I have a portuguese water dog puppy who needed her shots and puppy check up. I had taken her to Santa Clara Pet Hospital for her 1st visit and had the worst experience. I told myself I'd never take her back there, and a friend (shoutout to Steve the baseball guy!) recommended Reed's. NIGHT. AND. DAY difference! The staff were friendly; they explained how the pandemic protocol worked, apologized for a long wait and offered both me and my puppy water as we waited. We were together the whole time, which I was thrilled about... the other place separated me and my tiny puppy for her first Dr visit and left me standing in the freezing parking lot. That's not a pandemic protocol, that's laziness and poor planing. Dr Reed and staff and knowledgeable, kind, and treated me an my baby like family. I cannot recommend them enough!

Lovely vet hospital. My dog's teeth got professionally cleaned there and they did a wonderful job. We also went here when my cat got sick, and the main vet is great.

Dr.Reed and his team save the day again! Today, Sunday August 22, we had an emergency with our German Shepherd. The team was able to make time to evaluate and care for her. They did not rush us, and we felt very heard and cared for. Even on a hectic and busy Sunday. Wonderful experience everytime we come here. Knowledgeable, and caring staff. Thank you Dr.Reed and Team!

Asked for two things to be addressed when I brought my dog in, vaccines and an issue with his back. The doctors did not vaccinate him. Did not provide me with a receipt or summary of charges and made payment difficult. When I followed up with the vet 3 months later to get the paperwork of the procedure I thought he had gotten done, they informed me this was not the case and I was trying to talk to the receptionist and she simply talked over me. Rude and unprofessional.

All I can say is check prices elsewhere before buying any medications from them. Items that are marked up 30% or more are presented as the only option.

This place is not a good place to take your dog. The staff is all cool except the doctors. they act entitled and are not willing to listen to the customer and respect them. I have had 3 bad experiences here with doctors specifically. Also every time I ask for anything like a copy of the ultra sound they never give it to me. they just want your money and do not care about your animal. If they gave a curtesy text or call before an appointment that would be nice. I got a text once from another reed animal hospital saying your appointment is tomorrow. then I called and told them I have never been to their location. They were disrespectful to me and told me its automatically sent. I asked to make sure its not at your location then the lady got all mad at me. I have spent thousands of dollars at this place and I feel like I get better record keeping and customer service from starbucks.

They will take your pet the next day, which helps relieve anxiety about your pet's condition and conveys a nice sense of urgency. Even though COVID-19 interferes with everything, the tech's come outside to fetch your pet from your car. After examination and approved testing is finished the Vet comes outside to explain the situation and recommended treatment.

Dr Reed and staff are attentive, thorough and truly care about the wellbeing of your dog. I have a rescue who is anxious around strangers. Dr Reed was thoughtful enough to bring the dog outside (COVID-19 times) and complete his examine with us present from the trunk of our Jeep. He remembered this upon our second visit and came outside to do his entire examine, explaining that he didn’t want my dog to experience any anxiety. My dog had an infection that another vet couldn’t fix. Dr Reed took cultures and showed me results of what medications would combat his illness. He even had me text him to make sure the medicine was working. Cannot say enough good things about Dr Reed. I highly recommend this vet.

We originally came here because this office has weekend hours. And our dogs never seem to need care during the regular workday. Caring and knowledgeable, each of the vets here at Reed’s has offered the best services at reasonable prices. Our puppy broke her leg. It was a bad break, requiring surgery to pin it so healing could begin. We saw The team frequently for split checks and x-rays and they were always just wonderful. This practice is a jewel in the Silicon Valley.

I am surprised at the number of positive reviews of this place. I got a new puppy and was so excited about this place as it was a mile away from home. Their staff Emily and Katelyn are so rude, they actually hang up on you during the call. Their appointment times are a disaster. You need to wait for upto 30 minutes in your car from the time of your appointment. While my puppy for neutered here, he was asked to come in at 8 am and no information. Was given until 3 pm. He didn't even get to surgery till later. Here's the kicker: the cost of the neuter was $980. The cost of neuter elsewhere in the same area is $400-600 for the same sized dog. So the tldr is: they are rude and expensive. Save yourself the attitude and go somewhere else.

