Critical: Professionalism, Quality, Reliability, Responsiveness, Value. I'm never bringing my cats to this place ever again, and I do not recommend anyone to bring your pets. Smokey was handed over to Sthephanie, she was distracted, and our cat escaped from his hands, (trap) in parking lot of Stanton Pet Hospital, on 7/02/2021. At today's date, we can't find our poor baby. Smokey is in a neighborhood that he doesn't know. Poor baby was going to get neutered. Smokey is a Feral Cat, he is 2 years old. The only thing Silvia the manager said, there was nothing she could do for us. Not even putting a photo in the window. She put it, because someone in the family asked them to do it. And Silvia put a super poor quality photo, with the crooked letter, that nothing is understood or seen. Description: Russian blue, long hair, fluffy tail. This ad is on nextdoor (pets lost and found) Facebook, pawboost , OC animal care Pet track. Please help us find our cat. --------------------------------------- Update 1/20/2022 Answer: There are places so that they say they are called hospitals with employees so ineffective that they look for excuses and pretexts to cover up their ineffectiveness. If employees were efficient, messages would be written to them acknowledging their good work as such. Nor should you have to ask a person who made a bad comment, why I write that as you did. They asked that, about the first review be arranged, so that customers do not find out that only ineffective people work there. Now they put as a pretext that the trap did not work, and I do not know how many lies they invent, to detach themselves from all responsibility and wash their hands, saying that it was not their fault when in fact it is, that they do not want to recognize it...that's another topic. But what can you expect from unprofessional people like you? Just lies and slander.

Cathy has now completely messed up on getting me an appointment twice. As a Hospice Nurse and a Disabled Military Veteran my time is very limited and any waste of it can negatively affect those in the final stages of their life. The first time, Cathy failed to call me back as she had stated and then the appointment she gave me neglected to schedule the main reason for the appointment. The second time Cathy worked with me to schedule the required appointment she again promised to call me back. In that call I had stated when my availability was. At least this time she put in the appointment the reason for the visit, however that is pointless if I can not attend the appointment. Also she failed to call me back and just assigned me the appointment without clearing it with me first. Then when I called she gave me some external appointment service phone line that I had to wait until after business hours to call. When I asked for her supervisor she said they were too busy and hung up on me. Very disappointing.

I am new around the area trying to find a good quality vet to take my German Sheppard to and let me just say after reading all of the responses here on the reviews I will never step foot anywhere near this animal hospital. Who ever is in charge of these Google accounts need to be taken off asap, I am sure you are losing a lot of business. Response to the owner: Many of your responses back to people especially ones leaving a negative review are aggressive and abrasive, yes i understand you have been in your business for a few years now but times have changed most people rely heavily on reviews now and take notice to how poorly the negative feedback was handled plus it shows a lot about their character(someone id never trust to handle my dog). I'm glad this is public and on your reviews.

Outrageous rates, taking advantage of the ordinary pet lover.

To whoever replied, I never said I had an issue waiting for my cat. Also, I think it’s very unprofessional disclosing my location and pets name. The rating was an honest mistake because I did not realize my phone had somehow changed the rating. I feel as if you could have reached out to discuss the reason for the one star with no comment instead of the respond made.

Very helpful and inexpensive, the team really care about the animals that come through their door. Getting ahold of them by phone is a little tricky but that's because so many of us want call them at once.

I deleted my original post. I was frustrated that I could not get my SO urinary pet food without my cat being seen. Another vet was able to provide me the food without the cat being seen since I had covid but nonetheless I know its a difficult business, and my issues are with the overall industry selling non-medication pet food requiring a prescription. Take care.

This place is so incredible and gave the best care to my beautiful Lola. They were truly amazing so caring and respectful to our unique situation. Not only the staff but the doctor as well. It was a heart breaking situation and they helped me to get through the hard time of having to put my little girl down into eternal sleep. From start to end they were extremely compassionate and truly caring. I highly recommend this establishment they truly care and treat you with complete respect. It was obvious that the doctor was doing what she loves and is passionate about what she does. After my little fur-baby's passing they allowed me to stay with her by her side until her precious soul crossed over. I have not gone through this experience before but they made it so human and didn't treat it like just another business deal and just another dollar made. It was compassionate and respectful. I am so grateful for them. Orchid Vilchis

Worst experience, ever. I will never ever come here again due to the poor communication of the vet and unacceptable waiting time. I discussed everything with the representative on the phone before making the appointment, then the Vet said totally a different thing when I took the dog to them. All they want to do is making more money and trying to take more money from you. Our appointment is at 10am, it took 2.5hr till my dog got his vaccine. What is the point of making an appointment! Bad service I have ever experienced. Not recommended. Updated: the shots that my puppies had initially had were in the U.S, not Mexico like she responded. Please do not twist the truth.

