We had been here once before when our dog, Cooper, managed to eat part of one of those pre-cooked chickens from Vons (including the bones!), so when he fractured his leg a week before Christmas, we knew right where to go. From that first day of intake and dealing with a pup in pain and his parents who were in hysterics, the staff here could not have been better. Even with the challenges from COVID, they took excellent care of him (and us!). During each interaction, they clearly explained all of our options, pros and cons, and stayed on the phone to answer all of our questions for as long as it took. While he was in there and we could not see him, they sent us pictures and arranged for us to come down when he had a scheduled bathroom break outside so we could see him. Since his surgery, they have checked in on us and been available when we had questions. Today was his final check-up with a clean bill of health, and we could not be happier. No one ever looks forward to their next visit to the pet E.R., but if something does happen, we’re coming back here, no questions asked. I don’t know how they do what they do, but I am glad they do. Thank you all for taking such good care of all of us!

Very unprofessional and rude over the phone when starting the process of getting my fur baby checked out. I understand it’s an emergency center which can be very busy, however there is still a line of professionalism and empathy when providing customer service. I would not recommend this place to anyone. Thank god I discontinued the call and was able to find another emergency hospital who was much more accommodating and took great care of my fur baby.

I’d give this place a -1000 stars. We arrived last night just before midnight. I called and was placed on hold for Over 30 minutes. Finally as I was looking for other Vets….someone walked out and asked us what we needed. A vet lady came out and told us our dog looked fine, nothing “they can do” since they were so busy! Again with an empty parking lot. I didn’t believed her at all, we took our dog home. This place lacks compassion and sympathy and the workers are doing something but not dealing with animals. DO NOT TAKE YOUR ANIMAL THERE IF YOU WANT IMMEDIATE ATTENTION- IT WONT HAPPEN! In the early morning our baby passed! We took her to another hospital and it was like night and day.

I had to put my 14 year old Shi tzu to sleep and Inland Valley Emergency gave my dog and my family the most compassionate and dignified care. They even arranged cremation for my dog that included an entire package of keepsakes and a beautifully name engraved box with his ashes for $100. Thank you Inland Valley. I will never forget your kindness .

This review is long overdue! The time our regular vet recommended this hospital, I googled it right away just to be sure that my fur baby will be in good hand. I was shocked to read the bad reviews so I was concern and skeptical. I called our vet right away and told him my concern but he assured me that the surgical vet that will do the procedure was experience and he trust his expertise. Because we need to do the surgery right away before any complications will occur, eyes closed and with prayer, I made the appointment. I was transparent with them and told them what I read from the reviews and in spite of that, I am entrusting my dog in their hands From the time, I called to make appointment to the day of surgery to the after care and follow up, all I got was kindness, professionalism, transparency and most important of all was the care and concern they showed my dog Service was good. Responses and Refunds quick , no need to wait or call them to ask “ when” or “what’s going on” Special shout out to Dr Kim, Dr Todd ( even if I didn’t see him, he was nice and accommodating on the phone. Soft spoken and very clear on his explanation on what to expect on his care, I didn’t feel that I was rushed and was just a “ number”) and also to the staff, from the front desk to the surgical staff and to those who took care of my dog post op) I know some names but I don’t want to miss anyone, THANK YOU for the successful surgery , you didn’t fail us , my Lucky is doing well, as if nothing happened From my heart, I am grateful. For me and Lucky, you deserved 5 stars ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

If I could give lower than one star I certainly would. Our dog of many years became sick. We watched as our little terrier got worse and worse. We had an appointment the next day first thing in the morning, however she deteriorated to the point she needed professional help. We called several 24 vets however none were available. We drove to Inland pet hospital at approx 11pm. There were no cars in the parking lot so we felt she would be seen. Per their instructions in the parking lot we called the front desk. We were told that they were unable to see our "Mags" as they were full and to try another hospital. I explained that we had already tried over 5 pet hospitals in the area. They again explained that "they were overwhelmed" and could NOT see "Mags". REALLY WITH NO CARS IN THE PARKINGLOT. We were unable to find an open vet. We went home and "Mags" died in the early morning hours. I am not sure if the Vet could have done anything, all I know is we came to the Inland Valley Vet Hospital and they refused "Mags". Anybody that "cold" should not be in the business of caring for Pets. Jeff Jones

Took my cat for poisoning and they were amazing. My kitten stayed there for two days and came back home healthy and happy. Very nice staff and the doctor communicated with us very well.

