I came in because my dog has a uti. The woman told me She needed an X-ray and that I needed to buy these anti anxiety meds for my dog so she would be calmer when she got it done. The first charge was very expensive and I made it clear I’m super broke but she still added very expensive and not asked for flea medicine even tho I made it clear she didn’t have fleas. Later on they said nothing more about the X-ray and I consulted another vet who told me the X-ray and the medication I was given was unnecessary for what she had which was an infection. I wanted to get the best care for my dog for the best price because it’s all I can afford but the didn’t even call me back with results of her infection for over a week the whole time she was in pain. I don’t recommend this vet if you do go, do your own research and make sure they don’t screw you over.

I guess I should be lucky that I got the dogs back alive after reading the reviews which were just horrible horrific horrendous stories of neglect and poor everything Took two dogs in for dentals one dog was $400 and the other dog was $1,000 after they insisted that three teeth need to be pulled out and I insisted on getting the teeth and one was a huge bottom molar and it looked absolutely fine Please do yourself a favor and go anywhere but here if you care about your pet

A dear friend recommended this clinic after bringing 2 of his dogs here. They were great to work with; very compassionate and took the time to explain everything and be sure we understood treatment plan, after care, and costs. They took such good care of our dog we would not hesitate to bring her back and refer others. In this age of covid they are wonderful about precautions as well. You pull into a numbered parking space then call the number posted to let them know which space. Everything happens at our car; paperwork, handing over and receiving our pet, and even payment.

My dog ate hotwings from the trash and was limping the next morning. Had to get to work so i called every other vet place to see if i could drop him off for them to check him and then id pick him up at my lunch or after work. Nobody could and theyre wait times on the phone were loong just to tell me nope. Finally called this clinic and they answered right away, spoke with marie she was nice and actually listened to my situation, told me to bring him over. They checked him out and they're prices were affordable. My dog is better now and they managed to work it around my work schedule. Nice to know some places still care about animals. Thanks Marie ????

My first visit required I hand Lila Terrell 500$ to see my 3 dogs. I would return after my last three hours at work. Upon my return I saw THEY still had my dogs in their crates, stacked on top of each other. I asked for my money back as they had not been seen. They said they couldn't do that and the next day my blind dog, which they knew was blind, was unable to walk and was in extreme pain. I learned from a tech in private my dog had fallen out of her crate when a tech opened the door and turned away. The crates were stacked 4 high. My dog was in the top. Turns out my dog had a severe injury and was drugged with pain killers and MASSIVE steroids so I wouldn't notice the injury. Upon my inquiry they REFUSED to let me see xrays from the previous day. A tech sneaked me back with another vet and showed me.They KEPT ALL THE MONEY AND CHANGED my pet insurance form to PAY MY 90% reimbursement to THEM, NOT ME. Incompetence, overprescribing unnecessary drugs, financial fraud, failing to check blood sugar levels on a diabetic dog before being given a LETHAL dose of insulin, altering records, falsifying the vet was in attendance while the dog was dying, not even being checked on were ALL in my complaint to CALIFORNIA STATE BOARDS. At that time state boards, specifically, were being run by the Sunset Committee, run by Susan Geranon who refused to have these GHASTLY circumstances INVESTIGATED because the investigator was a personal friend of the vet. Then she channeled my calls to only herself and never took my calls. Then of course we had the issue of a doctor under supervised management while he kicked a drug habit being advised by the owner that the doctor would take the rap if he talked to authorities about the facts which would destroy his license. AND lest we not forget that when our pets had to be seen by the emergency clinic Terrell, his wife and his staff refused to release our records...along with SO MUCH MORE. BLESS THE HEART of the tech--later fired for this--for dumpster diving in the dark to retrieve the bottles of drugs and record copies they threw away to keep me from getting them and reporting these issues. And of course we learned that the owner was spending extraordinary amounts of time in southern California defending lawsuits against him...from those who trusted THEIR pets to horrible incompetence and vet/staff grave errors. Finally, the stolen high end purebred dogs being filtered and relocated through this vet and getting oodles of money selling them as ''rescues'' via do-gooders profiting from these thefts and sales as rescues and evading contacts with authorities while these ''rescue groups'' bred these dogs for SALES to make big ''charity'' bucks. And all this while the state boards were telling callers to vote on a bill limiting judgements AGAINST VETS et al to $l10,000 or the cost of the pet (a shelter pet =$0 value). BE ADULTS. BE WARY. BE YOUR PET'S BEST FRIEND. BE PERSISTENT. BE RESPONSIBLE. DON'T BUY INTO IMAGE. YOUR TRUST IS WORTH EARNING. CHECK with state boards before you submit ANY pet to the care of AFFORDABLE VET CLINIC, AND ANY OTHER VET before you trust in THOSE OUT to make a big buck based on their image. You owe that to your beloved family member who would die to love and protect you. There is NO REASON ON GOD'S EARTH THEY SHOULD HAVE TO.

