Tarzana Pet Clinic Tarzana, California

I have been taking my dogs to Tarzana Pet Clinic for my entire adult life. I have owned a total of two tiny toy poodles, a bichon, and currently a teenager, I mean a Maltese Mix ( Toy Poodle). My parents used to live next door to the previous owner of the Encino Pet Clinic, and my dad felt that they had to use them cause my parents had a dog that passed in the night and his neighbor took his body that night. But when my dad drove to Bakersfield, California to purchase a tiny 12-week toy poodle, he charged $200 and said he was fine, looking at him for 10 seconds. Two days later, he was having explosive diarrhea on my mother and father’s brand new Bloomingdale’s Down White Comforter. We rushed him to Encino Vet. They said - don't worry it's a virus. $2500, and he was unconscious on the floor in a corner. No cage, just a shunt in his neck, just on the floor, and really sick. Loads of lies and promises and lots of miracle medicines from Encino Vet ( Previous owner) I called Tarzana Pet Clinic, my vet. Both Dr Hoffman and Grasmehr we're outside. He was taken in by gurney. By that night, he was making some progress. He LIVED 15 years. He was around 6 pounds on a fat day, but lived to have a wonderful life. My first toy poodle had a terrible access. Although, he lived to 19 1/2 yrs. And passed in my arms. He was blind, deaf, and happy as can be. They danced nightly after dinner, my two gay tiny toy poodles. They ball danced. The Bishon was A dear. She passed of Pancreatic Cancer living on love and grape Pedialyte for two months. Dr Grasmehr is the original dog whisperer. She gets down on the floor and talks to them. My current 11 yr old does not know she is a canine, and Tarzana Pet Clinic and their staff are wonderful. My little girl swears she is a person and responds as one. No they are not discount. No they are not cut rate. Yes they are top rate. Yes they love your animals as much as you. Yes they care. Yes they know the newest treatments For me there is no choice TARZANA PET CLINIC Only thing I don't like. You have to pick one Dr. They are both excellent. So they need to fix that. When you have the best, how Do you choose? So if you LOVE YOUR PET. THERE IS ONLY ONE VET. Tarzana PET CLINIC. Dr GRASMEHR AND DR HOFFMAN. Dr Rhonda Solomon THE BEST ARE DR GRASMEHR AND DR HOFFMAN. If you want cheap. They are not. My dad always said YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR.

Tarzana Pet Clinic is the best. Dr. Grasmehr has taken care of all of our dogs over the years. The staff is friendly and professional and the care is second to none! Everyone here genuinely cares about the health and well-being of our fur family.

I've been a client of Tarzana Pet Clinic for more than 30 years. Dr. Hoffman and her staff have taken loving care of all my dogs, and continue to do so, even during these difficult times. Highly recommend her Clinic.

I have been going to Tarzana Pet Clinic with my dogs since I moved to Los Angeles many, many years ago. I have the longest professional 'medical relationship' with Dr. Debbie Hoffman than any other doctor of any type in the city! She is one of the most wonderful, caring, knowledgable vets that I've ever met. She is always up on the latest issues, treatments and practices, and I never feel rushed when I am there. If there is a problem, Dr. Debbie takes the time to explain exactly what is going on. If there is anything questionable, she will do research or get another opinion to confirm treatment options-- and I know I can trust her with the course of action that she recommends. The staff is always friendly and courteous-- both on the phone and in person, and there is a true sense that everyone there is more than just doing their job...they have a deep love for animals, and they care about their clients. I would highly recommend Tarzana Pet Clinic to anyone looking for exemplary medical care for their pets!

The clinic is apparently run very efficiently, because I always feel that my time is respected. With Covid protocols, employees come out to the parking lot to bring your pets inside and bring them back out. I'm never waiting a long time in my car, and if there's any delay, someone inside will call me in the car to let me know. Also, my dogs are always happy to go with whoever comes out to get them! They're not afraid to be at the vet's office.

