One of the few places that offer pouched cat food for the really picky cat!

I went there to purchase a hamster. The woman who helped was awesome and went above and beyond. That being said, the fish were in absolutely deplorable conditions. This has obviously been a problem based on previous reviews that reflect such. There was black mold everywhere, inches of algae in every cloudy tank and most tanks were filled with dead fish. Also, the turtle tank was extremely disgusting. It stated there was a turtle in the tank but I couldn’t tell because it was so dirty I couldn’t see through the glass. I understand a few dead fish here and there, but there is absolutely no reason why the tanks should look like this. Ironically they had stickers advertising that they will check the quality of your tanks water at home.

Recently, we had to put down our family pet, Maya. She was the perfect little doggy. PetSmart was efficient and handled us with the utmost of care. Understanding we were losing a family member.They gave us all the time we needed with her to say our goodbyes. The process was gentle and serene. Thank you PetSmart/Bansfield for taking such good care of Maya all of her life ❤

Was an interesting place to get pet supplies. Only problem I had with the place was the one time I went there and they had a hamster stuck on their cages being hung upside down

Ask for help finding a certain brand little dog food, lady employee said it's on isle so and so. Said I was there but didn't see it. Could you show me I ask, she said no. I've been to other PetSmart store and this is the worst.

One of the big box stores, but with quite helpful staff

First time and last time I'll ever go. Some white blonde chick in the front was overwhelmed with customers cashing out and wasn't able to properly answer my questions about a frog that we found. She's extremely uneducated in reptiles and customer service and told my underage son "oh it's a pond frog, throw it back." In which when I took it to Petco, it's far from a pond frog. It's a Baja California Pacific Tree frog. ???? I'll never return to petsmart.

The store was not very clean and had many out of stock items. Fish tanks had alot of algae.

We found what we were looking for, but it looked a bit empty, maybe due to COVID-19 and only one employee on sight

I recently adopted 2 8 week old kittens from Solano Animal Shelter. One of them ( the skinny one, who I may name Ms. Piggy...) eats like this is last day on Earth! I went to Pets Smart to buy Kitten wet food ( more calories, she is skinny). It has a wide variety of food, and the store is super customer friendly. The staff is helpful, and it is nice and clean.

A lot going on here. Pet adoption, grooming, veterinary care and of course sales. Long line to pay with 1 of 3 registers open. Lady at register very calm and collected. Considering she was swamped she apologized to every customer for the wait. Manager seemed preoccupied and didn't seem to notice long line. If she noticed, she didn't care.

worst tank maintenance i’ve ever seen. dead fish were molding over because they haven’t been scooped out in god knows what. tanks were covered in algae and were collecting grime. it’s not hard to clean tanks to prevent them from looking like this. also the humidity levels of the tanks were off by 30-40% of where they should have been to keep an animal happy. the bearded dragons only fresh food source was chunks of fruit that was growing mold.

Mean to a friends dog

I placed an order online and the item was not in stock when I went to check in-store. I spoke to one of the associates and she was super nice and very helpful. It was until she told her manager and he said it wasn’t in Stock and they would refund the money as if I asked for a refund. I told him they need to check their system and he wasn’t apologetic about the situation at all. I got better customer service from the associate than the manager. I drove one hour to Vacaville for no reason.

Most days there is a longer wait than usual for grooming your pet but they do a nice job just wish it wouldn't take so long

I’ve always loved petsmart. Went in back in February and got my daughter 2 guinea pigs. A week later they developed ring worm. We returned them - they promised they would call after treatment and we could pick them up. We called every week to check on them. We got a call for one guinea pig, and picked her up. I kept calling about the second. Finally I called and they said she was on the floor. I rush up there - not the same guinea pig at all. They don’t have the one we returned. Ticked, but I get a different guinea pig so our first isn’t alone anymore. Fast forward a week - it has ringworm!!! Don’t buy pets here!!

PetSmart has been my favorite when it comes to caring for my pets. Their affiliation with Banfield is a bonus but I must recently used their dog grooming services. This is the first professional grooming my dog has received. I've furminated and bathed him but it's the same difference as cutting your own versus letting the barber do it. His coat has never been so shiny and clean since he was a puppy. And he smelt amazing. He still had some very light shedding but not enough to gather when petting him. I think I'm officially done doing it myself.

Very good cool and cool

They have most of what you may need for your pet in the store area but the staff for grooming could have a little more customer service. Was just looking to get my dog washed and her teeth cleaned. When you walk in the small grooming area in the back there’s a sign that says “walk ins” and prices but when someone finally came up to the desk they were rude and told me “we don’t do walk ins, appointments only” and “we’re closed” when in the door the hours said they were open. You will also need to make sure you have proof of rabies shots for your pet if attempting to use their services here.

Absolutely hated working for Vacaville Petsmart. I can confirm from an inside view, most employees there did not enjoy working under the management who blatantly did not care for animals or their employees. The workplace atmosphere was "work until you're exhausted and even then its not enough". It's a pity-- the store has so much potential. I hope corporate is all over this place and the people put in charge.
