You will be put on hold 10 times and disconnected another 10 times before you can get to talk with anyone on the phone. But if you can get past all that tacky hold music with your sanity in tact, it's a pretty good veterinary practice. I guess they don't know that there exist online services which can handle appointments scheduling for them rather than needing to do it over phone.

Very professional staff, they really know what they are doing. The Vets take their time and make sure that your pet is taken cared of and they make sure you are very well informed on what's going on with your pet.

Dr. Goss is amazing! We could not get an appointment anywhere to have my 14 year old puggle who was wheezing and coughing with what turned out to be pneumonia seen. Goodbye Conejo Valley Veterinary Hospital and hello Dr. Goss and Sherman Oaks Veterinary Group! We are forever grateful and will be forever loyal!

The team from receptionists to veterinarians always fo a great job with my babies. Specifically, Remy, my Aussie, is a nervous wreck. He does best with lots of praise and positive reinforcement. Most vets he has been to just say they will treat him nicely, but his demeanor when he leaves says otherwise (I know, I've worked at vets and the love amount the staff gives really depends on their staff's individual character). While he's still a ball of nerves when he leaves Sherman Oaks Veterinary Group he is much calmer than all other places. Even before covid shut everything down, they let me come get him from the back so he wasn't shaking and crying. Recently he had an urgent care trip to them for skin issues (which are clearing up nicely), then less than a week later an ER trip to another hospital (unrelated puking). They were amazing on checking in on Remy ????.

Sherman Oaks Veterinary Group is the best. When my regular vet was too busy to see my dogs, SOVG stepped up and have been doing a grand job for us ever since. Love the staff, love Dr. Gos!!!

You guys are awesome! I trust your good judgement and skills when it comes to veterinary needs for our dog. We've been to other vets but, we feel that you are "right on" all the time. You are conservative in your treatment suggestions but extremely assertive and aggressive in addressing the medical issues at hand. We always feel very confident about you resolving any medical issue that our dog may be experiencing. Thank you for keeping our dog happy and healthy!

My only issue with this vet is something that isn't their fault, which is they're always super busy. They're currently the only vet within a pretty large radius that takes walk-ins. That's my only complaint though. All of the staff I've interacted with have been wonderful and helpful. I've dealt with 4 of their vets and they were all great. Also they were extremely helpful and kind when my cat passed away. If you don't mind waiting a little bit, they'll take good care of your babies.

The staff and doctors are incredibly caring and efficient even whilst being overrun by clients and their pets needing care. A relief to know one can come here for help!

Took my furry baby labrador/ collie here to get neutered, called to schedule an appointment took him in for check up , same day got it done! Unlike other places kept making appointments after appointments before his surgery and it was getting frustrating. My baby loves this place.

First time in, based on very high praise. Considering we had an appt, I struggled to remain calm during the 45 minutes it took to actually get in to see the vet, while asked multiple times if we had an appt. Brand new pup who is still quarantined due to unfinished shots stuck in portable crate. Lots of anxiety. Once in, loved them. Lovely humans. A little conflicted on my feelings at the moment. But we will take the pup back in 3 weeks and see how it goes.

Very busy office. I tried calling numerous times on the weekend and kept asking to be put on hold.

We've been coming to this Vet group for 7 years now. For regular visits and for an acl tear surgery for our dog. They've been amazing. Where they really stand out is through this pandemic. We have recently had several emergency situations with our foster dog and personal dog. We have called EVERY emergency vet in the area, all of which are too busy to accept another pet and all of which do not allow the owner in the room with the pet. Sherman Oaks Vet Group has been the only one to accept us, even with emergencies. We are allowed in the exam room with our pet for comfort. They have surgeons, ultrasound machines, and I am sure much more. And they aren't even a vet ER! They care about animals. Plain and simple. And it shows. We are so thankful for them.

Over the past 3 months I have taken my cat to this vet 4 separate times. They all failed to diagnose a heart murmur upon physical examination which shows that they either failed to listen to his heart (which is part of a physical examination) or are so inexperienced and incompetent that they didn’t know what a murmur sounded like. He was brought in for health issues unrelated to his heart so the first thing that should be done is to fully exam the cat and take thorough vital signs. That is the bare minimum. He was seen by 3 separate doctors here. We had to rush him to an emergency vet a few days ago to find out he had heart failure. 2 doctors at this emergency vet had informed us that with how much his condition has progressed, he has had the heart murmur for at least a year. Had this been caught just a few months ago, my cat would have a much longer life expectancy. The fact that all of this went unnoticed speaks volumes of the negligence and lack of care at Sherman oaks veterinary group. Never take your animals here. I am devastated and just can’t believe how negligent and careless these doctors are.

Great staff and medical team. Dr. Cohen is warm and kind and explains everything clearly. My dogs are very comfortable with him and are so happy when they see him.

They placed my animal in harm's way by failing to keep vaccine up to date based on info sheet I shared at intake. A boarding facility receptionist spotted it. If you want to have to second guess everything this place is for you! This is not the first time, the other two stories are TLDR, but I trusted one too many times. Will be taking business elsewhere. Also, you can make an appointment or show up in person and have to wait the same amount of time (usually and hour) even just for prescription pickup which they never seem to know about even if you call in. Every. Single. Time. This place is dangerous.

Sherman Oaks Veterinary Hospital Group killed sweet Amore the Teacup Yorkie by removing her teeth after her spaying surgery without her owner's permission! And have yet to take full accountability for their actions. Please do not take your pets here if you truly love them and want them to stay alive. Just because someone works in the animal care industry doesn't mean they ACTUALLY care about animals and at this hospital they simply don't care every animal is treated like a social experiment here. Rest in Peace Amore
