offered a bath, they mentioned that they sprayed him with water. We were mortified that they would treat him like this. After we got home (and gave him a bath), we noticed that he had broken blood vessels in his eyes, which occurs in many grooming situations from strangulation! I don’t even want to imagine that that is what could have happened to our little guy. We will NEVER go back to Aloha and would recommend that anyone who does go there, stay with your pet. We do not know who clipped his nails, other than they did a horrible job.

Finn and I hiked up Gridley, which was lined with thickets of phacelia, mostly big flower and sticky, or so it seemed. Poor Finn's coat had leaves everywhere embedded and in my opinion inextricable, short of getting the scissors out. Not to mention the rust like stain that comes along with the leaves! Aloha handled the situation perfectly and Finn came out looking brand spanking new. We'll definitely be back.

This is the only place my dog feels comfortable. For years I would take her to different places, including the vet, to get her nails done. At each place she would sounds like she was being tortured. Then I stumbled upon Aloha. She was nervous when we first went it because of the animals but as soon as she was in the groomers hands she was a calm as she can be. I don't know what magic they perform but she never made a sound the whole time her nails were cut. The next time I watched the nail cutting to hope to learn some tricks. She didn't look like she did anything special. I just think she has that touch that puts animals at ease.

The good reviews are right. The team at Aloha are kind and good to their furry clients. That said, there are a couple of issues that prevent this shop from being, a 5 star place, for us. Their love of animals translates to a few (free roaming) cats, a parrot, and a beautiful large bunny and a few well behaved dogs cruising around. My dog simply can not resist trying to chase the cats. This is a bit scary if he is up on a table and annoying to all if he is not. They are also in such great demand that you do need to schedule far in advance . Super hard for the less organized of us.

Stopped going for a couple reasons. Was told that I needed to make an appointment 3 weeks in advance. Until I went to another groomer didn't realize how choppy my dogs haircuts were. At the end some one new every time. Love where I am going now!