Dr. Grasmehr is THE BEST!!! She is so caring, very responsive and a BRILLIANT doctor! She treats animals like the family members they are — And is the perfect mix of capable and compassionate. I’ve been going to see her at Tarzana Pet clinic for about 10 years and she has cared for four of my pets. ** Highly highly highly recommended! **

Have found Dr. G to be terrific and very much focused on getting our girl to be and feel the best she can. Would like the practice to go back to office visits for both the doggy patients and the parents again as the parking lot shoveling in and outs time has expired. Dr Swan is fantastic but there is another vet there that would take any opportunity to get extra money out of our pocket. When we needed our dog to get in for a quick timely treatment that same vet wouldn’t help fit us in. We were constantly given dates weeks out. She also charged us for new visits on the same issue, not the returning fee.

We love Tarzana Pet Clinic. The care & attention is very good. Typically our dogs have been seen by Dr Grasmehr, who is exceptional, but on occasion if she was out of town other vets have pitched in & they were all great. Helped us navigate one dog through cancer & neurological disease and now with a new crazy pup. They seem to really care about our pets as much as we do.

I have been going to TPC for many, many years. Dr. Grasmehr is outstanding, and I am fortunate to have her watching over Noodles. She is everything anyone would want and more to take care of your dog.

I was introduced to Tarzana Pet Clinic by my best friend, several years ago. All the folks in this office are super kind, patient and friendly. Special care is taken of both the pets ... and pet parents! They never make you feel like a number or rushed through. Communication is top notch! My best friend and I have taken our pets to Dr. Grasmehr for 20 years, and are willing to travel from Camarillo because we love everyone in that office so much!!

Took my cat here because I thought he might have a uti, turns out he didn’t. Regardless, the vet techs and the vet Dr. Swan were so kind and caring. Dr. Swan was super nice and thorough with the check up and the appointment was very affordable compared to other vets. They were also able to get him in quickly. I definitely recommend him and the Tarzana Pet Clinic for your pet’s care!

Dr. Hoffman and staff have taken care of my pets for years. They are incredibly compassionate, knowledgeable and professional.

Dr. Grasmehr is the absolute BEST. Have been going to her with our pets for over 15 years, and she continues to be OUTSTANDING. Three recent events: When our lab got cancer, as usual Dr. G was so on top of her field. Recommended me to a UC Davis study where they provided $35,ooo worth of immunotherapy- at no cost to me- instead of having to put her "to sleep" due to the pain. I got to keep my sweet angel- pain free- for another year and a half. Meant the world as I had just lost my son and couldn't bear the thought of "Lizzy" too. Recently my doberman cut his leg and needed stitches. Went to Urgent Care near home as I figured Dr. G would be swamped on a Saturday. Urgent care had a 3 hr. wait, and I had to be at work in 3 hrs. Called Dr. G. She said come now, I will take care of it in between surgeries! Yes, that is the kind of vet she is, and has been for the past 15 years! She is so incredibly special. Thirdly, when my lab finally did pass away, she donated in Lizzy's name- as she has with ALL of our pets over the years, to the Companion Animal Memorial Fund.

Absolutely terrific vet! While I cannot say it is not expensive, the care and the CARING is outstanding. Through routine checks to the almost inevitable more serious situations, Deb Hoffman and their team are responsive, concerned and so loving towards their furry clientele. We have been with Dr. H. for decades and through many pups and never have we been even slightly disappointed. I would and have recommended this office to anyone with a 4-legged family member who only deserves the very best.

Dr Hoffman and the entire staff are top notch! When other vets can't figure out a mystery, in most cases, Dr Hoffman is able to! We have taken our numerous animals to her for years. The saddest day will be the day she retires! Hopefully, that's not too soon for our sake! :)

Great first time experience. This is a good clinic honest and not pushing unnecessary procedures. Dr. Swan is a cool guy very nice and honest. This is my new veterinary from now on.

Been bringing all our pets to TPC since 1994 and have always been pleased with the treatment of our animals. Everyone, from vets to support staff, are exceptional.