I will not be using them again. Absolutely ridiculous in a life or death situation, you cant go in with your furry family member. And apparently the office staff doesn't understand emergency. Wasting time to talk about refunds instead of getting me to Audrina before she passed. I liked Dr Zamora, but they need new staff. And after all this time, really wear a mask wash your hands and let the families in. Just unforgivable .

My Pebbles was sick and this is the only place open at 4 am and I know that they only see cats and dogs but they where willing to take a look at my Pebbles who is a sassy bunny. I appreciated they did that. Thank you so much

At a time when our dog was suffering just trying to breath and our regular doctor was too busy we were referred here. Besides the wait time and cost (must be aware) the service, professionalism and life saving ability is great. Dr. Kim completely took control and gave us a perfect diagnosis and recommended the medications to get our dogs heart working again. We are lucky to have them so close in Upland!!

Absolutely horrible place. Do your pet a favor and call another emergency hospital. My 10 month old dog was having a reaction to something (we arent sure what). Anyway, i called and they said yes, to bring him in. That they would see me. I got there in 40 minutes. They checked me in, and i sat there for two hours. Finally called after two hours just to confirm i was in line still to be seen. I got the run around, they kept asking if i switched space numbers, if i left, (which no, i never did). They told me it would be another two hours till my dog would be seen! Then we magically got disconnected (im not 100% sure, but i think they hung up on me!) Finally got through to them again. They had no excuse for the way i was treated and i was told to call tomorrow to speak with the manager, Heather, and tell her what happened. I sat in my car for two hours and they never checked on me, they would have just let me set there for 4 hours!? These people do not care about dogs, they just want a paycheck! If mine was a minor emergency compared to the others that showed up while i was there, i understand. But at least communicate with the customer. Dont make them sit there for hours and then have no idea who i am when i call to check in again!! Go to Redlands Animal Hospital!!

Dr. C. Tansy was excellent and compassionate during our Harley dog’s fight with Cancer. I was so grateful we got an answer / diagnosis. Dr. Tansy’s very intelligent in her field of Oncology. She is a new friend and will have a special place in our hearts. We still miss our Golden Retriever deeply RIP 12-28-2017 ????

My dog suddenly peed out blood and vomiting on the 5th day of my poodle adoption. I went here according to the shelter form. After I parked the car, I found that all their doors and windows were barricaded, unable to enter. After calling the number on the paper, someone answered the phone, the girl asked me to go to the designated parking space and stay in the car for more information also asked us multiple questions. After asking for multiple questions, 10 minutes to register, I was told that there wasn’t any doctors at the time and I had to make an appointment to come back the next morning. My dog peed blood twice at that night after returning home. My family went to the parking lot together at 6 in the morning, we were asked for the same questions but slowly, including the color, name, age, it went on and on. I was emphasized that the situation was very urgent, but the lady emphasized that I spoke too fast and loudly. She couldn't hear me clearly and had to repeat all the information in a low voice, even spelling every letter of the address. When I asked if I could go to the doctor to save my dog and fill in the form when it was happening. They replied that because I couldn't do the registration according to their requirements, they would not save my dog, then asked me to find another hospital, after they wished me a good time and then hung up the phone. At that time, my dog died in my daughter's arms.. This clinic has no sympathy. Their employees are not qualified to save lives. The women who answered the phone even wish me a good good day when my dog is about to die. I advise everyone don’t go there unless you have no other choice or don't mind your pet's death. Looking forward to this clinic closing down, and praying that the people who made these strange regulations and the woman who answered the phone can’t find work. God bless them when they are stuck in the same situation, they can’t close their eyes just like my dog. Finally in the parking lot, My dog died beside his relatives.

