3yrs ago, I adopted Jingle from SPCA, since then he's been a great addition to our family, filled with laughs and joy. I urge everyone, not to look at specifics when you have the intention to adopt, every dog is filled with love, bring one home, give them love and they'll give plenty more love back!!!

Very nice people here helping animals find homes. We have been here before to donate food but this time we left with a puppy. The staff is friendly and really care about the animals. Clayton helped us and answered our questions and was very nice. If you have the time stop by and check them out. You might just leave with a pet that you save and who will love you for life.

Today was a shot clinic for dogs and cats. I took 2 of my cats for their rabies vaccine...I did wait 2 hours, but I looked around at the dogs and cats up for adoption. I love the work that the SPCA does, and I donate regularly to this organization. I had both of my kitties vaccinated for $40! Way cheaper than going to a vet...I give them 5 stars for all the wonderful work they do!! Rescue an animal!!

I got my first pet from them 14 years ago. I was looking to get another. But I had so much trouble with them putting road blocks it was crazy. I guess they would rather euthanasia them then have a good home. I make my own dog food with real vegetables and steak, fish, and chicken. But I guess that was not good enough.

I have had 3 dealings with the SPCA. Bear was missing for about 5 hours a few weeks to a month ago, and they allowed me to put him on a web site to find him. Within an hour a friend brought him home. He had followed her home. Thank you for that service. The first time he was in their care for 8 days. If I wouldn't have come up with the 300 and some odd dollars to get him out on that 8th day: they were going to put him down. He was less that a year old. Today I called them, and I asked them to come and get the dog that killed Bear yesterday. I was told that, because the dog has lived here, even though the owner is basically squatting here at my house, and was told the dog can not be here. Bear is a 7 year old alpha dog. The animal that killed bear is a half pit and half bull mastiff. Bear was a mini pincher/pappillon mix. I was told they would not come out to my house to get this killer dog. That was the second time the dog attacked Bear, and the woman refused to leave or get rid of the dog. I was not able to evict due to co.-vid The person and .dog do not have entrance to my house but by the front door The door to the bedroom has been blocked off. I am upset to know that the animal control services in my county would allow this dog to remain in a neighborhood where there are several small dog and children. The owner is not responsible with this dog at all. It killed my Bear.

I found my little room mate, Sweety. The young man that assisted me was so very helpful with everything as was the young woman who had me fill out the necessary paperwork.

Website is all about donations, not about actually letting people adopt pets. Went to try and get a cat, yet they are closed for another week, yet there are dogs sitting outside in 100+ degree weather. I wonder if the pets are ok waiting another week.

We loved it, but they need help and they are not allowed to have volunteers yet. So they are under staffed the animals and the wonderful people who work there need us to complain and get them some help. They open up bars, restaurants and everything else, but wont allow animal shelters to get volunteers. Something is wrong with this picture.????????

It's a good place with good people saving animals. Unfortunately it is severely underfunded which means there is always much work to do on facilities.

Got our sweet Buddy 13 years ago from this shelter. I also had my grandkids dogs spayed here. I have had nothing but professional interactions with the staff. Thank you for the great work you do.

We took our kitten here to be neutered and receive all of his shots, microchip, etc. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable and the whole process was very smooth. Definitely an affordable alternative to a traditional veterinarian for the common vaccinations/sterilization procedures.

Probably one of the worst shelters I have delt with. I called interested in a kitten who was about 10 weeks old whocame from the paradise fires I asked them many questions which all got dodged by the man who took my call. I also asked if anything was wrong with the little guy and the guy told me no. So I drove almost 2 hours in high hopes that I will be adopting the kitten I wanted but left disappointed. After getting there I asked about (Neal) the kitten I wanted the receptionist gave me a weird look and told me he has feline herpes(failed to mention that on the phone) so I asked if I could see the little guy they wouldn’t let me back till I filled out paper work still unsure if I wanted him I still couldn’t go back to see him till I filled out paper work. So after driving almost 2 hours I was told I couldn’t adopt Neal they physically would not let me see him or adopt him. I don’t appreciate how I was treated or how I was miss formed before I made the long trip to go down there. DO NOT RECOMMEND

Very professional and great place to get any pet at. They come fully vaccinated, with a microchip, and neutered or spayed. They give a complimentary check up at a local vet and if your dog or pet is sick you’ll be sent home with the meds to make him or her better. Couldn’t have asked for a better place to get my dog

They send the dogs that get spay out waaay too early . Dog can barely walk. Dogs should be held until they can at least walk... They are in a hurry it seems. Won't be back.

My daughter has been begging to come see the furry friends at SPCA, given that we have adopted our baby boy Geezer at the Houston branch years ago. Solano County location is perfect with the facility being very clean and the volunteers there are genuinely passionate about the well being of the animals. They have animal houses for sale! How fun!

At the best they do provide a service but they are rude. I have been trapping feral cats and paying to get the neutered and returned. I arrived early for your appointment I was greated angrily that I was to early. Calm down. I did not want to be late I am more than willing to wait until you open but calm down. When I had the 2nd feral neutered I was told to return at 1:30pm, when I got there I was told all feral are last so i needed to return at 3:30pm. It is quite a distance for me a senior citizen with mobility issues. After this I tried to make another appointment after I trapped another feral and was told I could not get an appointment for over a week. I next used the Solano County, first it was $25 rather than $45 and the people were so friendly and appreciated what I was doing to control the unwanted pet population.