So I was calling different places to get my bunnies spayed and neutered but at this time they dont offer those services but the lady I spoke with took time out of her busy day to call around and find me somewhere I could take my bunnies. Although I couldn't get my services done there the customer service here is incredible. I wish I got that girls name! Bless her heart ❤

I took my cat in on Friday to have them look at a possible infected scratch. They recommended he have two of his teeth removed and they could do it that day. I agreed foolishly, trusting they knew better than me, my cat is dead today.. Sunday we had to put him down literally two days after this procedure. He came home beyond sedated.. so lethargic, ill.. went into respiratory failure the next day. I had to take him to the emergency vet twice since they were closed. Then we had to put him down for his comfort. My cat was otherwise healthy, older but living his life just fine.

Do not take your dog here!! I took my dog there on Sunday, we see the lady doctor she does not know how to do her jobs, she does not love or care for dog as doctor should, she does not want even to touch my pup seemed like she scared of my pup so how can she exam and know what issues. My doc was very sick and en up died from poor serviced!!! she is not professional to working as a veterinarian!!! you have to enjoy animals to be a veterinarian. However, there is one thing good: The office staff is nice, but sorry I will never return to this clinic, not any more!

I cannot think Lila Terrlle enough for her recommendation ???? ????????Best Affordable Animal Hospitable Ever. Truly Very Affordable ”???????? I took my Chihuahua named pebbles for a teeth cleaning and a mass on her chest. I was met by two ladies named Monica and Cassie. They were very professional and very helpful and very kind. Pebbles was seen by Dr. Lee, he assessed the lump on her chest and gave me a very reasonable quote to have it removed. Once that was removed he went on to look at her teeth. Pebbles had an impacted tooth, and several others that needed to be removed. The quote that they gave me Was very affordable and the best that I have been given by anyone. I would most definitely recommend this veterinary hospital, Dr Lee was very kind, I felt very comfortable leaving my pebbles in his capable hands. Sincerely, Toni Pump and pebbles

Worst place to go to. Very rude people and they misdiagnosed my dog and my dog had to suffer with a bacterial and yeast infection because of Covid and trying to find a new vet to take her too. Also gave my puppy the wrong shots and when I confronted them about the puppy shots they were very defensive and when I asked for all my animals records they refused. Find another vet. They do not know what they are doing and very unprofessional. Paid for puppy package and had to pay another vet for both of my dogs treatments.

Took my 7 month old cat to be nutered. When they called for me to pick him up I asked how he did. The girl who called me said in a very monotone voice " he hissed allot". My cat only hisses if he's being threatened, or scared. Never did see the vet not even a phone call, and they did nothing to follow up on him. My cat has not acted the same since I took him there. He's not very response to me. He has always been a very loving, cuddling cat. Not now. He is extremely jumpy. I go to pet him and he jumps. This is not my cat. Not the cat I know. I might be wrong but doubt it. I believe something happened to him while he was in their care. You have to understand my cat NEVER acted this way before. Needless to say I'll never take my cat back there again. Happened to have come across review's of this place. Rating was 2.4 and a 3.5, says it all.

Call me crazy, but isn't it little odd that all the people leaving 5 star reviews have only reviewed 1-2 businesses? This being one of them... Always read the bad comments first!

