No personal interactions with the Turlock animal shelter. Everything is done on the internet. Looking for my lost dog Clyde. He has been missing for 3 months.

We called in to report possible animal abuse, and they never sent anyone to come investigate. I mean, really? The safety and possible life of some animal is in danger and you can't be bothered to do anything about it. Very disappointing, Unreliable, and Unprofessional. Never rely on them.

Recently i received a phone call from Animal Services to notify me my pet had been found but sadly was deceased. The lady was very compassionate and understanding. I really appreciated her caring attitude and am grateful for their services. Thank-you

Officer Penny (I hope I've spelled it right) has been helping us out in our mobile home neighborhood. Lots of feral cats and one that I've tamed. They're all getting fixed and set free. As cute as kittens are, it's better not to have piles of feral kittens. TPD Animal Services as been professional, efficient and helpful for our neighborhood. Five stars, you betcha.

Officer Walter was amazing from the moment she came to pick up a lost puppy. Officer Walter went above and beyond.

Called for 6 minutes straight before opening and at opening. Got an answer after the dog was gone already. There website says they dont hold dogs and its first come first serve but also they do what they don't allow. Very rude staff, get off your high horse.

I trapped a cat Thursday night and took it to the animal control shelter Friday morning. Friday morning the driveway was blocked off. I checked the internet before I left and it said that they were open! When I got home I called to see what was happening. I was told that the shelter was only open on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays, and then only by appointment! What next, a soberity test, a citizenship requirement, only on your birthday? How rediculus can you get! I guess I am going to convence the cats to jump in the trap on que on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, or Thursday, and then, and only then, make an appointment! I was also told that they now have a catch and release program, back to the same neighborhood they were caught! How is that going to help solve the problem of having too many cats? The main problem is that the City doesn't enforce its law of only three cats per household! I blame the governing body, the city council, for such insanity!

but it was not successful Vasquez

The officer was thorough in all details and repeated if neccessary. Let me see my animal. More than willing to help in any way. Very grateful to their services.

This place honestly has the rudest staff. I hope they treat the animals better than they treat people.

Injured and abandoned dogs but the police wouldn't go because we didn't have a better address.

Do NOT take any stray, abandoned animal to this shelter. They are heartless and will euthanize all animals without giving them a chance to be adopted. This place should be shut down. Cats are better off being feral than facing the cold hearted practices of this shelter. There are plenty of no kill shelters available.

My roommate and I found an abandoned, alone kitten in our yard. We nursed it for about 2 days until the shelters opened. We took it to this shelter, called ahead to see if they would take it. Once my roommate got there with the kitten, they took it. She offered and donated the formula we bought. They said they wouldn't need it because the kitten was going to be euthanized. My roommate understandably asked to have the kitten and the formula back. They said no, being as it wasn't spayed/neutered, it can't leave the premises. This kitten was barely a week old, it still had the umbilical cord attached. Of course it wasn't fixed. Had they been upfront about what was going to happen, had they informed my roommate when she called, had their website had information, my roommate would never had taken the kitten there. They had no remorse, no empathy for what they were doing. My roommate is understandably heart broken. Do not take your animals/pets to this facility. They are heartless. 0/5 stars.

I called the day prior and asked about a dog and they said it was there. I told them I was driving from a ways away, but understood that they can't hold a dog, but I would be there first thing tomorrow when they opened. I showed up at opening and the gate was not opened yet, so I parked on the street. For some reason the lady that unlocked the gate was harassing me about not parking in their lot, which was odd. Once inside, I was told that the dog I called about had been gone days ago. I understand that we can't be gaurenteed a dog, but the fact that the person could have told me that dog was already gone the time I called, but didn't have the right information or was too lazy to look was really bad service and wasted hours of my day.

This place doesn't even deserve ONE star. These people are horrible, they just kill dogs. They don't even give you information daily about their dog. I shall soon sue this place. Disgusting!

They care about the animals. They know the dogs likes and things that will be the perfect fit for a family they need. They screen the people to match up what type of dog that will fit in with the family.