My dad set up an appointment for our cat because she abruptly stopped eating, and no other place on the area had an opening available for over 3 weeks. The call center receptionist was excellent, she worked with my dad to get him an appointment the same day. Things quickly went sour when my dad spoke to the vet (via phone call after dropping our cat off). My dad was fairly certain that the issue was with her teeth and that she probably had a tooth problem, hence abruptly no longer eating. The vet immediately said with her age it is probably a heart problem and wanted to charge 700 for heart scans, xrays, and several other very expensive tests because she had a "fast heart beat". The conversation quickly derailed with my father, who said that that they should do bloodwork, and check her mouth first. The vet proceeded to gaslight my dad about responsibility and suggested that is was villainous for my dad to say he would need to put the cat to sleep because of the indirect choice of doing all these tests to check for a problem that would cost even more money and lifelong medication to resolve, while not doing basic tests first. Vet never mentioned checking her mouth, and my dad ended up not seeking anything from the clinic, he is taking her to our normal vet in three weeks. Nothing was resolved and my dad was left distraught over what the vet said to him, his mind was left spinning as to why the cats mouth wasn't even checked. The report from the clinic doesn't indicate that they checked her mouth, but it does indicate that my dad disagrees with the vet and his statements being my dads opinion and carrying no weight towards the evaluation. The evaluation eerily also says that the cat was not in a emergency state, not dying, and not starving and that my dad wanted to put the cat to sleep, when my dad clearly said he would a only resort to something like that out of the pain and suffering of the cat, while the vet interpreted this as my dad just seeking ways to get a vet to euthanize her. I find this extra eerie because the vet originally said the heart condition could be serious and needed immediate scans and nothing about the heart issues is on the report. I find it unbelievable that a vet visit could derail this much. At the very least its unreal the vet wouldn't actively check her mouth and do the basic bloodwork. We are left feeling worried about our cat until we see a vet we trust and that has rational responses to questions and concerns. I am very confident that these decisions were predatory and made because they are expensive and would make the clinic money, and not essential in any medical way for our cat. It is true that the cat isn't in critical condition, but we chose this clinic because of the delay in seeing our usual vet, as her condition could be a lot worse three weeks from now. I will warn anyone who is going to this clinic (willingly or not) to be careful about predatory medical recommendations a vet might try to force on you in an emergency situation. Luckily our cat was not in critical condition and my dad was able to see through the any deception being made, but I know it is difficult to do that in an emergency situation.

Avoid this place, rude receptionist, they are quick taking your money, in my case 5k+ but when i came back for a dr requested follow up visit, they only took new clients, so i called to see why no one was coming to get my dog, rude lady told me they didn't do appointments, WTH, i was given an appointment when i first took my dog for surgery and 1 week prior to my last visit, not happy, stay away!!

That's got to be the most horrible terrible place to take your animal if you want your animal to die take him there they make you sit out there for two hours and tell you they're going to see your animal and then they come and tell you that they can't see you to go somewhere else they don't even come to tell you you got to go over there and ask question I sat there two hours the other night and they didn't get to see my poor animal that was almost dying that is got to be the most horrible place to take an animal I highly suggest don't ever take your animal there if you want him to die

Took my healthy kitten who had a small issue with his back end and this place destroyed his back side, so much so that he had no muscle control when they where done and had to be put down the following day, he was 9 weeks old and we had him for only 3 weeks.....they BUTCHERED him and charged me nearly 500.00 and tried to make me feel bad for not spending an additional 671.00 on Anesthesia. I waited 11 hours to be seen and still had to take him to another vet just so be could be put down. They are all about there money here, please take your pets and beloved members of your furry family else where where they will be cared for, not just seen as a inconvenience or a quick buck. How can you live with yourselves after doing that to a kitten, he was healthy and there was no reason for what was done, it was barbaric and just wrong! People trust you guys, that should mean something to you as a human being but I guess you sleep well on the mountains of money you make off of others misfortune. I wont be returning here ever and I advise anyone reading this to do the same!

Terrible service, lots of miscommunication, their wait time in 10x longer than their estimate just to pay and release your pet. No procedures were done for it to take so long, literally just an examination and then to be sent home with antibiotics.

