Look no further for your cat’s veterinary needs! Dr. Cody and his staff were very accommodating, courteous, and professional. The entire team was very knowledgeable and helpful, every question I had was answered in depth. I am so happy that I have finally found the perfect cat doctor!

I called my regular Vet/ER at 11am to see if I could bring in my cat. I also called two other emergency vet hospitals and a backup vet to see if I could bring my cat in for a possible UTI. The regular Vet/ER's were unable to to see any animals as they were without an emergency vet on duty. They gave me the name of another VET ER. Called them, they had an 8 hour backup of patients and referred me to the vet I had just called. Long story short, called "The Cat Doctor" on a chance. Christine answered, heard my problem, took my number and said I'll call u right back, I'll check with the Doctor and see if he can make a spot to see the cat. They were booked a week out. Christine made it happen, we got Jon Doe in, and they treated him with great care! tTurns out he has become diabetic. So grateful to Doc Cody and the entire staff! They went above and beyond!

Dr. Cody is a compassionate, intelligent and thorough professional. He is never an alarmist, always reasonable. We are very happy to have him taking care of our feline children.

I recently acquired 2 beautiful kittens and was searching for the best care I could find for them. I came across The Cat Doctor and brought them in for checkups and shots. Everyone I spoke with was super nice and caring, Dr Bryan even called a few days later, to check up on them after they both had some nasal congestion. Happy to find such a nice local place to take my kitties when they need care.

I recently adopted a rescue cat that had a host of (previously unknown/undisclosed) health issues, and Dr. Cody and his team have patiently helped me work through each hurdle. They have been incredibly communicative, especially given all of the quarantine restrictions, and are always willing to answer additional questions about my cat's health and their recommendations. After 6 months of medications and diagnoses, I'm finally getting to know my incredibly sweet, now healthy, cat. They helped him through one, maybe two upper respiratory/ear infections, four dental extractions, and helped me get his weight to a healthier place (he was underweight when I got him). Additionally, he is incredibly anxious, and this is the ONLY vet I can take him to that doesn't leave him shaking and scared. We're not really in the area, but given their incredible work, I wouldn't take my cat anywhere else.

I just called them and told the person on the phone to ask the vet to halt all declawing process. I respect people’s business but as someone who calls themselves 'The Cat Doctor' they need to know better. Declawing is equivalent of cutting a humans fingers. [It's so cruel that it's even illegal in New York and some cities, towns.] There are ways to communicate with animals. I had many cats in my life. My harshest way to stop them was to gently blow on their faces & say no. [They just need a scratcher because it's in their nature to mark their territories.] Animals are open to communication. Rather than causing a cat to suffer & become disabled they can teach the humans to communicate with their cats. No furniture is more important than an animal. I said ill write an online review & we will keep taking actions. She said she will deliver the message.

A wonderfully caring and understanding staff, and Dr. Cody is warm and knowledgeable about all things Cat. I am so happy that there is a Cornell educated vet that I can trust with my beloved cat. Prices are very reasonable, and there is plenty of one-on-one attention.

This is in response to emek echo's review. I am the owner of The Cat Doctor in Thousand Oaks. I do not declaw cats and we have not offered declawing since I took over the practice in April 2016.

Dr. Cody and his team truly love cats. They know my two monsters by name and have such energy and enthusiasm for them. When my cat's paw was cut on a piece of glass, they treated her and made sure I was comfortable with wound care and her medications before sending me home. After every appointment, Dr. Cody calls within the week and asks me how my cats are doing by name. I really feel the staff here cares about my cats and their well being.

I could not be more pleased with our experience here! Patches and I were shown incredible compassion and attentive care, from my first interaction with the helpful and friendly staff to when I walked out the door after the exam. I even received a call a few days after our appointment to check in on Patches and to see if we needed anything else for her. The Cat Doctor is the only veterinarian facility I’ll be turning to should my cats need any future medical attention. THEY ROCK!!!

The Cat Doctor (Dr. Cody), and his sensitive staff (Shelly & Mandy) are true cat and cat owner whisperers. I just moved to the area, and had to put my beloved, very old feral kitty down. He was with me for approximately 20-years. The Cat Doctor and loving staff were extremely gentle, genuinely caring, empathetic and highly professional and skilled. They eased my kitty and I through a most difficult transition. I have four other cats (semi-ferals), all of whom now have truly the best veterinarian. I received a tastefully kind sympathy card, which was extended in a thoughtful period of time. Thank you, Dr Cody, Mandy, and Shelly, for ‘being there’ with such great care.

We have 5 fur babies. Dr. CODY & his staff, Blake, Shelly and Drew are wonderful. They take excellent care of our fur babies as if they were their own. We have two over 18 years old and are in very good health. Part of the reason for their good health is the way Dr. CODY takes care of them when they are ill or just coming in for a routine check up. Dr. CODY is not only kind but is knowledgable in his field. His staff make us feel welcome and treat our fur babies with the utmost love, care and respect. Blake has such a wonderful way of talking to our cats that makes them feel safe. His energy lights the room. You won't go wrong choosing Dr. CODY and his staff. They have exceeded my expectations for great veterinary care.

Brought my cat in with kidney failure, took an x-ray, said prognosis was poor, but continued to sell me services of antibiotics, fluids, etc, knowing my cat was dyeing, did not offer to put him down, my cat dyed that day, only out for the money. If you love your pet..DO NOT TAKE THEM THERE!!!!

Can I tell you how much I love the Cat Doctor?? Dr. Cody, Shelly, Mandy, Drew, Blake--it's pretty unusual to love everyone in a vet practice, but it's definitely true here. Everyone is calm, concerned, loving, and they all understand and appreciate cats. I've never before had a tech pick up my cat and shower him with kisses, but that's the kind of attention Jasper gets here. Dr. Cody diagnosed our cat with heart disease over a year ago, and I was terrified, given that we'd recently lost a cat to the same disease. I just wish we had gone to Dr. Cody with our first cat, because Jasper is doing so much better than we'd expected, given our prior experience. I've never boarded a cat before, because all our other vets took other animals, but this is the best place Jasper could possibly be when we're away. It's all-cat, it's quiet, it's calm, and I know Jasper gets wonderful attention, loving, and a calm hand to administer his medications while we're gone. Having gone here once, it's impossible for me to imagine taking a cat anywhere else; I highly recommend Dr. Cody, his wonderful staff, and his clinic to any and all cat lovers.

Highly recommend. The Dr and staff’s first priority is healthy cats. I have taken my girls to The Cat Doctor in Thousand Oaks for 8 years for everything from regular check ups to dental cleanings to more serious ailments. Each visit, I knew my cats were getting the best care. Thank you!