This place is very disorganized and has very careless employees. I took my puppy there to get all of his required vaccinations and so I purchased there puppy package to a get all of his shots here. After returning for his next set of puppy shots, the lady at the front couldn't seem to find his records and had no idea about what shots he had received. I couldn't believe that people that I prepaid for all of his shots, had lost my puppy's records. So unclear if my dog was fully vaccinated or not I decided that it was time for a new vet. Not even 2 weeks later my puppy got kennel cough. It isn't hard to believe that it was probably affordable animal clinics fault for not keeping track of what shots my puppy had received and forgetting to give my puppy his final shots.

We have taken all our of our pets here for the last 10 years. Everyone has always been friendly and great with our pets. I have nothing but nice things to say about this place and will continue to take our pets here.

The only good thing about this place is they were able to get my sick cat in same day. I will never return to this clinic. They ran two test and then the vet actually said to me after test came back negative “we’ll, I don’t know. should take him to hospital. I don’t trust all our testing.” Ok, wow. I don’t mind paying for the actual testing but to charge me for a office visit is ridiculous. Could have saved me $100. Next time, just send me to the animal hospital. The vet to me doesn’t have much experience in diagnosis. Also, I was told they send all the animals away to the hospital. If you are just doing immunizations, I’m sure this place is fine. I’ll never return. Also, the place is filthy.

The staff is nice enough and the doctors seemed competent. I had to wait 45 minutes in the lobby for a morning appointment which was a little odd to me. If you are already that behind at 10 a.m. the rest of your day is going to be hell. My biggest comment/complaint I have is that affordable is merely a part of their name and not actually their business model. Their office visit costs $10 less than other vets, but their quote for surgery was literally twice the amount that I paid at another vet. I also got vaccines included in the lower price at the other clinic. Very happy I went for a second opinion.

UPDATE: My dogs ear has ballooned back up again and looks exactly like it did before surgery. He is also now DEAF after coming to this clinic. I researched for hours and found out that the antibiotic (Oti Pak E) they put on his ear is known …

not any more affordable than any other place....Nice people, however i had to take my cat to another place after she got vertigo from a treatment there. Also they wouldn’t give me a prescription for flea meds after a pricy visit...they wanted more $$.

Warning: This vet pushes surgery for an aural hematoma and the oti pack e which causes deafness. It's worth it to read all the 1 star reviews on this place.

I've always had animals, and Dr. Lee is extremely knowledgable and honest. I now drive over two hours because I know my pets will get excellent care from not just a good, but a great veterinarian. On the way to San Francisco I saw the Affordable Animal Clinic sign. I called them because my kitty had just been diagnosed with "most probably a malignant tumor in his throat," which would have been a very expensive surgery. I'm so glad I called. Dr. Lee told me he felt the problem was possibly asthma. We got x-rays, and there was no sign of a tumor. Dr. Lee also told me he had seen a problem with my cat's kidneys on the x-rays, and put him on an advanced prescription diet because he's an older kitty. There was no charge for the visit, only the x-rays which were less than I've paid elsewhere. When I first went into the place I was worried because the exam room seems unsanitary. This is only because it needs a new coat of paint. However, I choose Great Care over surface appeal. I love the doctor, and the staff, too. Best animal clinic, hands down!

I can only assume the positive rating on here are fake. First of all this vet wouldn’t look in my dogs ears unless they put her to sleep “standard practice” they said... but the vet put her nose into my dog’s ear and told me she was fine. WRONG! I took my dog to see a different vet who had no problem looking in her ear as part of the office visit exam and found that she actually did have an ear infection. Do not go here even if it’s your only option!

Horrible staff at counter. ZERO empathy or concern for you or your pet. I'd give zero stars if possible. Monica in particular is incredibly inconsiderate, rude and has the bedside manner of a psychotic serial killer. Also, I was told initially that spaying my cat would cost $175, which when compared to other options seemed reasonable - but when everything was said and done the bill was over $325 - nearly TWICE what I was quoted. If you care about your pet don't take him/her to this place!!

We have taken our cat here before. Today I called and they gave us a same day appointment on aSunday. My son was all over their office. They were on time. Knowledgable and so nice. This is the best place to go in Sonoma county!! I recommend them to anyone I know that needs a vet.