I pulled up and they are totally disorganized, lady is screaming spinning in circles. There is no parking so I pulled to the side, one of their older reps yells can't park there (obviously..I wanted to be close to door so can leave my baby with them since they said dont get out of car and so they dont have to walk to me while I'm further away). I proceed to tell her yes I know but I have a patient where should I park. She said idk somewhere else, not here (I didnt even have my car off) a She basically said with attitude F'U lady, I'm tired, we booked too many go figure it out. So I find parking next door and got out , sign out front says to call them, I called twice left msg. 45 min later still no greeting, no call backz she came out twice and so did another rep (they see me standing there with a dog). She could've said oh I'm sorry I know parking here is horrible, what's your dogs name? maybe try parking next door and I will go get his forms and be right with you. NOPE.! If that's how they treat me how can I trust them with my senior baby?

The positives - They assist with spaying and neutering of feral cats that are brought in by people at a very reasonable price. The vet seems to care very much about the care of all animals feral and private pets alike. Her pricing for private pets is also very reasonable especially compared to other vets in the OC. With all that being said nothing is perfect! They are very busy so the wait time is long, the office staff works hard as do the techs and the doc but wow it's a long wait and that can be frustrating. They don't sneak in extra charges either but everything is priced out separately so if your getting your dog fixed pain meds, anesthetic, etc are priced out but it's still less expensive the most other places.

I fully and wholeheartedly believe Dr. Kavanaugh to be one of the best veterinary doctors here in Orange County. She is thorough, inquisitive, cares about her patients and is a straight-shooter with her clients. Most importantly, her prices are not lucrative and her care is conservative! Her front-office staff on the other hand is not well managed. I cut them A LOT of slack because they are consistently SLAMMED with appointments and because my pets are ALWAYS well cared for. Needless to say, every staff member is kind and respectful, BUT the front office staff needs better management. Please note that most of my calls go straight to voicemail, when I do leave a voice-message, the call is not returned. Office staff is unorganized, forgets to memorialize/chart treatment so that it can easily be looked up on our next visit. I'm sure I'm not the only one with this issue. I truly try to be understanding by scheduling my appointments on my days off because of how long the visits take. I also know that working as a tech in this field is exhausting, physically and emotionally demanding...my sister worked long hours at one too. However, this issue needs to be addressed, staff that can manage the office frenzy needs hiring because I don't want this place to be known for its delays, but rather for the quality care it provides.

If you are going for the low price spay/neuter, just be aware that they charge extra for the microchip, and pain meds. We were surprised that the animal’s surgery did not have pain meds included.

If you love your pet then please do not ever take them here. They were all rude, long wait time, unorganized and treated my dog horribly. They claimed he was "aggressive," however, I've taken him to other vets who have all said he is great and just need time and patience. To top it off, they constantly wanted my dog on sedatives anytime he was going to go to their office. They rescheduled my dogs appt multiple times, once while I was waiting in the parking lot! There is a huge disconnect with the vet and her staff. They were saying one thing and the vet told us another. The final straw was when the office assured me that my dog was going to be seen at 9:30 am. I took him exactly at that time and they didn't even see him until almost 12pm. Don't even get me started on the way they handled my pet. Please don't give them your business! Update (response to Dr Kavanagh): I went more than 1 time. I remember the time off I had to ask for to come to this horrendous place. I was extremely patient and yes my brothers behavior was not the best but I completely understand why. He did what no one could and told you guys that this place shouldn’t be practicing. ALSO your employee Sylvia asked if he was aggressive and my brother responded with “he’s been attacked 3 times.” Sylvia marked him as such and the problems kept going from there. Even you, the doctor, said that your staff should not have treated us this way. Honestly, we didn’t have a choice since this was the only place the sponsor said we could do the surgery. I hope you never have to struggle financially, Dr. Kavanagh. Instead of replying to bad google reviews, why don’t you take action and call back the people who have had horrible experiences on here and yelp. You definitely have my number. This place is far beyond loving! DO NOT BRING YOUR PET HERE.

