Asha and Dr. Steenhard are two of the nicest, most professional people you will meet. They took great care of my baby. I highly recommend this VCA to care for your pets.

12/15/2021- The manager called me after seeing my review and they did in fact state that the radiologist made a mistake and they were truly sorry. They offered to refund quite a bit of money back to me for this mistake and were extremely apologetic and just wanted to make things right. I am really happy they reached out and feel better about the whole situation. Though, if my dog had died it would have been a completely different outcome. Thanks for making it right VCA pet medical center! Previous review: This place is extremely professional and the ladies and doctors are super sweet. But beware this place is ridiculously expensive compared to multiple other vets in the area and even in previous places I’ve lived in. The first experience I had here was amazing. They got my dog in same day and treated him for a UTI. About two weeks later my dog started to have a lot of the same symptoms and wasn’t eating, so I called back and they asked for me to bring him in. After spending another $700 for X-rays the doctor told me she found a fist sized mass, and that he needed to see a specialist for further instruction and there was really nothing else they could do for him but prescribe anti-nausea medication to help him keep food down. After calling around to specialists in the area, no one could get him in until end of December. Wouldn’t you think a fist sized mass might be more urgent if it was cancer or something more serious? Because he still wasn’t eating and he was acting extremely ill, I decided to drive him to WA (we live here temporarily for my fiancés job) because I had a feeling something else was going on and he needed to be seen by his regular vet ASAP. I ended up taking him in as soon as I got to Washington and the Dr found an obstruction in his intestine. Because he couldn’t pass anything through his stomach his body was basically poisoning himself and his organs were starting to fail on him. She said he could not wait any longer and she needed to take action. It ended up being a squeaker from one of his toys and he went into immediate surgery. How can you get a fist sized mass mixed up with a little toy squeaker? Mis-diagnosing an animal like that could have cost him his life if I hadn’t taken matters into my own hands. If I had waited for him to see a specialist for 3-4 more weeks he would have died. The veterinarian I took him too was extremely confused how VCA medical center couldn’t see that he was obviously obstructed and that there was no mass present. Like I said I’ve had a good experience here previously but I will not be taking my dog here again due to this poor misdiagnosis.

I can’t say enough nice stuff about this clinic! Our poor baby KATO passed away suddenly and we didn’t know where to start. Brigitte made things as painless as humanly possibly. She handled everything with care and compassion which instantly put our minds at ease. The entire staff have been watching our babies since we first adopted and I would go nowhere else!! THANK YOU ❤️

False hope.. Took our dog there for hernia surgery recommended by a local vet. Told us that she would be just fine if we spent the $7,000 for the surgery. When we picked her up afterwards, they refunded part of the $ with no explanation. Brought her back a few times stating that she was not getting better, but worse. Charged us again for blood tests and Xrays (re-paying back the refund) and said she was fine. Continued to get worse every day even though we were giving her the medicine they prescribed and followed their advice. Just had to put her down today. Be honest!!! Tell people the risks of a surgery like hers before hand so they can make an informed decision before spending thousands of dollars, and putting the dog through months of misery. Don't let them keep you in the parking lot (due to Covid) while your pet is being examined. Demand that you are able to go in and ask questions.

I can not say enough good things. Dr. Steenhard and the whole office staff has been amazing since day 1. They are caring, compassionate, knowledgeable, and have an obvious love for animals. We had to unfortunately put our puppy down, but Dr. Steenhard helped us along the way, guiding us on things to try and do, and told us when it was time. We were given our time to say our goodbyes, and never felt rushed. Thank you VCA for loving our Olive and for caring for our family.

Dixie Mae is our family dog but she more then that to us. Our dog means the world to us and we would be heart broken of anything happened to her. Our Dixie Mae is high maintenance but we love her and she family! I noticed she gets a lot of ear infections to wear things pop up though out her body, my poor baby was in so much pain I felt I needed to take her in ASAP... I called the Murrieta location and explained everything that was going on and they were a week out for appointments. I felt that I could not wait that long. So with that being said I called the Temecula Quetion which is across the street from chaparral high school I’ve been there a few times before and I absolutely loved everyone that was there and the experience that I had they got me in the very next day! This excited me because I felt like I was gonna have to go to an emergency vet clinic. I live in Hemet Ca and this place is ALWAYS Worth the drive. They take care I love you as if they were in your situation... Not only did they help me with the infection that Dixie Mae was having doctor helped me medication for her high anxiety to help her calm down and relax! They have called and texted me Several times to make sure that she is feeling better and is doing better! She was back to normal very next day... THANK YOU so much VCA Temecula for helping my baby girl feel better. We are so please and thankful you your team work in getting her better! WE WILL NEVER GO ANYWHERE ELSE!!!! I will post an update on the anxiety medication and letting you know how she’s doing and what is different... #BLESSED

I love this place. The staff and doctors were great with my corgi. My little girl got pneumonia during a teething procedure at a different vet clinic. I needed to find another doctor and found VCA Pet Medical Center. The staff and doctors at VCA really took care of her. The doctor actually called me back to discuss my little girl’s care with me and answer any questions I had. The other clinic would not answer their phone when I called them to see what happened during the teeth cleaning and to request medical records.

