Despite being closed to the public they took in some abandoned baby birds I found, before a fire started nearby and all the animals had to be released a few hours later. They were really great and took good care of the animals, it just sucked that I drove the 30 minutes there only for the birds to die in the fire later that day. Friggin illegal burners, starting wildfires...

I brought in a baby opossum. Anyone could tell he was sick and really underweight. The lady I dealt with was dismissive and I wouldn’t be surprised if someone told me she threw him in the dumpster the moment I left. She came across as uncaring and the first thing she did was measure him, like she wanted to see if she really had to take care of him or if he was old enough to release without a further thought. I had walked in with every intention to make donations with every paycheck I earned and volunteer in any spare time I had. The way this lady conducted herself and the attitude in which she ‘cared’ for the animal has made me never want to step foot in that place again. If a full grown animal of any kind had come in for care would she still have said ‘it’s old enough to be on its own’ ? Just because it may be of age doesn’t mean it deserves any less care and treatment. One star for her.

These folks are hard working and good group who look after injured and orphaned native animals. They do a great service to the community. The ta km e in the animals often brought in by locals. They'll recuperate the a urals and release them if they can.

Hidden gem in Suisun City! Housed on the edge of a huge estuary, this rescue group serves with a big heart. Has resident animals and birds, as well as creatures being nurtured until they can be released back to nature. Owls, hawks, coyote and more. Clean and functional, volunteers take great pride in the facility and work. Was able to get a "behind the scenes" tour during open house. Informative signage on displays and cages. Everyone is friendly and knowledgeable. Gift shop full of interesting books, jewelry, decor items helps provide funds for this important work. Slow and quiet environment is friendly to families, elders, and disabled.

Great place to see local wildlife around here. Perfect for kids. Small but tidy and staff is excellent for any questions. You can also bring injured birds and animals there. If you go to Babs for brunch take a trip there. Donations are always welcomed or you can even sponsor an animal. When I was there they had 30 baby possums to take care of. I sponsored one myself ????

If you find an injured wild animal, call them. They will tell you what to do with it. Give generously to support their program of rehabilitation.

This is a nice place to visit on a hot day. The sound of the water and the boats is pleasant. Be sure to take a walk through the wildlife preserve, lots of opportunities to take pictures. The bathroom is open until 4pm so plan accordingly. There are 3 or 4 picnic tables to rest on or enjoy a snack or lunch.

it was cool to go look at their rescue Birds. Very nice people. It's a cool place to go visit but not a super lot to do or look at. They have a fox(no, I think it's a coyote) there and several birds of prey there for rehabilitation .
