They took 7 dog's from the stockton shelter which I had the pleasure of delivering to them

I'm training to be a dog trainer. So far I've learned quite a few things. I went to look at a dog with my family and I was pleasantly surprised at how much the workers knew and how well they handled every situation. It was very clean and professional. Definitely the best shelter I have been to by far. If you're considering going definitely do.

My family and I lived in Truckee for thirty five years. I recently flew into Truckee from Montana where we are currently living. I visited the Humane Society on March 4, 2021. I came to meet Harlen. I feel the staff at the shelter are doing a big injustice to this dog. He needs a lot of exercise and discipline. When I took Harlen for a walk, he repeatedly bit me.. I am afraid he is going to bite the wrong person and have to be put to sleep. I am strongly suggesting a mussel be placed on Harlen, for his future and the safely of others.

What a great resource for the community

Very clean. We were able to get food for our dog ????, food n water bowl. We were told if they have the supplies, to give a way crates. They also take donations. There is a list of things they can and can not accept- DUE TO "COVID-19

They helped me through tears and inability to form actual speech.

The best people are hired here. If I need anything concerning my dog that was adopted from there, I still get it over a year after the adoption. That's not a normal thing but they are more focused on the animals well being than judging why you need a few days of dog food. They are awesome.

I looooove the humane society! They take such good care of the animals and I love/don’t love hearing the animals story. The dog kennels are very clean. The one thing I don’t like is that their not open on Sunday, other than that I love it!

They do an amazing job caring for the animals. The shelter I'd a pleasant place to visit and find a new friend.

My 10 year old Chihuahua, Rusty, snack out the door and creamer got out of our fence and disappeared while I was at work. He was picked up by a neighbor and dropped at the Truckee Animal Shelter. They posted his picture right away on Facebook and the people of Truckee rallied to help me find him there. The employees were so kind to me and so considerate of my income status . they totally helped me with getting Rusty and my other dog Scout, all squared away and set up for shots, licenses and neutering! ! In the end, rustys escape helped to make me into a better mama. Thank you T.T.A.S. and the Humane Society for setting us up to succeed!!

I recently adopted Wyatt a 7 year old chocolate lab and oh my goodness whoever passed this beautiful dog up is missing out! He is the most well behaved sweetest smart as can be dog. Fully house trained, knows sit , stay, shake, wait, etc. He sleeps all night no kennel at all and has barked once in 3 days. So amazing he is! I love him and he's great with the kids. Thank you so much for this joy of a ????!

Thought I would stop by to check out the local Humane Society while visiting Truckee. Although smaller than the facility in my hometown, this is a very clean and compassionately run organization. The staff were warm and welcoming from the moment I entered the front door. There were volunteers in the cat room, as well as several in sitting and socializing with the 6 dogs there that day. A few other visitors were looking seriously at taking home a dog and that excitement was palpable. Check out the website with animals available for adoption which includes photos, video and history as well as behavioral observations as they get to know the animals. Highly recommend!

The Truckee Humane Society is a no kill shelter with cats and dogs for adoption. I am one of hundreds of volunteers who try to make life a little more normal for these animals waiting for their forever homes. It's very clean the animals get the best of care here. Please always adopt. You will get the very best of unconditional love from a rescued animal.

I cannot say enough good things about this place. They staff, the facility, the animals, all of these pieces make this the place to get a pet for a forever home!