I only take the time to write a review if a business really wows me... I don’t even know where to start. I guess I’ll just tell the story! So I’ve had my 8wk old puppy now for about 2 wks...my 5 year old son who’s about the size of a 7-8 yr old accidentally fell right on top of her in the backyard on concrete! It was a horrific event with lots of screaming and crying from both the dog and child (son was fine) I was panicking since this was my first puppy and was so scared that something was terribly wrong with her. I called 5 different vet offices to see if they had an available emergency appointment and no body had anything. I prayed and prayed and came across this VCA office so I called and even though they didn’t have any openings, they still were able to squeeze her in!! The best part besides them doing that for me was the fact that they could have taken complete advantage of me and charged me up the wazoo for X-rays and anything else but instead just had me monitor her and only charged me the $25 first visit exam!!!!!! Thank God for these people. I feel so blessed to have stumbled across them and now I will have them be our forever vet!!!! Thank you all from the bottom of my heart!!

This clinic were super with us in June when we had to put our big girl down. Their compassion, professionalism and understanding were Bar None. Because of this when my wife was provided with a New Service Dog by Custom Canine we made them our primary care giver for our new girl. Just went in for a medical and it was a super experience as usual. Darn Covid keeps us from being with our girl during check ups but the staff easily facilitates a phone conv with the vet during her visit which makes up for it.

I am completely disgusted with this vet office since I have paid this place over $5000 in previous pet business. I scheduled 3 appointments for my 3 pets about 10 days out. They guaranteed me they would call me if my visit would not be the $25 initial visit rate. 1 hour prior to our appointment time I called to verify that the rate would be the same and of course it wasn't. They told me it would be the $60 rate. I'm sure they were waiting to surprise me with the $105 difference once the visit were complete. Horrible business tact and a complete waste of my time. Congratulations on losing a customer.

I took my puppy to another vet for cough, they said it was reverse sneezing, I took him back since he wasn’t getting any better and saw another doctor at the same place and they said it was kennel cough and gave him 2 weeks antibiotics and cough meds, he wasn’t getting any better and took him back, I had to get a chest X-ray ($400) and a respiratory panel ($100) which came back positive for a lot of things, they gave him another antibiotic for two weeks, he still wasn’t better so I took him back and gave him another 2 weeks of a different antibiotic, still not better. I was advised to get a second opinion so I took him to VCA. He saw Dr. Barrera; she was very understanding that I couldn’t afford any more testing since I had spent around $1000 already, she prescribed meds for 6 weeks. It has only been 3 days and my puppy is way better! Before he used to cough all night and even looked like he couldn’t breath, now he has barely coughed. I am so grateful to her and her tech Kaylin because they really cared about my baby! Thank you so much to both of you!!!

I can't recommend this place enough. The staff is always helpful and polite. They genuinely care about your pet. They also offer a pet preventative plan, similar to your yearly check ups, but for pets. Costs around $50 a month depending on your plan and includes nueter/spay for puppies. The Doctor and assistants have been nothing but exceptional, since the moment we chose them.

I have been bringing my dogs here since 2004. I have had a total of 5 dogs that this facility has taken care of. They offer the most up-to-date procedures and the Doctors are very knowledgable. My most recent experience was with my dog Sam. In March 2014, he was diagnosed with a rare form of bladder cancer. Dr. Bach, the owner felt that the surgery was beyond her scope so she had a vet come up from North County to perform the operation. Sam recovered well and due to the nature of cancer it was believed that further treatment was necessary. Dr. Bach referred me to a Veterinary Oncologist for chemotherapy treatment. Sam was able to enjoy 16 months of normal life until his cancer returned elsewhere in the last 2 months of his life. I had Sam at Pet Medical Center quite often during his last 2 weeks and Dr. Bach and Dr. Corso said I could end his life if I wanted but I didn't have to just yet. He finally got to the point where it would have been cruel to keep him alive any longer. Dr. Bach and her staff were very sensitive to his condition and to my feelings when I finally decided to end his suffering. The follow up from Dr. Bach and her staff has been tremendous, helping me to get through the loss of such a wonderful dog.

For over ten years I have trusted the care first of my darling Great Dane Rutger and Tobias my Dalmatian and now my Golden Doodle Addy into the incredible and skilled hands of Dr. Bach . When Rutger was diagnosed with chronic pancreatictis, Dr Bach Researched and determined the best protocol and treatment for Rutger’s condition which saved his life several times. Dr. Bach is warm, compassionate, down to to earth, professional, knowledgeable and comforting funny! And just one expertly skilled veterinarian!! I love her! And her staff is amazing as well! Thus the name I’ve given her “Super Bach”!

When i called to request an appointment I got my date and time of choice the same day. Once arriving ( a few min late ) I was still able to sign in sn was brought back to the back room. The vitals were taken almost immediately. There was an emergency during out appoint time and we were well advised that it would be a little longer. Totally understandable as out furry friends may have emergencies too. We waited about 50 min and during that time they came in3 times to apologize for the wait. We decided to make a new appoint for a few days later. Even though we had to wait a bit, I’m glad that the attention. Was on that poor girl eat that needed the emergency. Hope all went well. Out 2nd app it went by fast and w no issues. My only issue is that I made my first appoint request via the email reminder site ability and didn’t get a call back therefore called to make the appointment instead. Still. A very good experience at pet medical. Will not change them for anything.

Knowledgeable, Professional and Thoughtful, . the only way I can describe the entire Team at VCA Pet Medical Center. I will forever be grateful for all the staff and Dr Bach did to help us get through the loss of our 12 yr old dog. Aside from calling multiple times, sending us flowers and cards Dr Bach made a donation to UC Davis in honor of him. They really have a true love for all animals!!

Staff is friendly and made my fur kid comfortable. They really care about your pet and don't make you feel bad if you can't afford to do all their recommendations for care. They will even recommend other options if available.