Never taken an animal here that came home. Staff could care less and are totally rude. Go somewhere else, Colton or Norco.

We called and rushed our baby to this clinic and Dr Brown herself came out to meet us. We didn’t even have to call it was like she was waiting on us she took our baby in. Andy came out to speak to us and to calm us down. Dr Brown came back out and let us know she was gone both she and Andy consoled us with kind words and brought us a box of tissues. They were such a blessing in this difficult moment.

This emergency clinic charge was twice the average!! My husky needed to be hospitalized to stabilize her bad symptoms of diabetes. The clinic told us that it would cost more than $8,000 to stay in the hospital for just 3 days!! Google says that the average price for emergency and hospitalization in the animal hospital is $2,000-$3,500 for 3-5 days! We were transferred from another emergency department after the doctor had contacted the clinic, but they still made us wait right outside the door under the sun for 1 hour straight!!! We already did the exam from the other clinic and the medical examination reports information was already send to this emergency clinic, but they did not even check the medical exam that was already done on the same day. The emergency clinic told us that they must do the examination by themselves again and charged us $180 on the same exam that was already done on the same day. Later, we got a phone call about how they are going to charge us $8,000 and the moment we told them that we were not planning for our dog to stay and they charge way too much, their attitude changed. They continued being mean and told me that they would not prescribe any medicine or do any injections to help our dog if we do not choose to pay $8,000 for my dog to be hospitalized there. After the conversation she came out and told me to sign the receipt, the moment she turned around I saw her rolled her eyes at us with an attitude and walked back into the clinic...

Stay away from this vet. They have zero compassion and only eagerly speak to you when it's about charging an exorbitant amount of money. For us, after paying more than $8,000 for a surgery our dog needed, getting them to remove the staples has been a nightmare. We came back the day they prescribed, but were told "...it'll be a five to six hour wait. You can come back tomorrow". Similarly, after returning, and though the parking lot was empty, they claimed to be understaffed, with too many animals to care for, so our dog can't be treated. That unpleasant conversation ended with the receptionist rashly hanging up. Even if they are under a lot of stress, and can't help but be brazen, they should keep their word. This clinic said they would complete the surgery, as long as we paid $8,000+ up front, including removing the staples. We paid their astronomical fee - but we'll have to come back a third time to finally get the staples removed. Ludicrous. They might act like they care for your pet, initially, for a fleeting moment, when they're trying to charge thousands of dollars for treatment. Yet, once they've received payment, their rudeness and callousness is all they exhibit.

AVOID! DO NOT BRING YOUR FUR BABY. They do NOT care about animals, are only after your money! They don't deserve the 1 star!! They were very nice when we handed them over $5k for our dog's orthopedic surgery but extremely RUDE at today's follow-up stitch removal. Originally gave us a 9:30am follow-up appt, we checked in at 9:13am. We noticed others arriving after us were being helped so we called to make sure our dog was on the list. Girl that answered became very rude and started raising her voice, you'd think we were asking for free service. Well we refused to wait til after 12 noon to be seen, so went back home with her staples still in. AVOID this heartless hospital, staff does not have any compassion for your pet or your time. They only cater to new money.

They are abusive to animals here. They had to hold our dog for 4 days to get a corn cob out of her stomach and when she was returned to us she had a large scab on her chin and her front tooth was broken in half so now we have to pay to fix that as well to prevent her pain. I cannot stress this enough do not bring your pets here they are far too rough with them.

Took my dog for an emergency visit and told us he had lung cancer and would want 10-12k at first then dropped it to 5-7k. He had a tumor and needed surgery but the vet said the likelihood of him surviving was low either way. He recommended putting him down. If we decided to not do that, he would threaten to call the animal protective services if we decided to take him elsewhere in 24 hours. He would cut us off when asking questions and wanted authority overall to convince you. We had to put my dog down after convincing my parents. Just wish we had a second opinion from a different hospital or clinic. My dog was doing well just ate less these past couple days. He coughed weirdly so we took him there. Vet didn’t even want to explain how the X-rays were and explained it poorly after asking many times. The vet is a bald guy with a beard. Just don’t go here
