Staff is fantastic. Cages and space is always very clean considering the amount of birds are there.

Highly recommended. My cape parrot stays here whenever I'm out of town and they treat her like a queen ???? she loves everybody there. They're very clean, organized and will often post pictures of your parrot on Instagram so you can see how they're doing when your away. It's a dream come true to have a place like this nearby... Absolute blessing

OK. Let me first start by saying that this hotel is INCREDIBLE. I've only recently started taking my parrot here and I'm SO grateful that this business exists. I'm able to leave my beloved parrots with peace of mind knowing they are in such great hands. WHY 3 STARS???? The owner. BIRGIT. She is hard to describe but i'll do my best. BIRGIT I have found to be incredibly rude and elitist. The way she sizes you up and evaluates you upon arrival, has really cold "small talk" conversations, all of it is just very off-putting to me. I've never felt SO uncomfortable in a business owner's presence. I've made it a mission to avoid being at the hotel if I know she'll be there - I strategically plan to pick-up and drop-off if I know she won't be there. It's a confusing feeling because the staff is WONDERFUL, and frankly; if any of her staff were to leave; I'd take my business elsewhere or find another solution. BIRGIT is incredibly condescending and COLD. This is based on not just my interactions with her but as I observed her with others. It is very clear to me how much the heart and SOUL of her operations are her high quality staff. They are warm, inviting, and take an active effort in caring for each and every bird as if it was their own. Birgit on the other hand seems like she couldn't give a damn. She needs a dose of humility and people skills if she plans to keep this hotel going.

I can't say enough good things about this place. Truly beautiful service. I am so glad I found then to watch my conure babies when I travel. I extended their time and they were super accommodating. Love, love, love this place.

Great place to board your bird in the Bay Area. The staff are passionate and knowledgeable about all aspects of bird care. My bird Popcorn has been there over 8-9 times, and each time she has been fantastically taken care of. Highly recommend!

I can’t even express how awesome this bird hotel is. The prices are extremely reasonable... and so worth it. Birgit and her staff will treat your baby as their own. They are spoiled with attention, fresh fruits, veggies, and treats... covered at night, cage cleaned daily. My tiki always is picked up a happy camper because he loves it there! He is taken out, given attention, and freedom to roam and socialize with other parrots! I miss the social events, due to COVID this year. But I feel so lucky to have a bird hotel in the Bay Area knowing that I will always have a place to board tiki and know that he is in great hands. Birgit is truly passionate about birds and loves working with them. For anyone that feels costs can be a burden for whatever reason.. just call and inquire! If it’s multiple birds or whatever.. just contact them and work something out! There is no better place to board your babies than SF bird hotel. ☺️

What a wonderful place! The owner and employees are very friendly and helpful. They clearly love birds and it shows in their care. The place is clean and organized. When the employees are feeding the birds and cleaning up cages, they talk to all of the birds. They welcome people to stay and look at all the birds in their care, and have a seating area in the macaw room. They will send you updates and pictures during your bird's stay if you inquire. My macaw had her first stay and looked so happy there. The place is incredibly affordable and I will come here again the next time I travel.

This is one of the most important pet services in the Bay Area. It's one of a kind and the only of its kind. They do a great job! They love what they do and it shows. The place is clean and organized and your bird will come back as happy as it was when it arrived. I highly recommend this place!

I would love to board my birds here if it was more affordable for me. When I last inquired it would cost the same whether I supplied my own travel cages or used theirs. Something doesn't quite add up here. Otherwise, if money wasn't such an issue I'd be getting away like I want to to be with family and friends out of town. It's hard to find reliable people to watch my birds.

Always a joy to bring gypsy here , staff is friendly , they feel like family . I don't need to worry if my bird is well taken care of . Price's are reasonable .???? Flexible drop hours open 7 days a week . Close to freeway .

My bird loves it when he is staying at the bird hotel. He is always happy. Really good service. I keep my bird there every time I have to leave out of town.

I'm updating my review now that I've officially boarded by Blue and Gold macaw at the SF Bird Hotel. Previously we have enjoyed the parrot social events held there (Squawk and Play). With safety measures in place, this business has been able to operate during the pandemic. This has been a relief for us because my parrot needed some time away from home. I am very pleased with the care and love my macaw received during her stay at the San Francisco Bird Hotel. She got to spend more time with her parrot friends from previous Squawk and Play bird social events, and even decided upon a new *bestie* while boarding. My macaw received healthy food, lots of quality time around other birds, and attentive loving care. I could not be more pleased (and relieved) to have such a great place like the San Francisco Bird Hotel for my macaw's "home away from home." I maintain that my review stays at "six out of five stars." BEST. PLACE. EVER.

They take good care of our birds while we are away.

Thanks to Birgit, Cathy, Myra and the entire SF Birds Hotel staff we are able to visit family overseas knowing that our beloved green cheek conure is lovingly looked after. I can’t express enough how blessed we are to have the SF Birds Hotel in our community. Our bird stayed at the hotel many times, for both planned trips and last-minute emergencies (in which Birgit and her staff kindly helped us in moments of need). The longest trip we took was a 1 month and a half stretch. We were worried to leave him for such a long time, but he did wonderfully and we were able to check in on him almost every week - Birgit is very patient and truly cares about your peace of mind. She made sure to fix and replaced his favorite toys so that he could play with them daily. Birds get fed healthy fresh food daily just like at home. Most importantly, birds do get supervised time outside the cage regularly - this was very important to us as our bird is flighted. I can’t recommend the SF Birds Hotel more warmly. We honestly would feel lost without it.

We bring our Scarlet Macaw Lava to the San Francisco bird hotel every time we go away. No matter if it's only for a couple of days or weeks, we are always at peace, knowing she is in the best hands. At the bird hotel Lava gets a big cage, fresh food and the staff takes her out frequently to let her fly. We are so thankful for this wonderful opportunity for Lava to socialize with other birds and be taken care of so well. Thank you San Francisco bird hotel team & especially Birgit ????
