Dr Bamford is an "old fashioned" veterinarian. You spend your whole visit with her. She doesn't just dash in for 5 minutes between veterinary assistants. Dr Bamford is very knowledgeable and very caring. My dog doesn't even mind going to her office. She has been doing an exemplary job of supervising hospice care for my extremely elderly dog. Quality of life is paramount. A few pills the keep him comfortable, diet and exercise to suit his changing needs. No unnecessary and scary/painful treatments. I wouldn't consider going to anyone else.

I was lucky enough to be reference to her by a friend my dog tweaked his back and was walking in a c shape she adjusted him and within three visits was back to running around like his usual crazy dog self I went to several other chiropractic and non chiropractic vets before I found her they all gave me their opinions/adjusted him but I did not feel that they were adequate/ effective with this problem only because I am also personally a professional chiropractic receiver (for over 30 years now) and I knew this to be an adjustment issue thank god dr. bamford did too

She helped with a treatment for my dog's hip problems and a pulled muscle on my other dog. She also treats large animals and will recommend holistic treatments or house hold items if possible. She's friendly and so great.

If you're lucky enough to become a client here (they don't overbook, no waiting for your appointment in the waiting room, so they don't always take new clients), you will come here for the rest of your life. I have been bringing dogs here for over twenty years. Not only has Dr. Bamford saved some of my dogs' lives, she has prolonged their lives with quality, adding years. I also run a rescue organization, so I have brought dozens of animals here, and I can say after years of going to many vets before I found Dr. Bamford, she is the best diagnostician I have ever seen. She always figures it out. She is gentle, compassionate, brilliant, available and amazing. I hope she works until she's 100, I never want to go anywhere else.

Who ever heard of dogs being happy to go to the vet? Mine are! Dr. Bamford is kind, calm and knowledgeable. She answers questions and asks good questions, like about nutrition and environment. We "tweak" their diet to suit particular situations. She uses holistic methods whenever possible, and when having to use something else will give homeopathic remedies to help detoxify the medicine that was used. Though each dog has gotten a couple of shots in this office, they don't realize that they did. There was no pain or force. One of the dogs decided to show off a skill she had learned (crawling) and got hearty praise from Dr. Bamford. My dogs and I are always comfortable in this office. They get an extra treat of being able to see the horses, donkeys and mules that live there.

Dr. Bamford is the best vet that I have come across. I have had dogs for years and it wasn't until a local vet in Highland Park ruined my dog's eyelid that I needed to search for someone that was not only competent and compassionate but also, knowledgeable about alternative medicine and preventative care. I will not go to anyone else - I don't trust anyone else. Her clinic is like no other. Instead of a cold sterile room with a metal table, and the smell of harsh chemicals trying to flush out the last animals scent, she receives the pets by coming down to them on the floor in a non-threatening way to help relieve fear. The room is non threatenting for your pets, wooden floor, carpet and it has all the barn yard smells. She is also very calm, gentle, and compassionate. I love the fact that you can be in the room with your pet during the examination and treatment. Dr. Bamford is very explicit and detailed about her diagnosis. She is very patient in answering your questions and listening to your concerns. Unlike other vets who's time is measured and sometimes dismiss your concerns. And the other great thing is that your appointment is always honored. None of that 1 hour wait or longer. The most I have had to wait is 5 to 10 minutes! She is the best! I will never take my dogs to anyone else - I feel very fortunate!
