I got my two rescue cats here. My experience was wonderful. Staff was helpful. I thank God for places like this and the people who work and volunteer here. My cats make me so happy!

So nice of them to have a pet food pantry, I got kibble for my rescue kitties and ferals that roam my area. Have taken some sick kittens here for surrender. They will adopt out animals that are surrendered here according to what they told me.

A lovely facility with great staff. The one downside: appointment only. You will need to begin taking walk ins again if you want to adopt out your over abundance of cats and dogs. Every time I have visited, I have seen people turned away at the door. Those are potential pet parents who might not be ready to make an appointment via phone.

I have mixed feelings about this place, on the one hand they are underfunded and doing their best with the resources they have. But the kitten I adopted over the weekend did not leave their facility in good health, which contradicts all of the paperwork they had me sign before taking possession of her. She has tapeworms, they did not fully disclose her medical history to me and the fact that she almost lost an eye. They sent me home with drops and said she had mild redness in her eye, only after reading her chart after getting home did I see the notes about the ocular ulcer. She could battle discharge for the rest of her life. And most importantly they do not test for feline leukemia and aids… still awaiting the results of that test which cost me $116! Every other rescue and shelter tests for those things, I was shocked to learn they don’t. I’m still very happy with my kitty and glad I got her out of there and into a safe and loving home.

We adopted our adorable dog from OC Animal Care last week. Once we were able to book an appointment the adoption process was very straight forward and easy. Things were somewhat disorganized and there was a lot of confusion when we were requesting appointments to meet dogs. However, overall the staff are doing great work and it is appreciated.

Nice place for animals especially for dogs. They even helped us to take care of my sweet mambo puppy body week ago for cremation. Thank you OC animal care staffs especially to Edgar and Chris. God bless you all.

First of all I would give this 0 stars if I had that choice cuz that’s what it deserves. This place is trash and unprofessional. I brought in a kitty and the guy wouldn’t accept it cuz he wasn’t sick or a newborn and I understand that. But what I didn’t like is that he told me that I should just let it go in the streets. Like are you fr?? The whole point of a shelter is so they can find these poor animals a home but the guy told me to let him go and that it was up to me what I do. Make it make sense bro. Who knows what they do to these animals. Wouldn’t trust them. I was disgusted after I left and will not recommend to take an animal here if u found one. But anyways I decided to keep this furbaby. He is better off with me then that rude disgusting shelter.

I felt let down. When I called at 8:03 am. I was told I would be the first appointment for this adorable dog I wanted to adopt. Then the 'scheduler' calls to make my appointment and I am told I have the second appointment. First appointment was at 1pm, second was mine at 3pm. If the dog gets adopted from the first appointment they would call me before my appointment. I arrived at 2:46pm. I fill out a form it's now 2:55 pm. Then he says, the dog I came to see was adopted 30 minutes ago...thanks for getting my hopes up, then breaking my heart...Having depression/anxiety is hard to deal with.

I had a GREAT experience here! AS busy as they are, the staff patiently let me see 4-5 dogs. I adopted the 5th little guy and have had him for almost 2 years. On the way out they gave me a free blanket and got to choose a toy. I was impressed at how clean and organized the facility was. That said, many of the animals there are stressed but not because of poor treatment, of course lots of dogs are barking and cats meowing likely because they have been on the streets and god knows what else Each stall was clean and had a blanket or pillow for the animal to rest upon. I have recommended this place to many friends and neighbors!!