After moving to Saratoga, I was worried that I would not find a good Veterinary like the one back home in Monterey. The first Veterinary Hospital was right down the street from Reeds, unfortunately we had to stop taking our pups there because of a vaccine that was given to one of our pups with out consent, which was also a huge bummer because one of our pups had developed a cough after moving here, and I felt we were getting somewhere with her treatment. After reading the reviews for Reeds, my husband and I decided to give it a try. On our pups first visit, we shared what was going on with our pup and how the treatment at Saratoga Veterinary Hospital was helping her. At the time our pup was seeing Dr. J, she was the best and really listened to our needs and concerns, after trying out new medications, my husband and I wanted to take a holistic approach on her care. Dr. J put together a plan. When I called a couple weeks later to ask Dr. J a question I was informed that she was no longer working there. I never received a phone call to let me know that she was no longer working there and if we had a preference in which other doctors will care for our pups. Dr. Reed was now our pups new doctor. Well things were not the same, the medications prescribed only helped for a few weeks and her cough would come back and at times it would sound worse than before. We did our research and spoke to our family and friends and also reached out to our doggy community on Facebook, everyone was so helpful and gave us possibilities of what she could have, the biggest was Chronic Bronchitis and collapsed trachea. When we shared these possibilities at Reeds, they were a big NO, and it was always the same thing...x-ray medication, back to the vet we go.....another x-ray and medication, and again and again, they really love their x-ray machine. Well this last visit was with Dr. Eberle 12/10/2020 because Dr. Reed was not available until the weekend and our dogs cough had gotten worse, and we were going on 3 days of no sleep, if any at least 4 hours. When Dr. Eberle saw our pup she let us know that it was Chronic Bronchitis!!!!! Finally, someone really took the time to do their research and examine her correctly. They gave us her medication and told us that we needed to go to CVS to pick up the third one. I went to CVS that same day and they told me they were no longer working with the company that carried that medication. I called Reeds that same day and told them the situation, they told me to try 1800 pet meds and also Chewy.com. 1800petmeds was sold out and Chewy did not carry the correct dosage she needed and in the form she needed it in. I called back Reeds and was told to try different pharmacies. Well, I lost it. The medication that is going to help our pup is sold out and here they want me to go and find it, as if I have nothing to do, when I had just called them on my lunch break. and to top it off the prescription note that was written for the medication was never put in the notes, because when I called the guy that answered had no idea what medication I was talking about and that the medication was not in our dogs records. I am sure they are great at what they do but its just not the place for us. The advice I can give anyone is, do not be afraid to speak up if you see that the care for your furry friend is not the best or if you feel that your concerns are not being valued. You are your furry friends biggest advocate. SPEAK UP FOR THEM!

If I could give Dr. Reed and his staff 10 stars I would. I had to say goodbye to my beloved dog, Scarlett, yesterday. I wanted to give her a peaceful and serene ending of her life without needing to bring her in to a vet and cause more stress and fear. I hadn't met him before since my dog had a different vet, but he put me at ease immediately. He was the most gentle, kind and compassionate vet I've ever met. He created a soothing and gentle departure for Scarlett. His soothing demeanor helped ease the pain and grief I was feeling. I'm not usually one who writes Yelp reviews, but I felt compelled to write one for Dr. Reed because he was so wonderful. You can only get euthanizing "right" once -- you don't get do-overs. Scarlett's was peaceful and humane. I feel comforted knowing that she spent her final moments at home in her favorite pink bed and that the process was smooth, painless without any struggle. Thank you, Dr. Reed, and your wonderful assistants and staff. I am grateful.

I was really pleased with the care provided by Dr. Eberle. It was our first visit for my senior dog and she did an excellent job with his teeth cleaning, teeth removal (5!), and removal of three bumps. I was really concerned and had a lot of questions and she patiently answered all of them and gave me enough time to decide between anesthesia and anesthesia free dental. I am glad we opted for the anesthesia one since she could take care of the bumps. The reception was really great too and everyone was very willing to go above and beyond to get support from my pet insurance (Embrace). Highly recommend getting pet insurance for anyone as vet costs in the Bay Area are outrageous, and this is not a low cost clinic (mid-high range).

We have been coming to Dr. Reed's for over 8 years now. Primarily the Campbell location, but recently we switched to the Saratoga office. Couldn't be happier, attentive and considerate staff both in the front office and examination rooms. Only complaint is about the parking, it's a busy location.

Reed hospital sincerely cares about your pet no matter what the issue is. Dr. Reed and the vet technicians and staff saved my 1 year old puppy when other vets couldnt give her the appropriate care fast enough. I feel like dr. Reed never sleeps he cares so much! Highly recommend.

We started bringing our older dog here recently, although we used Dr. Reed years ago with his previous practice. The facility is spotless, the staff are super friendly and helpful. They take as much time as needed to answer questions and discuss treatment options. Their online store has regular sales on food and care merch.