Unprofessional. I did have a good experience when I took my dog to get neutered here but I don't even know why they take appointments if they are going to keep my dog all day for a yearlt vet visit. My appointment was for 10am and they told me pick him up at 2pm. Okay that's fine. But 3pm they call me and say he will be ready in 20-30 minutes and so I head over. I call them that I'm here and waiting whenever he is ready. Fast forward it is now 4:30 and I call to ask if he is ready since it's been way past the 30 minutes they told me. They proceed to tell me that they already said they will be out soon. This is ridiculous and a waste of my time to be sitting out here when you guys told me 30 minutes not an hour and 30 minutes. The lady when I called again to check up on my dog since I've been sitting out here for an hour and a half said "we already told you he would be out soon" and hung up on me. Well it's been 30 minutes since that call so obviously our definition of soon are different. However, I would like to add the two ladies who came and picked up my dog and gave him back to me were the sweetest ever.

I am sincerely happy with the level of veterinary care they provided. Was not as pleased with their communication with us though. I realize that the pandemic has changed things but I thought I was clear when I said I didn't want to leave the kittens there. I said I would like an appt. Time and I would wait in the car. That didn't work out and I was forced to leave them and go home. I live about 25 minutes away and still hadnt gotten a call from them at 15 minutes before closing so I hurried back there, a little panicked that they would've gone home already. I look forward to the day we can go in with our pets and comfort them as well as speak to the vet in person.

The Doctors there are very confident and make you feel less nervous because of their ability to know and understand what discomforts your pet so that's the first thing they do is make the animal feel save and comfortable and the entire staff work as a team to communicate between you , the Doc, and each other . They will also help you find donor's or charity's that can help with your bill if it turns out to be more then you thought , all the staff have always shown compassion for you and your pet they have a very professional staff , the lobby when open is well cleaned as for the rest of the rooms and they are a hotel and spa service as well and one that put the cherry on top for me is their office visit cost is 1/2 maybe even less then what I have paid at our regular vet and meds too ! But if your pet is in need of any kind of care and your not willing to give up your 1st born pet or human and you want the kind of staff that feel for your pet like you do friendly , clean and efficient then the Stanton Clinic may be small but they are mighty ! And I trust their care.

Well conclusively, do not go to this vet. My appointment was at 2pm, was told my cats exam would be “done in a few hours” which was already very vague. By 5:45 (they close at 6) I called because my cat does not do well being out of the house so I know she was very stressed, I called inquiring about when my cat will be ready to hear that the exam had not even been started so I asked how much longer it would be. They told me they would call me back and let me know, 40 more minutes to by so I call again and they answer and hang up 3 times so at this point I show up and say I’m taking my cat home and ALL OF A SUDDEN the vet calls about her exam asking for permission to proceed on some stuff. I end up picking my cat up at 7:30pm for her 2pm appt with the staff included the vet being horrendously rude and had to wait another 20 minutes once there just to get my cat back. Except Jessica she was lovely. But the rest of the staff are the most incompetent, rude veterinary staff I have ever encountered.

Do NOT take your pets here. My family and I had been taking all of our dogs here for a few years now but this place went downhill. They make you call to let them know you arrived for an appointment so they can walk out and get your pet. That’s safe and all, but why do I schedule an appointment at 9am if you won’t come to my vehicle until 9:30am? And then they keep my dog there all day. I had to keep calling to ask what was going on and if my dog was ready. I literally picked him up right before closing and he had no food all day. This was not the first time this happened, it happened a few times. Do not wast your time and money here!!! Don’t waste your time coming to Stanton Pet Hospital. Go to Happy Tails on Chapman and Valleyview. Dr Berka and her staff is amazing! No need to drop off your pet. They will go to your car and you wait outside while your pet is examined. AND the Dr comes out to talk to you if there are any concerns. Not over the phone, in person. The staff and Dr are amazing here.
