I left my old vet clinic of over 30 YEARS after a certain incident didn't leave me happy and I sought a new clinic. I saw this clinic suggested by many people on the Nextdoor app so I decided to give them a try. I can't recommend this place enough! Although it's in a strip mall and the clinic itself is quite small, Dr.O has wonderful personality, is always so helpful and kind and usually personally calls you back with your pets test results and goes over them with you and allows you to ask any follow ups. And the staff/vet techs have always been very helpful and super sweet. Sometimes it's a little busier than other times so you might wait 15 mins or so, but I personally don't mind because I know my furbabies are going to get the care and respect they deserve. In the past year+ I've been coming here, I've brought my cats in for issues ranging from a fever, diarrhea, conjunctivitis, bladder stone removal, torn ACL surgery (where they called in a specialized orthopedic surgeon), hyperthyroidism, tooth infection/cleaning, to routine check-ups and vaccinations. I have several special needs and Senior cars why is why there always seems to be some issue, but thank God for Van Nuys Vet Clinic- I don't know where my babies or I would be without them!

We have gone to more expensive vets and they don't offer nearly the level of care Van Nuys does. The only problem with them is parking.

Dr Oh and his staff are caring, and professional. One of the best vets I've been to. Thank you Dr Oh and staff for all your medical help, advise, and care through Cassius Clay's transition.

My pups love the service fast an exact keeps our pups healthy an up to date

Go elsewhere. On hold for almost an hour and as I’m being “helped” and already emailed all my pups records, other staff keep picking up the phone to tell me there’s one call ahead of me . All this mix up just for my pup to get a rabies shot . Not reliable. Not sure what they’re doing.

Really nice workers and handled my pooch with care.

I do like it here it's AFFORDABLE and Dr Oh is very nice It's hard to find any places that don't overprice everything It's a great service God Bless these people they truly love animals!

I'm so pleased with Van Nuys Veterinary Clinic since they opened their doors, they took care my two bulldogs Heineken and Dodger. I lost Heineken two weeks ago and they were so thoughtful and caring from beginning to end. I highly recommend their service. Thank you Dr. Oh and Staff for your exemplary service

Well...good vet.just not so good service ,the kids up front are more concerned about their social life than service.I bring my 3 dogs here.and the same kids gave my dogs the first round of shots twice.When I saw the paperwork I told them they already had those shots when I brought them a few weeks ago,the girl up front said "uhh we gave them the second round it's wrong on the paper.I checked with the guy who administers them and he said it was the first round he injected them with.WOW they dont double check anything,

People in this business, should have the heart to take care of our dogs/our baby. THEY DON'T HAVE THAT. They are reason I loss my dog

Reasonable prices and very knowledgeable vetanarian. Has helped both our cats and dogs with various infections, ailments and even the heartbreaking end-of-life process.

I love Dr. Oh. He was our vet elsewhere, and we followed him to his own clinic. He has always taken care of our two dogs and two cats. However, it is absolutely impossible to get through on the phone. I shouldn't have to call literally 40 times in order for someone to pick up. And then I am put on hold for 15 minutes. I want to keep him as my vet, but this unprofessionalism at the front desk is making it very difficult for me. UPDATE: This week I called and had no trouble getting through. Dr. Oh has hired more staff, but his practice is still going through growing pains. It's worth it, because he is a phenomenal vet and we are now solely going to him to take care of our four animals. I hate giving him a great review, because he is so busy, and we want to keep him to ourselves! :-)

Bad experience at all they misdiagnosed my dog

I have taken both my doggies and kitty to Dr. Oh and have been pleased with all the visits and the work done.

They are not kind. When my dog got a blood test about allergies. They said would call and text me Next day but we couldn’t get a result for 3 days and call them but holding forever then we went to the clinic. But they send me a blood test receipt I’m not doctor so I don’t know these means. They took $160 but no explain about why my dog had a allergic reaction. What should we be careful about? That makes me So mad. They are not professional.

The best care you can get for your pet in the San Fernando Valley. I’ve been taking my lil guy here for years. I have several friends and family members who also have nothing but good things to say about Dr. Moon and his staff. They honestly care and you can feel it.

Service was fast and everyone in the office was kind and patient

Very dessapointed thet have a big sign on the window saying walk ins are welcome my dog was so sick I was desperate ask them to please see my dog and they refused they told me I need to make an appointment ?? I told them please my dog us very sick they did not care they send me to another place ????

I've had mixed experiences here. The first time I saw Dr. Oh he was very thorough in his explanations and I felt confident about entrusting him with my pets. The second time I saw him was the opposite. The whole appointment was very rushed, there was no actual physical exam, he didn't listen to what I said because he'd suggest things I'd just told him we'd already tried unsuccessfully. Maybe he was having an off day or he's just overwhelmed because this place is always busy and he seems to be the only vet there. One thing I really disliked is that he didn't call with the test results. Every other vet I've ever been to, the doctor is the one who calls after tests/procedures so they can not only discuss the results but answer any questions since they're the only one qualified to do so. Here, a vet tech or one of the front desk staff calls you with the results and if you have any follow up questions you have to ask them to relay a message and wait again. And that leads to the biggest issue I have with this place: it's so hard to actually get through to anyone. The phone line is always busy. Emails go unanswered. That said, it's one of the most affordable vets I've found in the Valley. Unless prices have changed recently, exam fee is $35, bloodwork and x-rays were approx $160-$180 each (edited to clarify that that's the price individually, not for both). I just wish the level of care was more consistent.

This place is going down hill fast. They don't answer the phone and not keeping the stock of the dog food they prescribed. They have new girls in the office that have no idea what they are doing.

We rescued a 3 legged kitten and they helped us save the other front paw. Gave us a good price due to it being a feral cat. She's now 2 years old and quite a character! Nice staff.

Dr. Oh's accent can be a bit hard to understand at times, but he evaluated our cat and did bloodwork, and negotiated a very fair price for us. I'm grateful for his generosity and desire to make us happy customers. The only issue is that there is only one trashcan there (that I know of). Not great for a place with pets who have potty accidents. On another note, thankfully there's a bathroom (I have OAB) but it's strangely close to the front desk. Hard to tell how close they were following covid precautions...quite a few customers came inside. Nonetheless, I'm satisfied with the service.

Their prices are very reasonable and they are quick. I've never had to wait long past my appointment time. But I'm always early. Keep up the great work

Very clean facility. The staff is friendly. I called in this morning because my dog had bad allergic reaction on her skin. We were. New patient and they were able to have us come in on the same day and got her all checked out with shots and medication. Such a nice spot and very affordable. I'm going to stay with this clinic from here in out. I recommend to come here.

My guess was correct . One of our ???? had an upper respiratory and ear infection. We also were able to get our flea/ tick dosages and see Dr. Oh right away.

They are AMAZING at the care they provide for you and your pet. They have the BEST staff and the BEST medicines to help with ANY pet's problem. I am very PLEASED with this Clinic and thier exceptional service.

We have been coming here for 2 years and really love Dr. Oh and staff. As of recent you can NOT get through on the phone. You are put on hold for a long time...just to be hung up on. So beyond frustrating and zero appointments available at all times. They really need to hire help solely for the front desk. Will not be going here anymore.
